The latest episode of a former Trump official who will be voting for Holocaust Harris is a perfect example of the absolute abysmal state of Latinx media. No critical thinking, just Trump bad, Harris good. Harris, who has vowed to continue to build Trump’s border wall, Harris of the Biden-Harris administration who continues to imprison immigrants, Harris who has abandoned DACA and Dreamers to appeal to the right.

Latina to Latina is one of my favorite podcasts, and the one I recommend most to friends and colleagues. Juleyka and Alicia curate the most amazing interview subjects with incredibly inspiring yet relatable life stories and impact. Alicia is so thoughtful and intentional as an interviewer. I have worked with some of the women she’s interviewed and Alicia has the skill to draw out the stories that should be shared with the world but with care and gentleness that make it feel healing, not exploitative. If I am ever interviewed, I hope Alicia is on the other side of that conversation. Every single episode is worth listening to. Every. Single. One! Thank you for this gem of a show!

Alicia is a mix of Tim Ferris + Oprah. From interviews with a farm worker turned Medical student, a corporate executive, philanthropist, and spiritual healer—these Latinas are so unique in their trials and triumphs, yet I relate with each so deeply. Pulled apart with Alicia’s brilliant, warm, elevating journalistic style—these stories remind us where we came from, and more importantly, where we are going. Latinas are literally the future of America, this is a preview of our impact at large. I want to give un abrazo to Alicia and every guest, this community could become a Facebook or private community too!
