The Reeses Peanut Butter of Stranger Thing’s podcasts.
Jim & A.Ron and Anthony & Steve. Baldmove provides the best coverage of any show in the podcast game. Add the Perfectly paired “Perfect Stranger Things” podcast episodes from Anthony and Steve and this is just two great tastes that go great together.

    Cool but not the best
I love this podcast but I think streaming things stole my heart

    Bad fan theories
Almost zero meaningful analysis going on here. Just a lot of bad fan theories and predictions about future episodes. All very superficial. Don’t expect any depth to the content.

    Perfect stranger things eps!
Love these episodes from Steve and Anthony. True fans of ST and great movies/ pop cultural context providers. Presumably straight men who are very comfortable and adept at discussing queer characters. Looking forward to their rewatch of seasons 2-3. Season one on their original feed, Perfect Stranger Things so good.

As with every one of their pods, an absolute pleasure to listen to.

    Terrible
First time watching, started at the Papa episode. The episode begins with them droning on about nonsense that is neither enjoyable nor related to the show. Listened for another ten minutes and cut it off. Terrible
  • fenson76
    Did they even watch it?
6 minutes into the papa episode and you two keep calling Eddie’s uncle his dad and you don’t know he’s been held back twice. Hi f you’re going to do a podcast, know the subject. My first listen also.

    Too many mistakes
I don’t wanna listen to a podcast about a show where the hosts know less than I do. If you don’t wanna commit to thoroughly watching the show why do a podcast about it?
  • ? The mystery
    Pretty Decent 😒

These guys can lift my day
The commentary and jokes are rich, never boring and very insightful when it comes to the content. Been following for a while, I’ll even listen to them covering shows I don’t watch because I appreciate the conversation/ between these two dudes.

    Just let it go
I just started this podcast from the new season 4 episodes, and these guys seem like they couldn’t really care less. Totally feels like they’re watching the episodes in the background of doing other things. Making bad takes based on missing huge details, forgetting prior plot and character development, etc. If you don’t care about the show enough to watch it and really pay attention, maybe don’t continue a podcast about it.

    Terrible
These a holes have terrible takes.

    Name Change Needed
I feel like they honestly need to change this podcast’s name and theme to “The Bad Take Podcast” because it’s astonishing to me how off base they are on literally every theory and take they have. My annoyance at every “The Vecna” they say aside, I just don’t feel like they’re paying attention to the show at all. I’m totally cool with people theorizing, but I feel like they’re not even on point with anything they say. They don’t have understanding of any of the character motivations from the previous three seasons, and now they seem even more jaded and down about the show than ever, so their theories are so flipping bad. “Hopper is Vecna” is the absolute worst of the theories and is completely idiotic. “Chrissy was pregnant” was also pretty bad. #BadTakesPodcast

    Has its moments
Really liked this podcast last year but I feel like the hosts were overworked and stressed and went into these season bummed out I’ve the delay with the pandemic and we’re looking for issues, especially A. Ron. I love contrasting opinions but for a show that’s got great reviews, I feel like we’re spend a good amount of time listening to issues, misnaming Eleven as Seven, Not knowing how to pronounce Robert Englund's name. I started to lose faith. Seeing I am not the only person feeling this from this podcast.

    Drinking the Haterade
Season 4 is great and worth appreciating. These guys spend all their time wringing their hands and making it unenjoyable. Find another podcast to get your ST fix.

