    Eh
I want to like them so much more because I just want to hear people talk about Outlander but I find myself constantly correcting them or thinking “just wait” (book reader here) this is probably a better podcast if you haven’t read the books. Everything with them is so surface with this assumption that nothing will be explained later or that there’s twists and turns coming. They spend way too much talking about and picking apart things that have little to no consequence to the actual story.

    Season 5
I think this one announcer missed the concept of what the series is about. This is such a good series for it’s time it’s believable. Obviously she’s definitely from a time of privilege.

    Notes. Take notes my god.
I’ve now sat through 2 episodes and the amount of times I heard “I can’t remember who” or “I can’t remember the name” or “ummmm” or “hahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahhahhaha” over things that just aren’t funny. I understand the need to have an organic conversation but these ladies (save for one) are not well versed. Take notes in what you want to talk about. Take notes on names of characters. Take notes on what the characters actually said. Two stars for the one gal (not the sarcastic one with the vocal fry or the hyena in the background) who was able to string together thoughts and make some good points.

Ok Podcast. Hosts Not the Greatest.
I’ve never been a fan of the any of the Afterbuzz podcasts. They claim to be fans of the shows they review…but so often they don’t know the actors’ names, don’t pay close attention to the show (so often I’m rhetorically yelling at the hosts for something important that they missed in the show!) and most of the “review” is just their opinions, not any real knowledge of showmaking, directing or writing. In fact, many of the hosts just seem to be young, hopeful want-to-be actors (often talking about their auditions or pimping out their social media). Occasionally they make some funny comments, but usually I’m just face-palming at the dumb things they say that they believe are actual facts. It’s like listening to a high school production of a review shows that are hosted by casual viewers, not actual fans. I give it two stars just for being about a great show…Outlander.

    Poor Connection
Ruined the flow of the conversation. You weren’t able to give it a coordinated overview.

Skip This One, Especially If You Like Roger
Was turned off to this podcast after one episode due to the lack of historical knowledge, common mistakes of character names.... (it’s “Dougal” not “McDougal”....and he was killed at the end of Season 2, not 1 as y said......and it’s “Tryon”...not “Tyron”)..... repeated negativity about Roger, and one of the women on this podcast inserting her political opinions to compare a situation to the President. It was unnecessary, irrelevant, and unprofessional. Not to mention the multiple comments made about not being able to understand the Scottish accents. (“Roger’s accent is “worse” than Jamie’s.”.....”where’d his accent go??”....what??) Come on, ladies.... represent Americans better. Not all of us laugh at other’s accents. I’ll continue the search for a more objective and informed Outlander podcast.

    Episode 12
First time listening to your podcast. A little disappointed that you don’t discuss the differences between book and tv series. I think it would give fans more insight to Diana’s beautiful books. It would give fans a richer experience instead of speculation. Many of things that happen in tv series does not happen in the books.

    Ugh
While they try to offer insight, the hosts POV are lacking book knowledge leading them to ludicrous assumptions and off base predictions. Some of the hosts are so uninformed that I wonder if they even watched the episode. A mix of book and non-book readers would be more entertaining. This podcast needs a new look for Season 4.

    Read the Books
I enjoy the conversation about Claire and Jamie. But the girls clearly have not read the books and talk about plot possibilities that we know are not valid if you read the books i.e., when they are wondering whether Jamie is married when Claire returns 20 yrs later. Spoiler. He’s not.

    Read the Books
These women are incredibly uninformed about the story.. “is Jamie younger than Claire?” Really?? “It’s been three years, no wait three months since Brianna found out about Jamie.” Really??? Read the books. Give us some insight. I’m astonished this has the ratings it does.

    Disappointing
This podcast could be good if at least one of them would read the books. It's painful when they can't remember what's happen or even the names of new characters.

    Eh
I've listened to several Outlander podcasts and I'm sorry to say this is the least impressive. There are multiple hosts that are loud and irritating--whether it's the squeaking in excitement or valley girl talk. They get at least one character's name or relationship wrong per episode (calling Jamie's sister his daughter, etc.). They recount scenes totally differently than they actually happened often too. The hosts are constantly changing, which bugs me. Sorry, but I'll stick with my other favorites.

    Uggghh
This podcast is painful to listen to. These two do not do their research about the show. They mispronounce things all the time. Also, the conversation is so grating. I'm a big fan of Outlander but I'm probably going to unsubscribe.

    Great!
Love hearing the perspectives of non-book readers.

    Great feedback and analysis
Two non book readers give interesting analysis.

    Is anyone there?!?
We are almost 3 weeks into the second season and there are no new podcasts. They did this last season as well with the 2nd part of season 1 where two episodes were shown before they uploaded their podcast. It just seems like they're not really into this show. If you don't care, then don't be half-assed about it. Just take the podcast down. There are many other podcasts out there that will cover this show.

    Great Potential
This is a really good podcast with great hosts. Except Keaton. She is annoying as $#!+. She sounds like a chihuahua. Most of all, she talks over all the other hosts and acts like their comments don't matter, when they are usually saying something that we would be saying. I really like listening to the other hosts. They have valid point. There was an episode, I believe episode 4, Keaton was out and the set was peaceful and you heard everyone's point of view. Please assign her to something else next season. Please.

