This has become my favorite podcast. Jude is a great interviewer and player who lines up great guests. Most other guitar podcasts spend way too much time talking about gear, but Jude and his guests spend a lot of ’ime on how to play, what’s it’s like being a professional musician, and guest back-stories. And then Jude and his guests tear it up with all kinds of virtuosic jamming. I've been looking for other guitar podcasts and no other comes close. Thanks, Jude!

I’ve been loving the show since the beginning. Jude has brought on nearly every guitar hero of mine. He’s introduced me to so many great players. If I could only have one podcast. This would be it.

A thoroughly enjoyable program from start to finish. Jude journalistic chops are as spot on as his guitar’s as the conversations and questions come across relaxed and asked by someone with knowledge of his subject matter. As the title says…this podcast is a standout from the legion out there.

I tried a lot of different guitar podcast and never found one that was very interesting until this one! Jude Gold is awesome and the behind-the-scenes stories along with a lot of discussion about guitars, gear, and playing techniques are so interesting and inspiring. I have discovered so many great guitar players that I had never heard of before and learned a ton about music theory and guitar techniques to try myself. Hopefully Jude will keep this going until he is 95!

This is my favorite podcast! Jude Gold does a fantastic job interviewing and jamming with people on the show. I’ve listened to every episode. I recommend this show to everyone who is even mildly interested in music. Just one criticism. Jude, with peace and love I disagree with you 100% about playing guitar while talking to people. We as guitarists, need to realize that even though we think we can jam and converse with others at the same time we really can’t. If your name is Lee Rittenour and you’re jamming backstage talking to people because those jerks won’t leave you alone before a show, then by all means keep jamming. If you can’t stop playing your guitar while talking to someone then put the thing down. I know this post makes me look like a jerk, but it needs to be said. We can’t pretend this is polite or okay behavior. When you’re having a conversation with a person. put your guitar down and be with them 100% it’s just a better way to be.

This podcast is amazing. Not only are the conversations interesting, sometimes funny...but introduces guitar players and their connections to other artists and groups. I’ve found artists new to me I probably would have missed otherwise. The music is a bonus. Professionally produced podcast and Jude is a natural at making it feel like a conversation rather than an interview.

Host and editor of Guitar Player magazine Jude Gold is not only a knowledgeable interviewer but a pro player as well. His interview play alongs really bring out the best in his subjects and very much enhance the discussions along the way. I’d recommend this podcast to anyone who loves guitar and wants to get deeper than just talk.

As a life long guitar player, it's certainly a gift to hear the long form interviews of so many guitar greats from all genres. Jude Gold is skilled interviewer and always seems to bring out the best in people. Since Jude is a master guitarist himself and clearly loves the guitar, the people he interviews open up about their guitar playing. Love it when Jude jams with his guests. It's clear that he does his homework and makes the effort to learn a few progressions and riffs from the guests' songs. Highly recommend!

I stumbled across this podcast one day and have been hooked ever since. Awesome interviews with some amazing guitar players of all genres. Really cool to learn the ends and outs of some of the best guitars there world has to offer. I would like to see an interview with Dani Rabin from Marbin.

Have listened to every single episode, always a treat. Jude’s calm, friendly matter always gets the best out of his guests, the format where he and the guest jam together is really unique and personal, and it’s introduced me to so many guitar players I’ve lost count. Especially Ben Lacy, good lord that man’s a beast.

This is, by far, my favorite guitar-centric podcast. I have yet to find another that does such an excellent job mixing the highly technical with the supremely casual. Episode after episode comes off like an illuminating conversation w/ some guitarist of note, because that’s exactly what it is. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have listened to all of NGIS, some episodes more than once. I have gone home after listening to an episode and had some real aha moments with my guitar. I have purchased things based on episodes. Thank you for my favorite podcast! +1 for someone interviewing you, you’re a monster player!

Jude’s hangs with some great players are totally enhanced by his ability to play any style needed. Somebody needs to interview Jude himself. I volunteer!

No other guitar related podcast comes close to Jude Golds in my humble opinion. Besides being a great player with chops to spare, he can play with anyone and is a skillful interviewer. Highly recommended!

Dealing with all the crazy personalities and keeping it all about the love of the instrument and music in a casual “2 people with instruments sharing music” vibe. Jude is not just a journalist, he’s an artist and an accomplished sideman. Every person he interviews is his equal, yet he constantly shows excitement for what his guests can do. I love it when he goes “Wait! What was that?” And makes the player show it. Which is what every player listening would do. Kudos Jude! Best music podcast ever!

Just got into this Podcast a few months ago and have since listened to all of them (I’m betting that’s a record) & will continue to do so. It’s really the only thing like this that I know of. Keep it alive brother Jude, till u are 105.... I play guitar a lot for our senior citizens & 95 is limiting man! 😆🎶🎸

If you are a guitar player or a listener this is a great podcast. It's also a good place to discover or rediscover some of the greats. The host is a player too so he speaks the language. Nice!

The Billy Duffy interview was awesome!

I can’t believe I hadn’t stumbled across the show sooner. My first episode is the Billy Duffy interview. I’ve listened to a ton of podcasts over the years and have to say, the intro to this episode is one of the best I’ve ever heard. I absolutely love the way you did it. I have a lot of catching up to do!!!

I feel lucky for having found No Guitar is Safe! Jude is such a classy interviewer, pours out knowledge but always seems geniunely grateful for what he learns from his guests. Better than this, only if he captured and posted in video :) The stories, the jams, the music theory bits, the gear info, the music-life hacks, even the plugs are great! Please never stop, and THANK YOU!

It is such a great idea to interview guitarists with guitars in hand, and the result is usually fantastic. It works because Jude Gold is such a fine player and can do almost any style, so the guests clearly feel comfortable letting loose. Most of the time it is awesome, and you usually learn something to help your own playing.

So refreshing to hear a talented host who comes prepared to interview some of the all time musical greats. Along with the interesting dialogue we get to hear a healthy dose of impromptu music and insight! Thank you!!!

This podcast is like a lifeline. Every episode is a masterpiece. It can be daunting to hear the pros play anything at the drop of a hat, however I always learn something and even more important it inspires me to play. If you play guitar, this podcast is a must. If you don't play guitar, this will make you want to. Jude is a great interviewer and player and this is one of 3 podcasts I will listen too. I hav learned so much from this. The Mike Stern episode is my favorite.

This is a great podcast I found it about a month ago and have listened to at least 4 episodes a week,I drive a lot and it gets me through my commute.i love learning of new guitarist the I haven’t herd of and hearing the stories and learning new things about guitars

Jude interviews and jams with a variety of players in tons of different genres, and I love how they get into each guest's history, playing style, stories, etc. Well worth a listen if you're a guitar player. Sometimes a bit geeky, but that's part of the charm.

I love this show. I’ve been playing guitar for about 16 years now and being able to listen to some of my six string hero’s really inspires me to push harder and practice more. Jude does such a good job of painting a picture of where they are at the time of the interview and he is able to pull out nuggets of gold of each guitar player!

My job requires a lot of time behind the wheel and this podcast helps those miles fly by. Jude does a great job interviewing these awesome players and asking the questions that pique my interest as a player and fan of music. He’s a great player as well! Subscribe! You won’t be disappointed! -Kevin
