I first learnt about John Bevere via his sermon on “Bait of Satan” on YouTube I sent it to so many people because it had taught me so much and cause me to repent of a lot of stuff I didn’t know were bothering me!!!… Jan 2025 I bought the book and it’s been amazing!!✨✨✨ love love love this podcast!!!!…. I’m 28 year old Christian mom and wife and in my head I’m apart of the Bevere family!!.. I love it here, sometimes I listen I’m so convicted ,other times I’m crying sometimes I burst out laughing and sometimes I’m just super encouraged and motivated but I can’t get enough… they are the friends that sharpens you… I love them…Lisa is so knowledgeable and I love the humility she speaks with…🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

This podcast is encouraging during these times to take heart, to not fear and be diligent about remembering God’s promises. He is faithful and this podcast is a great reminder to use all to be brave and share our faith and hope in Christ with others.

Such a great reminder of our time of pressure and years of waiting for a promise. A reminder that our Lord is growing us into the person we need to be for a big blessing. Twenty years of growth, prayer and waiting for my promise, nice reminder it will be worth the wait.

There is a small church down the street from me that had the banner hanging on the front of the building and as I was going by there one day I realized the deception of that and how it seems so right but is so damaging. First we dont have a true understanding of love, so that statement the world is just using to say we can love what or who we want and it is right because love is love and the “church” is using that to try and be a non judgmental, welcoming environment who is there to welcome all. In reality God is love and there can’t be real love separate from Him. My point behind all of that is to say, that is one of the reasons I love to listen to you both so much. I so enjoy hearing the both of you uncover and talk about, so candidly, the deceptive things in our culture that seem so innocent on the surface but has such severe consequences Left unchecked. Please continue to be raw and bold and speaking the truth in love as I know you do. It is what our culture truly needs.

Your marriage and your lives are a beacon of hope of the Gospel for those who are walking in the valley right now. Love the podcast! I’m a Christ follower but recently I’ve been thinking about the first church Jesus established. The Catholic Church claims to be that church. With you coming from a catholic background, is it wrong not to go to a Catholic Church? Or is reading your Bible and following Gods commands/attending church all you need to do?

I love this podcast, I love listening to it when I’m at work doing chores around the house, I have learned so much and my eyes have been open to so much I didn’t know or even thought about. This podcast is a blessing and I am grateful for John and Lisa’s obedience to God.

I first heard John on a focus on the Family podcast, and I loved hearing about Messenger International and his Heart for God’s World/Unreached People! I still remember where I was when I first heard him a few years ago! I was biking over the Clearwater bridge, a causeway to a beach in Florida. I started looking for more about him and listened to Driven by Eternity, Adament and Without Rival by Lisa. I also started listening to this Podcast. I was really encouraged hearing their story about how they got started in Ministry and how they were simply obedient, John driving around his Pastor etc... and then how eventually how God blessed him and gave him more and more opportunities! My husband is a Hispanic pastor, now assistant pastor at larger English speaking church. I have a huge heart for the unreached, and been on many mission trips that range in a week to a couple months and have worked at a MK school in Indonesia! Right now I’m staying home with 3 little kids! I also got to meet Lisa at a conference in Tampa last fall... I never write reviews but yes I’m a huge fan of almost anything John and Lisa! Thank you! I listen to your podcasts (mostly through YouTube). I found Conversations and then individual ones that you both do. I even listen to At Home with the Bevere’s. I am very, very thankful for the truth I get to hear and the example of integrity you try to set for living a godly life. I recently read The Awe of God. I can see so many changes in my life, marriage, and daily interactions because of the wisdom and knowledge God gives to those who seek to live with the holy fear of God. In a recent episode John spoke about his book Driven by Eternity and the story of Affabel. WOW!! The allegory presented through the story of Affabel is probably one of the most riveting stories I’ve ever read. My whole body reacted. I cried. I shook. I repented. My eyes were opened and I am changed! Please do more with this story. Please talk about it more so more people’s eyes and minds can be cleared of the chaos and clutter of the world. We are so much like Independent , Deceived, Faint Heart, and Double Minded. I don’t think we see how lost we truly are! What a simple story that uncomplicated Holy Truth. We will all stand before Jesus. The scales will fall off our eyes. We will see that He is who He said He was, no matter what this world says. May we live this day for the truth of that day!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this podcast. It's refreshing to hear from such a wonderful couple who openly share their struggles, journey of faith and how to overcome through Jesus Christ. They discuss family and cultural issues while equipping listeners with biblical wisdom. I particularly appreciate their extensive use of scripture and how they apply it to contemporary situations. I’ve been bingeing on it and I’m so encouraged in my faith. Thank you, Lisa & John.

