MelissaDflipReally love this podcastI somehow just discovered this podcast as I produce and host a marketing podcast and wanted to research some info from a few other sources on one of the brands I am covering - Weight Watchers. I am so happy I found this. I love the format, I love the hosts voice. The research is solid and overall, it’s very well done. Keep up the great work!

viulianovBetter with the new format. The new format where they look back at the history of market segments or companies works well. You get to hear where Barron's columnists got it wrong or right and why. Hoping they start it up again.

Odysseus TiedIncreasingly Better than Jack HoughI’m a long time Barron’s print subscriber and I liked the way Jack Hough refreshed the Streetwise column. Initially I liked the Streetwise podcast and the witty banter is still great. Alas, for a weekly newspaper/magazine the was historically focused on practitioners, the Streetwise podcast is getting a little too simplistic and too drawn to beginner-level Q

bebemini24Very refreshingI am a new listener to the read backPodcast. If the Nintendo episode is a hint for what’s to come, I am very excited. I’m A casual video gamer and I do owns several Game consoles including Nintendo Wii. I am also relatively new to personal investing. Whenever I try to find resource on video gaming industry and investment potential, I was always left frustrated feeling the analyst was either to Wall Street oriented or that they were too hard-core gamer for me to appreciate. Today’sPodcast on Nintendo was an eye-opener because it’s authentic.I think he Jeffries analyst is also excellent. INever thought of Nintendo is in Apple like company but the more I listened I was convinced. AfterListening to this podcast, I am more likely to consider Nintendo as a potential investment company, becauseFirst in for most I find that companies who have their clearUncompromising visionAnd goals, that’s not based on profit margin, Will out run its competitions in the long run. Furthermore with all those IPs,And dedicated decade long followers,Should they consider to make mobile platform gaming market as their next target, I think it would be relatively easy and almost guaranteed (Again this is only if your heart is in it to win it hundred percent). The worst case scenario is that they will continue to have their ups and downs and unwilling to compromise on their priorities, but they still grow in a nominal sense given that the gaming industry as a whole is growing , and in best case scenario is that they have this for unrealized potential ahead of them. So I think the risk isn’t too bad, assuming their financialStatements doesn’t have too many surprises. I thank you so much for not doing a typical historical look back at a stock of a company. I Truly appreciate the Podcaster being able toable to convey to the viewers why a company can be still considered a success even ifTheir stock performance has not been so much so.

Ramrod2050ESG: A Terrible InterviewLook, I get that these are supposed to be short and sweet productions. However, it is hard to believe that as complicated an issue as ESG could be so matter of factly dealth with in 13 minutes, the shortest podcast yet. No pushback or delving into any issues by Alex, it was almost if he was afraid of his own colleaque. For her part, she gave the game away by quoting a comment from a "red state investor" to Larry Fink's letter. She revealed herself as a Pilgrim to the new, new thing. No definition of climate or sustainability was given. Does climate really mean global warming? or some other meaning? Does sustainability really mean green policies or corporate/regulatory cooperation to make us pay more for lightbulbs, toilets, HVAC systems autos, energy and keep those corporate profits rolling. As for sustainable, I have had to replace washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers at double the rate as those inherited a generation ago due to "green" new features. I can see where that benefits Whirlpool but not sustainability given all the resources required for greater product obsolescense. Social and governmantal standards are even worse thing given the diversity and partrisanship of our Country. ESG ids the duty of every citizen not corporations.

CaptainReedoFlawed podcast reporting.Respectfully, Barron’s March podcast about the problems surrounding Boeing’s 737 Max is itself entirely flawed, so overly-optimistic as to be pollyannaish, and just sloppily inaccurate, that it deserves a full podcast follow up retraction and update based on the actual facts and the “shoe-leather” reporting by The New York Times and The Washington Post. Based solely on this podcast, it would seem that Barron’s goal is apparently to buttress or even cheerlead a particular cover-story stock, rather than convey Pulitzer-worthy troubling facts about a flawed Max 8 design process, reports of poor fit-and-finish upon delivery, manufacturing process flaws, fired and reprimanded employee whistleblowers, the withholding of information about the *existence* of the MCAS system in the first place, the fact that a safety warning light was only available as a paid upsell, and other reported shortcomings that were all readily available at the time of this March podcast episode’s recording. Shameful.

honest thinkerWatch out for personal opinion.Extremely interesting! However I find the speakers as personally opinionated as they can be when they get the chance, This would be no problem if they would just let the listener know that it’s their opinion, especially if they get the chance to demean President Trump. Please stop making me translate out your personal opinion of what you think other people are saying. Today’s podcast is a great example of what I mean.
