Great for the new or student nurse
So fun and informative to listen too, thank you Kati!

    Pharmacist on your radar!
I’ve been binge listening to Kati’s episodes like it’s Netflix! As a hospital pharmacist, who has worked alongside critical care nurses, these episodes have given me a greater appreciation for nurses overall as I have a front row seat to listen to your experiences, understand your viewpoints and develop professionally with you. Great podcast!

First Nursing podcast I regularly listened to
Katie combines science, nursing wisdom, and practical sense. She inserts humor appropriately and is a stern nurse role model at other times.

    So good
I’m a month into my accelerated BSN program and I am not exaggerating I have learned more from this podcast than my nutrition and patho classes combined. I love breaking up studying and going for a walk and listening to this. They don’t teach you a lot of this in school! I love the topics and you are v relatable. Thank you !!!
  • Natatva
    Great topics
Kari, A friend referenced your neuro content that she finds helpful in her work. When I read watched you, I found I was already subscribed to your podcast. Small world! I love your topics and believe there is so much we need to do to help the newest nurses. I’ve just listened to your walking ICU episode- fascinating. I have worked in oncology for many years. Your guest shed light on the patient experience I never would have considered as a nurse outside critical care. I learned so much! Thanks for this learning opportunity. I will email you separately and hope we can connect. Natalie

    Audio and playback issues
I love this podcast! So informative and easily digestible. The only thing is sometimes the audio isn’t the best and certain guests seem to be whispering so I can’t hear very well. Also the past two episodes for some reason won’t load and I can’t finish listening to. Other than that one of my favorite nurse podcasts!

    Comfort & brain food
As a new grad nurse working in a small critical access hospital with no formal grad nurse program and a relatively unstructured orientation, I really appreciate this podcast. I love the mix of informational and emotional support. I find it very grounding and validating.

    Love Love Love
I absolutely love this podcast! This is really the first one that I have every listened to and I am in love with it! Currently I am a second semester nursing student and I just need some other outlets on how to continuously think about nursing and my personal practice. This is a great out let for that and I can’t wait to explore the website. Also, I LOVE The Office references. 🥺♥️

    LPN to RN
Super informative but the one who keeps saying “umm” and will speak clearly then start whispering is irritating but other than that I really appreciate all of the helpful advice!!

    LIFESAVING!!!
I feel like I hit the lottery with this podcast! I have been so nervous about starting as a new-to-acute-care RN on a Neuro PCU, but after bingeing this show I already feel more confident that I can do this (and am even excited). So why 4/5 and not 5/5? Ugh I hate myself BUT hopefully someone will read a 4/5 feedback... it’s because often the audio fades out completely. I’ll be super engaged and then speakers’ voices go nearly mute and since I’m always driving when listening I can’t safely go back and up the volume. I wonder if you’re not speaking directly into the mic when that happens?? I’ve just never heard it on any other podcast and I hate missing even one word. Anyway thank you! You have eased my nerves so so much!

    My only complaint…
Is that I ran out of episodes. I’m gonna need y’all to make more. :)
  • lanimarriott89
    Great topics
I love these topics that are so important to understand when becoming a new nurse. I enjoy the ladies as well, my only thing is it’s so so so so hard to listen because static from the mics or the connection is bad from some output. The sound needs to be fix so that these amazing topics & ladies can be heard clearly, without straining of the static
  • OlyaPolt
    Sound issue
The last two episodes sound is terrible. Please fix that
  • Dee_Fl
    Love this!
I really wish I found this podcast sooner. I haven’t started a hospital position for fear of not being good enough. This really help me realize that I’m not alone. I’m really looking forward in taking that next step.

    So informative!
I found this podcast after searching for ICU podcasts...and I am so glad I did. I love listening to these nurses and their guests. I have been a Med/Surg RN for 7 years and will be starting a Neuro ICU job next week. I’ve already learned a lot from listening and I look forward to more episodes, especially those relating to Neuro (hint hint!). I also love the basic nursing episodes, like how the primary RN needs to take the “business end” of the bedbath deal😅 I may even end up taking the Neuro Wise and Breakthrough ICU courses. Thank you, Kati! Keep up the great work. 👍🏻😷
  • M.k!!!!!!
    Fantastic
I love this conversation soooo much, not just because I’m listening to nurses talking, I am new in this job at the US, kind of newbie but not totally, I’ve had some experience in other country but still very new to every single thing, better say was, your conversation is my me time, over the summer when I was working on backyard, when I was taking care of kitchen......I learned a lot about nursing, and one thing that helped me the most was when Kati said you give yourself a hug and say I’ll be there for you....!! It was a magic word and I was crying for long time just thinking about we should be there for ourselves before others. Thank you for what you do and for the website and all those helpful courses, love you so much and keep it up!!!

