Excellent No Mercy / No Malice on innovation
Very detailed and insightful analysis of government backed innovation. One of the best podcasts ever. However, advice to not invest in grad school to a caller in a subsequent podcast was problematic. Human capital investment is rarely a mistake.

Great one - Welfare Queen - hit the nail on the head!!!
    Thank you for speaking truth!!
  • nbsfmc
    Gullible & misogynistic
It is always the woman’s fault. Sherry Redstone (not Sumner), Sheryl Sandberg (not Marky Z), Cathie Wood (not any other dude in finance), and of course, all the women (certainly not Don Lemon). In his spare time, he’s happily laundering news for Ian Bremmer. The political show in this feed is awful too.

    Important perspectives
I enjoy the range of voices on this podcast. I especially enjoy Jessica in this environment. She is so much more at ease with these discussions. Instead of band of degenerates she usually deals with on Faux. She is amazing both places. I don’t always agree but I believe these are such important topics. Thank you for being a beacon of sanity in an insane (trump) world.

    False adage
You’re wrong re: nothing is as good or as bad as it seems….unfortunately things will indeed be worse than it seems. Please come up with a more appropriate adage.

The comparison of Musk to Milei is spot on
The playbook being implemented particularly by Elon / DOGE is a mirror image of Milei in Argentina. But, as Scott mentioned, the US is not Argentina, which needed a massive shock to get out of a death spiral. This is purely IDEOLOGICAL, coordinated by the richest man in the World, prescribing “tough medicine” on the poor and country, knowing he will continue to rake in government and foreign contracts.

    Diverse opinions and valuable insight
Great pod. Entertaining, funny, but full of value. Whether it’s the business insight, political talk, or the personal growth conversations, I often leave with some better knowledge about the world around me. Worthy listens.

Men…. Do we really need to focus every single thing we do to make their worlds better?
I know men and particularly young men are what Scott cares about. Fine. But it is hard to understand why he doesn’t see that all the stuff he points out have been problematic for women and girls FOREVER. I just listened to the episode about young men having no sex, performance concerns, etc. Okay. Women have had problems with orgasm since the beginning of time. Nobody cares. No viagra. Nothing. Why doesn’t that even get an acknowledgment?

    Golf
Why does Scott not play golf? He lives in England. Has homes in Florida and Aspen. Travels the world. Has 2 sons that should learn the game. He is athletic and works out. Great game.

Men need real therapy before sex therapy
They need help with their feelings and confidence If it's about developing meaningful relationships as you claim. Ppl have personality and attachment disorders. You cannot do anymore for the boner, all the meds are available. There are just so many other ways you could have addressed this but you're just pushing an app. I bet you're an investor. Barf.

    "Thought Leaders"
Love Scott abd Ed but they need to HONESTLY explain why they didn't see DeepSeek coming because investors (including plenty of people who listen to this pod) lost a TRILLION dollars today. How did you guys miss this??

    Re-rating from a loyal subscriber
I’ve been a loyal subscriber for sometime and have mostly enjoyed the content… until recently. While I like to be challenged, I don’t enjoy listening to a bitter partisan rant. Life is rich, Scott. Knock it off and maybe some of us will come back.

    Jumped the shark
Prof G, I loved your book, “Algebra of Happiness” and many other great things you’ve produced. Some of the best gifts friends have ever received from me (I.e., framed four leaf clover) are from Red Envelope - loved that business you created. However, you may have jumped the shark. You’re calling our President names (I’ve never voted for him) and using expletives to describe him? Please have some respect for that office. I’m not a fan of every President, but I never call them names. I’d suggest following Michelle Obama’s advice of “when they go low, we go high”, but she skipped the inauguration (lack of respect) and she’s probably “not proud of her country” AGAIN. Billions of people would die, to live in this country and many have died to protect us and keep us free. Staying on politics…Jessica Tarlov IS NOT MODERATE and it’s obvious to everyone. How is Andrew Huberman an expert on every topic he’s asked about? I’ve recommended your books and podcast to so many people and have learned from you a tremendous amount. Thank you, but I’m not going to listen anymore.

