I found this podcast after discovering Carolina as Ron Burgandy’s better half. As a forty-something man who’s been out of the dating scene for over a decade, I was interested to hear about it from a woman’s perspective. And it was good when it was that. But at some point it became a reality show recap podcast. Rather than sharing their personal experiences and insights with dating and romance, Carolina and Devin spend most of the time talking about the fake lives of the fake people on Bravo. If that’s the podcast they want to do, fine, but then just be honest and say it’s about reality shows.

I’ve been listening for years, and I can’t believe these ladies are going off the air! You two will be missed. Thanks for so many great episodes! Hope to see you back someday.

Full disclosure 40yo straight male with my own podcast, started listening to you guys after I found out that Carolina produces Ron Burgundy podcast and I think that’s pretty brilliant. I think you both are funny, I think you have Insight, and I think that you talk about relationship topics that are more centric to reality shows than to the two of you tease a lot of your personal experiences, but don’t go into detail enough about your own lives. Given the fact that the title of your podcast is true romance, possibly giving the audience more understanding of what that looks like to you and your own lives, as well as having guests also are navigating dating and romance in the current arena, Mike widen the net of your listenership. I don’t want to come off, sounding as if I’m explaining I’ve just noticed over the last several months there have been a great deal of diatribes about how terrible woman are, as well as our inability to have adult relationships or conversations end up, sounding a little bitter and spiteful, as opposed to prognostic or advice, life-giving. If it is in the spirit of comedy, and I completely misread it then I do apologize, if it is genuinely anger that I would recommend a shift in as to not alienate more listeners. Again, I love your show. I think you ladies are very funny and I’ll continue to listen to your show. It was just an honest opinion keep it up y’all are doing great.

Often that I love say they want you to review their podcast… but nothing inspired me to leave one more than a quick sidebar that you haven’t received a review in a long time and like go ahead if you want - I thought it was exaggeration but all that to say, I enjoy the pod. Even Carolina couldn’t ruin it for me.

Love these two. Their self awareness, honesty and not giving an F is a joy. Feels like I’m getting together with my sisters when I listen. They are an inspiration to be yourself. Reading other reviews - just have fun listening. It’s entertainment. Enjoy even if you don’t agree with their opinions. That can make things interesting and a learning opportunity. Can’t wait for the next episode!

Really hitting it. White Lotus analysis is hilarious and insightful. Devin is acerbic in all the right ways, and Carolina is so witty and confident. Makes me laugh when they make each other laugh. Never stop never stopping.

Just started listening and was enjoying the reviews of The White Lotus. Then I get to hear politics and I’m out. Seriously why trash the people that aren’t judging you with your judgmental comments. I won’t be back.

Devin is so effortlessly funny me and my bf are listening to the first recap of The Ultimatum and losing it.

I am a straight man in a blue collar profession. My friends, family, and coworkers would be very surprised that I listen to this show. I heard Devin once on another podcast and she made me laugh so I checked this out. I am glad I did because it reminds me of spending time with my sisters who are also funny people. I am able to relate to absolutely 0% of what these women talk about but I get a kick out of listening to them so I think you should too.

I’ve been listening to your podcast from the beginning, despite the fact that I haven’t watched a reality show since Laguna Beach. I may not know who you’re referencing, but I appreciate your vulnerability and humor on difficult relationship issues. As a person struggling with alcohol use, I’d love to hear more about your experiences and/guests regarding substance use and relationships. I’m also a therapist for individuals diagnosed with opioid use disorders and I’ve come to see how isolating sobriety can be. I think it’s important to discuss the challenges people face in relationships when struggling with substance use because it seems to be a major barrier for many archiving long-term sobriety. Thank you for all you do! You’re inspiring me to continue on my sobriety journey.

I look forward to this podcast every week, it makes me laugh and the topics and stories are so relatable. I am going back and re-listening to early podcasts. These ladies are authentic and stay true to their values. I messaged Devin about an ad that came through locally during their podcast that I know does not align with her and Carolina’s values. Devin is incredible, she addressed and responded. I was so honored and it made me adore them more.

I’ve been listening since day one and this has gotten me through a breakup and really put me in my best mind set for my new relationship. You constantly make me feel understood hearing that other people do the same dumb things as me. Also you got me to start watching the real housewives and I cannot thank you enough for that. Although I did finally suffer through satc so I’d understand your references, worth it but barely! Please do more high brown, mid brow, low brow it’s the best!

I’m a 48 year old married guy with a young daughter. This podcast has done so much to help me understand what my little girl will face as she grows older. Needless to say the two hosts are very funny and insightful.

Why is this called true romance it’s 2 uninteresting woman who complain about something new each week

This podcast was so necessary during the pandemic. Funny and light conversations to keep me sane during such a difficult time.

The first few episodes were really great. But it seems like the episodes are all just disjointed humble brags with the host who has the distinct laugh waiting for everyone to join in and validate her.

Better than all the rest.