I liked this Podcast until I heard “Streaming Things” podcast
Ok, so originally I started listening in season 3, and I never minded the monotone or lack of enthusiasm delivery style. I actually appreciated their contrarian approach to the show because they held the writers accountable. As I’ve listened through season 4, i can agree with other reviews that it does come off as if the hosts don’t “love” stranger things, not because of their speaking style though, but because of the lack of attention to detail to very basic things in the story, that would help contribute to their theories. A lot of this season was Aron summarizing and providing a half baked theory due to lack of details and absolutely no support from his cohost Jim, who literally just remains awkwardly silent with nothing to add, or says his favorite words this season “I don’t know”. Jim, we know you don’t know, none of us do. We aren’t the writers, we’re here to hear you theorize and provoke thought, not nitpick apart the series without providing anything and saying you don’t know in response to everything Aron asks. The lack of attention to detail is pretty brutal…I would suggest better note taking for Season 5 & please Jim, remove “I don’t know” from your vocabulary during the show. The hosts enjoy Stranger Things, but I can see how it is hard to tell how much they actually care. Bald Move does a lot of different content though, so maybe they aren’t that focused on Stranger Things like other more dedicated podcasts. To quote Jim, “I don’t know”. In Contrast, The “Streaming Things” Pod is AMAZING. It’s extremely entertaining and rewarding. The hosts sound like legit friends for years, easily make you feel like apart of the show, provide constant A+ comedy and they LOVE the show, so the attention to detail helps make the theories hold weight and connect to previous seasons. (It’s also why they get a lot of predictions right). Trust me, as a listener, I had no idea what I was missing out on until I heard “Streaming Things”. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed

I gave it all of season 4
I liked it at first no lie but it got to the point where Jim constantly saying yeah to start every sentence no matter what started to ware on me. Then in the wrap up of season 4 they got plot points wrong then criticized it on there wrong view points and didn’t seem to remember what they just watched and recorded in earlier episodes.

    Exceptionally Mediocre & Underwhelming
Honestly I was late to the game with Dungeons & Demogorgons, having added it a while back but saved it for a companion podcast during my Stranger Things rewatch leading up to season 4. It started off fine and well, if not somewhat monotone and disorganized at points. I started to realize early on that, as pedantic as it may sound, the lack of attention to detail coming from the hosts was frustrating and annoying as it kept piling on and on. I can certainly understand some slip ups, but when they repeatedly get names wrong, or scenes mixed up, it just feels like they don’t care enough to put in the mild effort to get it correct. ESPECIALLY after years of watching a show and doing a podcast - I mean come on. Then in later episodes, specifically this most recent season, it feels as if they go into every episode with the intention to just rip it apart and seek out all its flaws. Which I find appropriately ironic considering how many flaws they allow to go un-fact-checked at broadcast time. It’s like the mild fun they used to have and the enjoyment they were getting out of this has waned and I won’t be returning for any further listening. I would recommend Streaming Things podcast instead. ✌🏻

    They just complain
With their first few season episodes, I liked this podcast, they had some good banter about it, interesting discussions. But with this newest Stranger Things (2022, season 4), right off the bat, they already showed so little enthusiasm in the show. Why talk about the show if you don't seem to really like it at all? They just complain and find so much negativity in it, and it's fine to have different opinions, but honestly Stranger Things has so much better writing than most other shows, I feel like these guys are so nit picky about the smallest things in the show and hardly have any positive comments about it....so like why make a podcast about it then?
  • Samnichols777
    Do they like the show?
If you want to listen to guys who don’t like the show review each episode - this is it! They spend more time whining about what they don’t like than what they like.
  • Arcade Shenanigans
    Entertaining and insightful
A couple former Indiana boys talking about stranger things and other film and TV. Plenty to like here. Check out their other stuff as well.

  • i wamt to be anonymous plz
    Um
if your going to do a podcast about stranger things you should at least say positive things about it. At least where I am rn you guys are just saying bad things about everything in the show and it’s not fun to listen to

    Seriously?!
Do these guys even watch the show?!?! They don’t even know the character’s names half the time! Seriously frustrating. Unsubscribing from this garbage. Waste of time.

    It’s pretty good
I actually really enjoy the explicit language. I feel like their opinions are more authentic and that it adds humor to the podcast. Nonetheless, I really like listening to this and it’s a podcast I can see myself recommending others to
  • chalall88
    Love the podcast
I enjoy hearing both of your opinions on the characters, plot, etc. I think the podcast flows well and brings a lot of interesting theories up. People complaining about the explicit language need to get over it, plenty of podcaster drop f bombs and I don’t think it draws away from any of the content or quality. Overall great job guys, looking forward to season 4 podcasts!!