Raging Moderates, Please Change it Up!
Raging moderates: An excellent concept for a pod, more discussion is needed in this vein. Like myself, Prof G is a bonafide left-of-center rager. But Jessica Tarlov is something much farther to the left who, at least for the moment, lacks the objectivity or perhaps the depth of knowledge or the heart and ability to frame a much needed moderate's perspective. This has been an issue since the segment kicked off, but really hit home in Tarlov's defense of DEI and the LAFD's response to the Los Angeles wildfires. Newsom, Bass, and LAFD Chief Crowley placed deeply unpopular ideology/politics over competence, capacity, and readiness. LAFD gets plenty of funding if spent wisely. Crowley and her direct reports were hired by this ideology, which each of them proudly carry into the operations and hiring of their organization, subordinating quality across the LAFD. Tarlov's claim is that Crowley is competent which, at best, is a haphazard strawman; the question is whether Crowley was best to lead the department, and how would she optimize performance in a department that is critical in such times. A raging moderate would have spotted the inherent weaknesses of LA's leadership and questioned their personnel strategy, rather than leaping to Crowley's defense. A moderate would at least understand that DEI practices place undue skepticism on minority staff. A moderate would also understand the huge pricetag Democrats pay for the indulgence of identity politics, including lost elections, the opportunity to govern, and fading support for core liberal issues. Ironically, we are now also seeing a reversal of decades of slow but steady progress for equality and tolerance. And a curious moderate would be spending more time assessing California's post dumpster-fire political landscape.

    Love listening to Scott
Outside of his constant jabs and aversion to suicide, I agree with Scott 99.9999% of the time. Unfortunately, listening to Scott is like listening to a Greek clairvoyant tell you that in 3-days you’ll be eaten alive by a pack of hyenas, yet there is nothing you can do to avoid it….and therein resides the rub of Scott G. Nobody believed the Greek clairvoyants so their prophecies were ignored and their subjects unknowingly went on to meet their fates. With Scott I now know our fate but cannot stop it. "Let us imagine a number of men in chains and all condemned to death, where some are killed each day in the sight of others, and those who remain see their own fate in that of their fellows and wait their turn, looking at each other sorrowfully and without hope. It is an image of the human condition." Blaise Pascal

    Yawn
An out of control ego with repetitive messaging for the lost. A sidekick who is the Opie to Andy but more and more frequently the smarter of the two. The big ego says he wants to be the most influential voice in the history of business!? Move over Elon, Donald and just about every Fortune 1 million CEO. Politically motivated opinions mixed with off color jokes and self-praise. I got started when he stuck to valuable economic and market insights. The rest is just a boring.
  • makeupmyname
    Ugh.
Using the word “bold” for Trump’s agenda — dead giveaway. At least you’re transparent.

    Supports genocide
Listened for a few weeks and had to unsubscribe when SG made the argument that the genocide of Palestinians is justified and required, even after the guest he had (and expert on the topic) told him point blank that what Israel is doing will only make things worse.
  • Bangbanggoesthedrum
    Used to be great
I think this used to be great / amazing Pod … I just wish the conversation could find its way back to its core and focus on business, (and being positive). The constant politics has just gotten too much for me. I’ll prob still check it out … but just not part of my weekly practice anymore. Make this pod great again :)
  • Me number 10
    Useful idiot for the IDF
Ian Bremmer is amazing, however, SG continues to use comparisons of civilian to military losses relative to Gaza but not once considers the absolute difference in available technology, intelligence and dominant responsibility between the conflicts.
  • T Dillerson
    Smoke and Mirrors
The Prof G media enterprise increasingly feels like a vanity display to regurgitate the same pre-planned thoughts across multiple touch points. I mean, at times you’ll hear the same sentences verbatim across here, Pivot, and Markets. The whole “I’m a rich narcissist but I know it” schtick gets old fast when the content is so benign. This is well-executed personal branding by a marketing expert, and the value is watching how it’s done, not consuming the actual product.

