Mavericks & Misfits with Jeff Lyle

With all the mixed signals being sent out about God’s Kingdom, we need a spot to land and a place to live in the faith. Standing in front of Jesus, Pilate asked the epic question, “What is truth?” He wasn’t the last person to wonder. Amidst all the fading trends and fossilized traditions that pass themselves off as Christianity, many Jesus-followers find themselves spiritually homeless, living without a tribe to which they can connect. There has to be a landing spot for mavericks and misfits - a place they can call their home. Jeff Lyle, a self-declared church maverick and ministry misfit, hosts this podcast in order to cut through through all the incomplete, inaccurate and inadequate expression of modern Christianity. In the end, for all mavericks and misfits looking for God’s answers to life, eternity, relationships, culture and theology... home should always be where the truth is.

Jeff and his ministry are a gift to the Church. Rarely can you find a prophet that masters both the Word and work in the Spirit as well. He is a great teacher that brings insight and understanding of Scriptures. The thing I like about Jeff is that his genuine. He is not afraid to stretch you and bring biblical truths that can be challenging.

I look forward to M&M each week. Jeff Lyle is a wonderful teacher, but what makes it so wonderful is he keeps the Bible in CONTEXT. There is no twisting the Scripture to make it fit a narrative/opinion/feeling/culture… He just speaks the Word. And it is life changing! Also, if you have not read his book Figuring It Out As I Go - GO DO THAT NOW! Just listened on Audible and it was also SO good. I know this ministry and podcast will be a blessing to you! Pastor Jeff leads these Ministries in truth, not fancy. 2 Timothy talks about people heaping up teachers to sooth their itchy ears, that wont be found here. In this day and age people who claim to be followers of the Bible are arguing over every little thing. Pentecostals, SDAs, Cessationists or Charismatics. It’s spiritually exhausting to see the case of Christ ruined like this, when in reality we could all be talking about the beautiful things God has given us to uplift the case for a Christ, and exemplify the church. God’s sovereignty will be known, and Jeff is a vital part of The Lord’s authorship of the 21st century. Hopefully one day I can get my family and friends (future and present ones) to realize church isn’t this boring rule following place, but the place that will be truly lifted up come the last hours. THE KINGDOM IS AT HAND!

Spirit and Truth!

This is a much needed Podcast for the modern church. Jeff express his heart and explains one of the biggest divides in the church today, either your a “Word” only church or a “Spirit”, and having experienced both, he talks about the importance of having both operate in the church, just like the earthly Churches did. He pours out his heart and how the Lord have been growing him throughout his whole ministry. It’s a very encouraging podcast and such a good listen. Looking forward to hearing more!!