    Highly recommended!!
I am a new grad graduated December 2019. Started a job at med surg ICU. I was so Iberians stressed during my orientation. Thanks to Katie, for these wonderful podcasts. I basically listened your podcasts everyday on my way to work. I really learned a lot from you guys, from the expectation of preceptorship, time management to assessment skills... looking forward to the new episodes, pls pls pls have more episodes about patient story’s; I was so impressed about that episode’ the patients we will never forget’ Melissa’s story about making mistakes!!!
  • RRRPan
    Awesome!
How awesome you guys are and your talk. It’s funny yet learning opportunity. Being a bedside nurse for 6 years but then coming to US, I still felt like a new grad., and I struggled to gain my confidence back. But there are always good nurses you can count on. So thank you guys for this motivational podcast. Thanks again!

Thank you for having an episode for us “non-dream job” new grads
I found your podcast when I was finishing up nursing school in 2019. I started listening to give myself resources before I entered the clinical world. When I graduated, the market for new grad positions were fierce and I experienced a lot of rejection. I stopped listening because it became difficult to hear about the acute care nursing experience and to not feel bad about how my experience turned out. About 8 months have passed and I decided that I should spend the time to learn acute care topics even though I work in a SNF. I found your podcast again recently and to see that you have a whole podcast dedicated to those who didn’t land critical care positions was comforting to listen to. Thank you for taking the time to give advice and offer gratification to those who have a different pathway into the hospital! You renewed my ambitions to return to acute care!

    Poor sound quality
Maybe if I could hear everyone I would be able to rate it more fairly. Looks like people have been telling them their sound quality is terrible for a while, and they don’t listen to their audience’s feedback either.
  • EilleC
    LPN in RN school
Love this podcast so much. I learn a tremendous amount in every episode... which I why I get so annoyed when I’m into the discussion and then the sound of the voice fades. Love the content, hate the sound.
  • AnnieManniePants
Great content, needs better sound quality
I love the energy of these 3 nurses. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us! I would just like to have better sound quality 😅
  • TitanFan12
    Nursing Student
This podcast has allowed me to take a break from studying and “dewind” my brain, but still learning! I love the real world applications and the knowledge. It’s great, thanks!
  • akfrenzy
    Thank you!
I’m a new grad nurse about to start my first job in the ICU. I’m nervous and terrified yet excited and grateful to start this journey. This podcast has helped ease so much anxiety as I await the start date of my residency program. Thank you for taking the time to pour into us newbie nurses. Your collective knowledge and expertise into the profession is so insightful and encouraging. You’re making such a difference and I wanted to take the time to say thank you for what you’re doing!

    Advice for nurse moms?
I am a not-so-new nurse and I still love this podcast! I shared your podcast with my cousin who is in nursing school. I just wish I had this resource when I was in school. Any tips for balancing nursing while being a mom? I have two boys 3 and under and I work nights. I feel so inspired listening to you guys promote getting more involved in practice councils, leadership opportunities, etc but sometimes I feel isolated as a night shift nurse and then a mom on top of that. I don't have to luxury of 1. Sleeping whenever I want and 2. leaving the house whenever I want for meetings held during the day. My heart is so invested in nursing but I feel kind of at a standstill as far as progressing my career goes. Katie I hear you mention your family from time to time. How do you balance it all?? Do you ever fall victim of mom guilt when you put more time into your work?

    Newb nurse here
my start date is in a couple weeks and I loved the episode about dealing with patient deaths. I will definitely continue listening to your podcasts in these next couple weeks before i start !