Men mentoring boys and young men
I think a lot of mothers are reluctant to have a man they do not know mentor their boys. This is because the boys own father has failed miserably or just left altogether. If she thought she could trust their own father, how can she trust a man she doesn’t know. Also, so many men are predators. These mentors are not vetted and even if they are, the oversight is generally absent. I think it’s risky to tell your son to listen to a man who you do not know. Unless it’s a family member or a friend whose husband do you know quite well. Maybe a better idea is to have young men attend speeches at school. that covered ethics, morality and behavior toward women. It’s not that hard to become a highly functioning adult if someone tells you the steps and gives you the opportunity to succeed at that. You should approach some school systems and start a tour around the country that does this.

    True story
Scott Galloway is one of the most intelligent voices out there today. Really love this podcast very informative.

    One of the best episodes
Listen to Ed asking Scott what were the worse and best expenses he did in his life. Witty as ever, hilarious as always, and in the end a wonderful meditative one on generosity

    Great Perspective
Scott is a clear thinking pragmatic thinking breath of fresh air. I believe he pretty much gets whats going on out there in the world of us pretty regular folks. He has a good beat on the economy and the economy of life. I will say that his normally sharp intuition is a bit clouded when it comes to his friend Dr. Oz If Oz’s plan for Medicare actually takes hold it will be the end of decent health insurance for seniors. Being forced into Medicare Advantage Plans is pretty much a death sentence.
  • ChrisKap NFLK
    “Dad” Champion
Scott provides a rallying cry for dads that give more than they get and young men looking for direction. I don’t agree with everything Scott says and believes, but I respect his vulnerability, wisdom, and intention, and I deeply enjoy a vast majority of his content. Ed…he’s alright (🤣)
  • Ruben94110
Mostly level headed on-going commentary on what’s happening in the world
If I had a few nits: 1) It’s good to intersperse monologues with dialogues. I particularly liked when Jessica put Scott down on conservative media and he changed his stance on the spot. Keep brining folks who might bring different perspectives and challenge Scott 2) I generally agree with Scott, but think he could tone down rod the rhetoric about campus antisemitism: it is the symptom of a neo marxist ideology that’s infiltrated higher ed and sees everything through the prism of oppressed / oppressor. it is in some ways the ultimate expression of intersectionality and it’s become intolerant of other viewpoints.

    Questions
Ed really does deliver a master class on asking questions that answers provide value to the listeners. Big fan of all of his work.

    Better than Pivot
Jessica Tarlov is more intelligent and secure than Kara. It gets cringy listening to Kara’s proselytizing and insecure banter. Listening to Raging Moderates is a pleasure.

    Love Scott Galloway
Scott Galloway’s podcast is a gem. His sharp insights, no-nonsense philosophy, and straight-up brilliance make every episode a must-listen. He breaks down complex topics with clarity, wit, and a dose of humor. Honestly, he feels like the mentor we all need—guiding us through business, life, and everything in between. Highly recommend!

    Nonsense
We literally just experienced the worst President in the last 40 years. Total inability to think much less lead and he describes Trump as chaos. Ignore this waste of time.

Will say anything for a buck
Scott (not a prof anymore) & his minion will slowly bend narratives and take any point of view. Listen to understand what most listeners think..not to understand what’s their real point of view. Once a month they will utter something useful, listen on 2x or more.
  • Thisisafakenameftw
    Ed is tiresome
Just another nepo baby who had a leg up in life praising M*skrat. Also, Ed — stop conflating social media with social network platforms. When you refer to “social media” you are generally talking about the platform.
  • MCN415
    Mostly Good
Housing Shortage episode was so one-sided and misguided. Blame everything on”nimbys” without talking about the real concerns around development -poor infrastructure and resulting traffic nightmares, lack of open space and environmental concerns, Air BnBs and investment properties. It’s easy to point fingers when it’s not your neighborhood being ruined.
  • Imgonnaloseit2
    One change is needed
Jessica Tarlov is the worst kind of elite liberal and it’s so out of touch and insufferable. I also think you need some of your own beliefs challenged because you’ve become less of a Bernie Bro
  • yamayama_94
    Great pod
Love Scott’s books, and his pod is equally as good. The Raging Moderates segments are as politically objective as can be and a breath of fresh air.
