The same format for every show is so tired. Do an actual deep dive into a program it conference. Your “previews” are a 30 second list of who you think is best. Do something different and for the love of god lose the weird sound effects.

I love the show but rarely gives any love to the mids. How about a Kent State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio U, Stony Brook, Southern Miss every once in awhile?

I listened occasionally for a while just because I consume a bunch of NCAAMB content… but Rothstein has a super annoying voice, asks incredibly shallow questions that are basically the same for every coach, so you end up learning nothing, and it just a infomercial for the programs. The last straw was when he gave Chris Beard a platform after getting the Ole Miss job, and just lobbed him softball after softball, without even addressing the elephant in the room, much less asking Beard a tough question. Unbelievable. I’m unfollowing, and hope you save yourself the trouble.

Jon Rothstein knows the players and teams. But, the podcast is so robotic and there are so many annoying repeated words and phrases that it gets distracting. Jon says the word “obviously” so much that it could become a drinking game. Also, the rote ads and stock talk is so predictable that it detracts from the show. Catchphrase tries like “Put the women and children to bed..” and “Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel” and “We want to be your bible for college basketball” are truly off putting and sadly lame. Someone needs to edit and coach Jon about these things. That would improve the podcast dramatically.

Been looking for a college hoops podcast where the host is informative and knows what he’s talking about. Jon is definitely that guy. I wish the episodes were longer. I wish there was more commentary in each episode where Jon just talks. The interview takes up 95% of the show, and the other 5% is a lot of Jon trying to be flashy. I wish it was 50% show and 50% Jons opinion because as a diehard college basketball fan, Jon is one of the few people I talk and listen to who knows more than me. I also wish he would answer more questions from twitter. Again, I’m listening to this podcast to learn the current details of the sport and the great players the sport has outside the power 5. I wish more commentary was provided and more information was given to engage the die hard fan.

Too many plugs/shtick... Cut out the “radio voice” and make the guests the star instead of yourself

This dude is such a sellout. This 20 minute podcast is 15 minutes of ads and 5 minutes of content.

Overall this is a solid listen for college basketball fans but it is very annoying that the host feels the need to repeat his own name over and over and over.

Love the content. Love the format, love the intel. Really appreciate the interviews - sometimes coaches talk a lot without saying much, but I think Jon does a great job of getting great content out of coaches when they let him!

This is the best college basketball podcast and there isn’t anyone close to Jon. Great content and he always has a coach on as a guest and he will ask tough questions. Keep it going Jon.

Turned off after :90 secs. Couldn’t hack it. Used “obviously” three times in 90 secs. Obviously didn’t go to broadcast school.

If there is someone more knowledgeable about college hoops, I heard him.

Just found this podcast a few weeks ago and it’s quickly become a must-listen every time a new episode drops. Finding a great college hoops podcast is tough but this one definitely counts for that.

This podcast is good with coach interviews but lacks actual College Basketball talk, would like to see that before giving this a five star review.

Jon needs to update his stick. He is more lame than your grandpa trying to crack pop culture references. He does a solid job on interviews but the overall show is way behind One Shining Podcast, CBS with Norlander & Parish, Rob Dauster, and Andy Katz. He is much better than the ESPN trainwreck of Seth Greenberg & Dan Dakich.

I enjoy the quick moving, insightful and interesting podcast brought to me 52 weeks out of the year! The only knock is the cheesy opening line "let's put the women and children to bed and go look for dinner"....really?

No better way to kick off the season than to listen to this podcast. Great appetizer to the entree that is College Hoops. Jon is extremely knowledgable and has a very listenable voice Excited for more podcasts and looking forward to hearing his thoughts on all things Patriot League. Can Carmody turn Holy Cross around? Can Nate Davis continue what Dave Paulsen has built out in Lewisburg? Will Lehigh live up to preseason expectations? Is there a more anticipated matchup in the country than there is between Nana Foulland and Tim Kempton? Time will tell friends