    Great podcast, but...
This is a great podcast with great organized information but the sound quality is so bad that it’s extremely difficult to listen to. It sounds like only one of them has a mic and the rest are sitting across the table from them and you’re straining to hear with your volume all the way up. I’ve seen prior reviews where they’ve gotten the same feedback but nothing has changed.
  • Erinlowryyyyyyyyy
    Great podcast.
I am changing my career from accounting to nursing, and listening to your podcast has calmed a lot of my doubts about this drastic switch in my life. Thank you for holding my confidence and reminding me that, like in accounting with getting your CPA, you don’t have to follow what people think you should do.
  • J8Hon
    Sound issues make listening difficult
Sound is off in some episodes and it is very difficult to hear all the presenters even with volume turned all the way up
  • Crayola89
    Great podcast
This podcast has so much information but in a very easily digestible way. Its great to listen to preshift as a new grad to get your head into that critical/clinical space. I also really appreciate the episode on nurse burnout. Perfect mix of informative, funny, and heartfelt!
  • carlqsteph
    Great! But please speak up!
I love this podcast because I’m a brand new nurse. However, when it’s not just Kati, I have the hardest time hearing everyone. I have to turn my headphones allllll the morning way up and sometimes that doesn’t even work.
  • sarahfread
    😄
I am a new RN and I appreciate all your helpful tips and advice! One thing that is challenging to me is charting because how to chart properly (tips for charting) was not covered in school. Also I would like tips to talking to family or kids about death or dying ( what to say to comfort families). Thank you guys for sharing your experiences!
  • mddelp
    Such an amazing resource!
I have learned so many important things from this podcast that I’ve never heard about in nursing school. I love listening to everything they have to say! Such a quality podcast!
  • future RN219
    Wonderful podcast!
I love listening to this podcast! I appreciate the anecdotal aspect because I love hearing real life stories and how real nurses dealt with situations in their practice. I’ve been looking for a great and informative nursing podcast and I have now found it! Please keep making new content!

    Fresh RN podcasts
I love listening to these podcasts. I am almost done listening to all of them. Everyone who speaks on there is an asset to the healthcare industry and I’m thankful for the time they took to record these podcasts.

    I love it but...
I love this Podcast, is so informative, but I literally can’t listen to the podcast where Elizabeth is featuring, she seem to have a big problem gathering her thoughts, it gives me bad anxiety.
  • guess who batman
    Great Info, Mediocre Delivery
I want to love this podcast. The information is excellent and I take notes during each episode, but it’s difficult to enjoy when Elizabeth is constantly trying to figure out what she wants to say. I value her words, but I wish she was more prepared to speak.

    Poor Quality of Sounds
Hey guys, This is a great podcast, and thank you very much for producing it. I am a nursing student who about to graduate from nursing school, and this podcast has been helping me to know the information, that I need to prepare after I graduate. I want to listen to this podcast everywhere I go and anytime I do anything else, but these podcast has really poor sound quality. Let’s say you guys are not loud enough for me to hear you guys from the shower or while I wash the dishes. To compare with other podcast, you guys inform good contents and I think it would be so much better if you guys can make the sound louder. Thank you.
  • Ceceoh4

  • New PCU nurse 👍🏽
MORE EPISODES! Y’ALL ARE SO HELPFUL!
As a new grad on the IMC floor this information is AMAZING! I have hour long commutes to and from work so this makes my time in the car educational on an applicable level! Thank y’all! Could y’all talk through ekg rhythms, what causes them, and what meds can help fix what arrhythmias?!
  • J.aviles
    Yes !
I love this podcast but they have not posted anything in over a year ! I miss this ! I would Love more material!!! Come back!
  • Ces Avi
    Keep the podcast coming!
I’ve listened to almost all of the topics discussed and it helps me to be more aware of the situations during a shift like how to be more reliable to coworkers/staff in the nursing unit, what to expect during a code/ rapid response team, how to manage myself when being in night shift, how to handle difficult patients etc. Ive also gained knowledge about patients with stroke, some diagnostic procedures etc. this podcast helps me to be better in my nursing career and to be mindful when it comes to patients and staff. I would love to hear more! I enjoy listening to your podcast. Thank you for making this :)

    Profound
Podcast helped me navigate my career not only as a new nurse but as an international nurse working in the US health system. Kati, Melissa and Elizabeth are great hosts. Thank you so much.

So practical for a Medical ICU New grad
I am a MICU new grad RN and find this podcasts just so practical and useful. I absolutely love how open these nurses are and have a plethora of knowledge and experience. The conversations are intriguing and make me feel like I am having a cup of coffee with Melissa & Elizabeth. Love it.

    Great!
Love love love this podcast! I am in my fourth semester of nursing school, aspiring to someday be an ICU nurse and listening to this podcast helps me to feel more confident in my dream haha. But for real though I listen to some of these episodes over and over again. Great practical advice and entertaining as well! Please don’t ever stop making this podcast because it is my favorite one :)
  • Zshakaleen
    Great content, but volume issues
As a nursing student with an hour + commute each way I love putting on this podcast in the car. It feels like hanging out with a group of cool, experienced nurses and getting to learn about aspects of the job that don't come up in school or don't necessarily get to see/ask about during clinicals. I seem to have an issue with the audio where I have to turn the volume WAY up to be able to hear what everyone is saying. With the volume cranked so loud -- I've nearly had a heart attack when the GPS interrupts to give directions or updates on traffic. Keep the episodes coming! Thank you!
  • LifesAParty!!
    Keeping it fresh!
