I'm pretty disappointed in the Malcolm X lecture. We have to take education much more seriously. I wish I could have a word with this professor.

Just stumbled upon this and an so happy that I did. I just watched the first class on Du Bois and can't wait to watch the next. Kudos to Stanford for having the foresight to record the classes for future reference. Will also look for the text books used and the suggested reading materials.

Great series and a great teacher. Only wish had a list of films they watched in class and copies of all of the classroom handouts.

I'm a student at Howard and because I'm a musical theatre student, I have a lot of books that I don't get a lot of time to read. I stumbled across this class and downloaded the first episode and the one on Paul Robeson. After watching the first episode last night, I immediately downloaded 3 more episodes. The teacher is engaging and very passionate about his subject, and the material is thought-provoking and makes me want to do more research. Can't wait to watch the next episodes!!!
