Great show, my Friday weekly listen

My favorite show is the Friday show, because I think it covers a little bit everything. Great content, Marcus has a great job, and really great chemistry with the folks on the line. I feel like I learn four or five things that I can apply to my job each episode. Great work.

Too Much Chit Chat

I like the substance of the show, but the icebreaker-y intro stuff is irritating and unnecessary. I don’t need to hear people guess what the fastest lane animal is when the headline says there’s a discussion about Netflix rolling out ads. I may circle back to it at some point, but I’m out for now.

Favorite Marketing Pod

I love this podcast and have been listening for years. I listen to lots of different marketing industry related podcasts and this is the most consistently enjoyable and valuable use of time. It provides a really entertaining and thoughtful roundup of the latest studies and trends in the industry that keeps me up to date without having to dig through tons newsletters and different news sources.

A pretty good show

The daily episodes are deep dives into channels and the weekly listen is a diverse look at the week’s events through the lens of digital media. If you work for a platform, publisher or agency this could be a good addition to your podcatcher.

My Favorite Data-based Podcast

I tune in at least once a week for the weekly listen (love the unpopular opinion and dinner party data, preciously working from somewhere) and occasionally check out the other daily episodes. Loaded with information but seamlessly condensed into a short 30-40 minute listen. I’m a huge fan of the host, Marcus, for his accent, wit, and candor - I don’t mind “hanging out” with him and the other awesome analysts featured on the Podcast.

They make news + numbers fun & valuable!

I’m a new listener to the pod but it has quickly become part of my morning routine. This is a great resource for staying on top of the shifting landscape, more important today than ever before! And they do so in a fun and engaging way that helps to contextualize the data. Lastly, their games are fun and I love the mix of ad-specific data alongside general, every day trivia to breakup the meatier stuff. Well done!

Like the content but the background music

I really like the content of the podcast, but is it really necessary to have the background music on repeat. So extra and it is getting annoying.

Great Info & Still Entertaining

eMarketer is a fantastic information database and their podcast tells the stories well. I’m in media and want to hear about real, useable information. However, they also supplement with thoughtful perspectives and cultural tie-ins. SO HAPPY that you mention exact study names when referencing so I can go look up later. Love you guys and love the interactions, unlike the recently mentioned “media kermudgin” (however you spell it). Love you guys, Joe L.