I’ve been watching John and Lisa since I was 14! I’m now 23, married to a Godly man, and we have 2 kids and we serve as leaders in our youth group. I can’t thank God enough for all the wisdom they poured out on me at such a young age and to be able to relay what they have taught me to my own kids and my youth kids. I truly couldn’t have made it through my teen years without them and I hope to pass it all along tenfold! I thank God so often for these 2! Off topic,I remebered the other day that my senior quote in my yearbook was something that Lisa had said in one of her sermons☺️

Love love love the content. 5 stars for content it is off the charts. John and Lisa are both I credibly gifted teachers and they bring a lot of powerful truth. I appreciate their honesty and transparency as well as their ability to speak to hard issues. They have insight and wisdom that is crucial for our time. I am a pastor and I learn so much from this podcast. My big issue, and for the record, I am not against women in ministry I actually pastor with 3 other women on my staff. But for me, Lisa interrupts John constantly and it is immensely distracting. Even to the point where I would say she is disrespectful. I doubt it’s intentional on her part, but she constantly corrects John and literally jumps in over his voice constantly. Let the man share just as he lets you share. I find myself many times saying, “wait wait Lisa, let him finish I need this thought!” No podcast is perfect, but my goodness, it’s hard. But hey, chew on the meat, spit out the bones right? Lisa has a lot of great points she makes, they are BOTH gifted gifted teachers I respect and love. Just want that to be clear.

As a new(ish) wife and an even newer mom, and of course, lover of Jesus, I have found the content you provide to be empowering, encouraging, and practical. On a side note, Lisa, I listened to an episode where you talk about your gift in praying for women to get pregnant. Our world needs Godly fathers and mothers, and John and Lisa flow in this anointing. I enjoyed the relationship podcasts in February and would ask for more practice and Biblical information on how to be friends with someone where both parties are interested in getting to know each other with accountability and wisdom. I sometimes find, being a single Christian, we haven't been shown how to do this well and rewarded the friendship foundation in a relationship that could turn into a marriage. Hello John and Lisa. I’ve been listening to your podcast for a while now as well as the Home with the Bevere’s. Not an episode without laughing and sometimes tears!! Thank you for your honesty and dedication to teach. I’m not young anymore but still young at heart and mind!! (😇). I’ve been sharing your podcast to my Boyfriend who’s out of the country. We always have great discussions (like a post Q/A… 😁😁). This topic doesn’t get old!! So many preachers will not even touch this topics Esp countries who does NOT “accept” divorce. Spouses will just continue being with others. While a lot will stay just because… 🥲 I’ve been living in the US for more than 30 yrs. When I got divorced (19 yrs ago), I was treated like an outcast from a lot of people. I didn’t get much support and I wish I heard about your ministries back then. But it’s not too late to keep learning and improving my life esp my spiritual life as I continue serving God through leading a Bible Study group. Thank you for sharing your life’s stories!! Last year I had been listening to The Bible Recap each morning but once I was finished with that I found that I needed something God inspired for my morning drive to work; it just starts my day better. This podcast filled that need! I love the fire and passion for God that Jon and Lisa have. They communicate so well what God needs them to say. Highly recommend.

I have been listening to sermons and podcasts from all of you for a little more than a year now. I have been reading a chapter a day from The Awe of God since January 1. I want to personally thank you, John, for the wisdom you have shared in this amazing book! I didn’t have a healthy fear of the Lord before because I was bound by pornography, but after reading the revelations you have received from the Holy Spirit about having a healthy fear of the Lord, I can confidently say, “I am walking in freedom!” This podcast has also been such a blessing with the dives you all take into the problems and questions that everyone always has! I have been listening to the Beveres since John spoke at my past church in 1997 and I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Dear John and Lisa, I just HAD to share my thoughts on the recent podcasts that you spoke on rejection. I’ve dealt with rejection since I was a kid, boys in high school never liked me etc. Thank Jesus I found my true love after being born again when I was 17! I still deal with rejection today especially from certain “family”….but after hearing this podcast, it helped me to refocus on wanting to just please Jesus and not be rejected by Him. Plus I’ve listened and read most of your books and sermons since 1998 and thank You for taking the time to pray for me in person when I was at my lowest. My spirit needed that “jump start”.