    Pretty good
Not a bad recap of Outlander. Some good insights. The hosts don't seem to have all of the facts though, but it isn't distracting enough for me to not listen.

    Do your homework!
I enjoy your enthusiasm, but if you are going to compare the book to the show, you could at least read the chapter that correlates.

    where_is_my_afterbuzz?
What happened to this group and their podcast? Two episodes into the return from the winter "droughtlander " hiatus and they are not back for their recaps. Have they packed it in and given up due to higher ratings of the competition outlander podcasts? I miss these guys!

    A bit too fan-atical
While I thought the first episode was okay, the second got horribly worse. The hosts gush too much, especially Keaton, and I was disappointed.

    New Outlander Fan
On a fluke, I tuned into Outlander on the internet and watched the first episode. Wow! Well... I had to wait for iTunes to carry it as I don't have cable. This show is amazing and I can't decide if I want to spoil what's coming next by reading the book. But gosh!!! I have to wait until April to find out what happens. I hope iTunes puts the next episode out on April 5th... PLEASE!!!!! Anyways.. thank goodness for AFTERBUZZ so I can listen to folks express all my thoughts. Love this show AfterBuzz!

    Great Outlander podcast!
Good discussion about both the show and the books.

Fans that can't speak, but they are fans!
The main host needs to get some vocabulary into her sentences. Just saying "I love it" all the time isn't a review. Either she's too geeked out to collect her thoughts or she's not articulate to begin with. I tried listening to the first aftershows and can't get through them. I came back and added another star because I went back and listened to all the podcasts. Perhaps not the most insightful discussions, but still a few people coming together with their honest thoughts and reactions. I realized, after a bit, how busy these panelists are with other podcasts and trying to multi-task different forms of incoming media while taping the podcast live... so that accounts for some of the scattered format. I do like the personnalities of all the 'casters.

    a little to much fan-girling
The host is way too squeelie and fan girlie to be tolerated. She needs to calm down and learn the some restraint and how to pronounce some of the names in the show. I appreciate she’s excited but it gets grating after awhile. There really is more to the story than Jamie and Claire are so hot and so hot together.

    Fun Podcast
I'm a new fan of AfterBuzzTV, and of Outlander. I've never read the books, but am Loving the show so far. Loving these recaps, they're so fun! I've been watching them on the YouTubes, getting caught up. Love love love the use of the show's intro song at the beginning of the recaps every week on the Podcast, and I LOVE the use of the bagpipes during the Predictions section. Look forward to the recaps for the last two episodes of this first half of the season, and then the ones for the next set in 2015 :)

    Ryan Was Right
The reason Dougal gave the food to the village was that they had just been raided by the English, and he was trying to show them the rewards of being loyal to the McKenzies to keep them in the fold. This would pay dividends down the road when they would need all the support they could get against the British in a revolt. The other village had not been raided and could pay, so Dougal took the money and prizes. E goat was important because they will produce milk even on a meager diet while the women might not produce enough on their own near starvation diet.

    Great to hear discussion!
I may not always agree with every opinion, but them’s the breaks and where I disagree the podcast always helps me sharpen why I disagree, which is all I can ask for. Keetin, Ryan, Kendra and Roya are always enthusiastic and great to listen to— keep it up, guys!
  • BadgerMuffin1986
    Keep it up!
You can really hear the enthusiasm when these hosts talk about the show and the book. Love the random movie plot comparisons like wizard of oz and lion king! Roya's random movie comparisons are hilarious! Thank you afterbuzz and hosts for such an enjoyable podcast!

Good podcast but could improve it a bit
I’ve loved these books for years and am so glad that they’ve made it into a TV show. Anyone who loves something enjoys hearing other people talk about it too, which is why I like this podcast. I love the enthusiasm that they all have for the book/show, however, I think there could be some improvements made to the podcast. I think as the host of the panel Keetin needs to do less summarizing of the show (we saw the episode, we know what happened) and ask more questions of the rest of the people on the panel. I feel like the show consists of her gushing about what happened and saying how great it was and how much she loved it. It’s her doing most of the talking. What I would like to hear, and what would be more interesting for us listeners, is to ask the opinions of the other people and get their take on the episode. From what I’ve heard so far everyone doesn’t always agree and that makes for interesting listening. I would like to hear more from Ryan because he has such a fresh perspective on the show being a male and not having read the books. Looking forward to the next episode of Outlander and the Aftershow!

    Great Outlander Podcast!!
I LOVE the Outlander books and am so excited to see them come to life on the screen! I think you guys are great and I love listening to your discussion each week!

    Enjoyed it
I love the enthusiam the ladies have for the books and the show, and love Ryan's take on the show, not having read the books. Will keep listening and watching on YouTube.

    Excited
I am so glad there is an Afterbuzz panel for "Outlander". The hosts are amazing and so knowledgable. I cant wait for the rest of the season.

    Great podcast
Enjoyed the hosts if this podcast very much. They are as interested in Claire and Jamie's story as much as I am. They don't make fun of the story like the hosts on some other Afterbuzz podcasts! Thank you!!
