    Next Step Up
This podcast is the next step up for ultimate Disney fans. I am a WDW local so I am in the parks a lot, and listening to this podcast has completely changed the way I look at things in the park. I LOVE this history episodes because they somehow find backstories and facts that nobody would ever really know. Another great thing is that they extend the podcast beyond WDW and WDL (thanks a lot Kevin I want to travel around the world now just for Disney Parks lol). Their excitement and love for Disney makes this podcast addicting! Thank you guys for all the hard work you put into this podcast! Also so happy they started a Patreon! The extra episodes and interactions are awesome! Yay sad tomato kids!

I LOVE These Two Woke Dopes!
One of my very favorite Disney podcasts in rotation. Witty, lighthearted, but dense with detail and not snoozy. Thanks for all you do! It would only be better if you’d rep any shirt designs to buy- I’m sure many of us would love to support you when walking around the park!

    Best Disney Podcast Out There
TLDR: this podcast is unlike any other Disney podcast out there in the best possible way. I found the show while searching for “imagineering” after reading the imagineering story (the book the Disney+ show is based on) and I’m so glad I did! My favorite part about Disney is the lore. I love going to the parks and knowing the history of the attractions or what used to be there and pointing out little details and fun facts. This podcast does exactly that! Their “listory” episodes include fan favorites and some more obscure parts of the parks both past and present while their history deep dives go into the behind the scenes, never built, and even the history of the company itself but there’s never a dull episode. It is by far the most unique Disney podcast I’ve listened to. I started listening about 4 months ago and have already flew through hundreds of episodes because I just can’t get enough. Thank you Matt and Kevin for creating something so interesting and well researched. Your passion for the subject really shows!

    Positive, Fun, and Informative
What more could I ask for. These guys are great, and they go far deeper than many podcasts yet manage to not get mired in the details.

    Excellent podcast!
Don’t let the weird show name deter you from listening because quite simply, this is the best Disney podcast out there. Super informative but never dry, Matt and Kevin are witty, entertaining, and (most importantly) fun! Their love and knowledge of all things Disney (and pop culture) really shines through in every episode. I’m having a blast going through the back catalog at work.

    Disney History at It’s Best
The Thirty Twenty Eight is Disney history at its best. Matt and Kevin bring unmatched storytelling and research to every episode, diving deep into the parks and company history. Having loved Matt’s previous work, I’d listen to anything he creates, and this podcast only raises the bar.

    The Best Disney Podcast
Having listened to The 3028 since its debut, it’s amazing that the show is better than ever. I’ve learned so much about Disney and adjacent pop culture topics that have a similar vibe. From Matt being a two soup dad to Kevin’s Michael Eisner impression, the show is genuinely hilarious and a source of happiness that makes life better. A question for Matt and Kevin-What is your favorite new movie of 2024?

    The EPCOT of Disney Podcasts
Matt and Kevin are the best. The level of research and the amount of information they bring to the listeners each and every show is truly impressive. No matter if you’re new or casual Disney fan or a seasoned veteran, you are most definitely going to learn a lot while being thoroughly entertained. Two questions for you guys - If you could take anything from one WDW park and move it to another, what would it be? Same question for WDW resorts. Thanks for all you guys do to bring some Disney magic to all of us.

    Mind readers
It’s like Matt and Kevin went inside my head to find the obscure things I’ve always wondered about the Disney parks! Their attention to the history each individual thing that makes Disney so great helps make the time I’m away from the parks much easier. Thanks guys!

Like hanging out with old friends
If you're a Disney (or pop culture) fan, The 3028 is like finding a hidden Mickey in podcast form! Kevin and Matt bring the perfect mix of knowledge, and humor to every episode. From deep dives into Disney history to "listory,” you'll feel like you're hanging out with friends who love Disney as much as you do.
  • Hollzbot
    Regular guys who love Disney
This show is great! Matt and Kevin are not jaded full-time Disney bloggers. They're not constantly trying to make lame, inappropriate jokes. (Can you tell I'm fed up with some other Disney podcasts?) They're just two regular guys who love Disney and put together smart, fun, interesting shows on a regular basis.

    A glorious 5-star review to all podcasts…
…but mostly the Thirty20Eight. Matt and Kevin, you produce the best podcast on Disney topics. I love your varied topics, your humor and lightheartedness, and the preparation you put into each episode. But most of all, I love your relationship with each other, which comes through so clearly in your conversations. You clearly see each other as equal partners and respect what each of you brings to the topic. Thank you for the time you spend preparing great episodes; even when doing “opinion” shows, you develop finite lists that allow the shows to proceed fluidly. I feel I should write some grand closing statement, but Kevin, you have the market cornered on that. So instead, I’ll just end by raising my tiki drink in your honor. Kungaloosh!

    1 star for Kevin
I will give you a 5 star review if you admit that Judy Holiday deserved the Oscar for born yesterday. Love you guys.

These are my kind of people
When I listen to The 3028, I feel like I am hanging out with friends talking about my favorite things. Matt and Kevin are just fun to listen to, with their friendship, occasional debates and disagreements, and ultimately their desire to include everyone in on the fun they are having. I love the knowledge about and passion for Disney history, and, having grown up in KC, I also love when Matt mentions Kansas City Sports and Worlds of Fun. Whether out for a run or driving to work, I look forward to a new 3028 podcast and a good listory.

Talk about fun on a bun!
These fellows are wonderful souls. They are like a delicious Thai curry in that they have a depth of flavor (knowledge) and always make you want to come back for more.