    The phone call
Love the podcast but have you guys called the number(Murray’s number) that hopper yells out in one of the episodes. If you call 618-625-8313 it’s Murray’s recorded message and is very funny and may have a hopper tip!! Again love the podcast but def call for a fun surprise
  • MOPodcastFan
    Too many F-Bombs
Guys, you would have a great podcast if you didn’t feel the need to drop so many f-bombs. Started listening to the Season 3 recaps and found it too distracting. The show itself doesn’t use the word so why do you feel the need to?
  • Tehbestfunz
    Hard Pass
I thought their Game of Thrones stuff was pretty good since one of them read the book so at least there was a little bit of a clue, Aron was such a dope. But now they're both completely disconnected I'm clueless when it comes to this podcast. Some of the goofy toxic mail stuff spewing out the Jim was just incredible, and Aron seems absolutely as clueless as ever. BaldMove products are not worth your time.
  • Conzicann
    Mostly great
Funny guys with some interesting tangents. I find myself wishing they would go more into analyzing characters and story vs. spending so much time talking about what they like and what they don’t like. I was hoping that by season 2 they would stop calling Mike by Will’s name... nope.

    Honestly
So much inane speculation and attempts at knowing things, but completely unable to process the basics of real life. One of these dumbos literally referred to Leonardo da Vinci as “da vince-y,” and that’s what I shut this off. I can’t even bother to finish.
  • SweetAtti2ude
Didn’t watch the end credits 😩
Love the pod. It’s the usual level of awesome quality that I expect from Bald Move. A+ all the way. But Lord that advertisement *cringe* I straight up screamed out loud. Give it an intro !!
  • Randy7
My thoughts on the last episode.
    The American is EL sister?
  • AnonymousReviewerToday
    Great, but...
I just started listening to this podcast, with season three. It’s great, but I don’t understand the need for explicit language. It would be nice to listen and not worry who is hearing it. Clean up the language and it’s a higher rating.

    Great coverage as always
I love that the hosts grew up in small town Indiana in the 80s and appreciate the nostalgia factor like I do.

    Decent recap
Decent podcast but oh my god. It’s Steve not Steven and Byers not Breyers. Consistently saying the wrong names is maddening.

For final recap stranger things podcast -questions
Hi! Loving your wrap up. Also agree- as a child of the 80s -I figured I'd have been Erica's age back then- I've never had a show cater to me as much as this one! I loved it. Loved all the references. Back to the future with the soundtrack in background as Dustin can't get walkie to work is everything. And all the billy / Mrs wheeler scenes. Just cracked me up. I rarely have been so scared or nervous during a show but then full on laughing a moment later. Never ending story scene. Was amazing!!! Hoppers reaction. Ha! Anyway. Maybe it's because I'm a mom now but I kept thinking where are the parents! I do remember being out all day when I was little and never checking in- so I get that kids in the 80s just had no phones and just had to be home by bedtime basically. (Miss those days!) but there were some overnights that happened this season. Dustin's mom. Erica's parents. She didn't make it to her uncles party so where are the parents? And finally billy and Max's parents. It's nothing that's a big deal but I kept wondering. I wish they made some 80s comment like in weird science or risky business saying the parents where away for the week please watch your sister to billy regarding Max. Thoughts on the parents? Such a minor thing but wondering... And second... second season hopper's police station had a presence. Why didn't he ever call them for alittle back up. Or check in. He's like john McLain?die hard? Thoughts? Again... minor. Anyway. I love this show so much. I was also a lifeguard in highschool and those scenes were exactly what it was like! The lifeguards were hot elevated cops and it was just chaos and kids and no running. So well done. Not sure I've seen a show this good... ever. Thx for the recap!!! Man I will miss billy. Everyone loves an 80s bad boy. ❤️ Please feel free to discuss him more! Audrey