A very glorious 5 Star Review for you.
I can’t you guys how long I have been listening. But, what I can tell you is how much Disney knowledge you have added for me to share with my family. Oh, how I have enjoyed pointing out every weathervane, goat, and explaining Roasty Toastys to them. If you enjoy learning obscure and random facts that you can use to annoy your friends and family this podcast is for you. I appreciate the amount of work and research that goes into every single episode. Keep up the good work. Maybe one day Screen Rant will get a clue.

    I made a mistake.
In October of 23 I started my first big girl job and started listening to podcasts. I found the 3028 and really enjoyed how insightful they were, how they explained Disney history, and how they played off of each other. I grew up going to Disney in the 2000’s and did the college program in 22 so I was surprised to find a show that was able to teach me something about Disney and pop culture that I didn’t know and didn’t know I didn’t know. I made a mistake though, I didn’t follow them. Through the algorithm and try a few other podcasts, I lost the 3028. A few months later I found them again except I learned from my mistake and followed them and started listening to more and more episodes. I am currently listening to every single episode (I’m on 203). These boys have become such an important part of my life now. I had a friend who was killed in a car accident in March which has made me really anxious to drive. Listening to Kevin and Matt makes me feel safe and comforted in a way when I drive. I’m not sure if it’s their relationship with each other, Disney, their friends and family, or their contagious positivity or maybe it’s just the way Kevin says skinned; but these boys have a bit magic that they put in their show. I am so grateful to my guncles (if Kevin can be a 2 beer dad, Matt can be a gay uncle) and all they have provided to me and the community. So don’t make the same mistake I did, and subscribe and let Kevin and Matt make your world just a little more magical like they did mine.

Two woke bros Yacht rocking on a big red boat 😉
Long time listener, first time reviewer. Like many who have shared reviews, I have listened to this podcast on many long runs, walks and grass mowing days. I’ve written countless reviews in my head and finally making the time to actually type it out and share the good word with the masses! If you are into deep dives about Disney history and American pop culture, this podcast is for you. If you appreciate the small details and how pop culture plays a role in shaping our perceptions of reality, this podcast is for you. If you are a nerd looking for fun edutainment (inside joke laughs for days), add Matt and Kevin to your playlist. I’ve been listening to the show since BC (before Covid) and continue to enjoy the spectrum of topics and depth in which these two take each show. Keep up the good work, fellas!

Pure joy when a new episode is released!!
There is no greater joy than when I get a notification that a new episode is out! Always nice to know I am not the only one that gets so excited about these topics. I was recently at Disneyland Paris for the first time and as soon as I saw the goat on Big Thunder I immediately thought of Kevin and Matt! Also, was thrilled to hear them mention the Castle Mystery Tour in Tokyo during the Walkthrough episode! I experienced it at 7 years old and was TERRIFIED and have thought about it for 20+ years. Looking forward to you guys deep diving into that one!
  • Grizzlymom2
    5 stars totally deserved!!!
I have listened to most of the episodes now, and I LOVE this podcast!! The guys both put in a ton of research for every topic and it totally shows in the final product. I have a cast member kiddo, and I binged the listery episodes before I went down to visit WDW after 14 year hiatus - they were fantastic, and even my cast member was impressed (shout out especially the mailbox episode and the one talking about the packing crates in Disney studios)! I have also enjoyed the episodes on the other parks that they have done - my “home park” is Cedar Point, and even though I have studied the history of the park, I still learned some things that I didn’t already know (btw, Kevin- come ride some coasters!!!)- they are super thorough and a delight to listen to. Thanks for all of your hard work, guys, it’s much appreciated!!!

Listening to this show will improve your life
Look folks, I’ve been with this show since 2017 when I first got really into Disney history. I tried about a dozen different shows, but within a few years, only one show made the cut for me — 3028. The Disney content and show format got me hooked. Matt’s midwestern ties (I’m from Iowa) and Kevin’s love for Springsteen (I too am obsessed) reeled me in. Their humor, kindness, and willingness to now go beyond the Disney parks with their content keep me coming back for more. Our entire family of 5 now listens to this show, individually and collectively during roadtrips. Stop wasting your precious and finite time listening to other Disney related podcasts. This is the only one you need.

    Glorious 5 Star review!!
My husband and I LOVE your show. It’s so informative and fun. Even my non verbal special needs daughter enjoys it (especially the intro music that you choose) we listen to you every time we get in the car, sometimes it’s makes us plan impromptu trips. You all are great for our mentality but bad for our wallet. lol we just love you guys.

Corny-copia of puns. A Punderful time!
I’ve been listening to Matt and Kevin for years, and randomly bumped into Matt on Main Street when visiting the parks with my wife and teenagers. My fam and I appreciated the time Matt took to chat with us about the podcast, the parks, the best songs played on Cosmic Rewind, and the Buffalo Bills. 5 stars all around for the amount of effort and energy you 2 put into the show, your research, and making Disney’s cringey puns something we can all laugh about by putting your spin on it. Keep it up! Jay from Saratoga Springs (the town, not the resort)

    A Glorious 5Star review
This is a Glorious 5Star review. People say there’s never been a better review. Sure the show is great and Matt and Kevin have great presentation style and chemistry and excellent content, but this review, it’s Glorious!

    Love Your Obscure Episodes!
Just listened to your episode about Friars Nook. I didn't get the connection between Friars and fryers either...duh!! It's always been such an odd little snack spot but could be so much more with its location right there in Fantasyland. I've always been fascinated by the architecture and details up above. In any case, I love your show.... especially because it starts and ends with wonderful music from nightime entertainment that is no longer there...Illuminations R of Earth and Spectromagic. Loved them both! Thank you for a great podcast.

    From a Matt Parrish stan
February 2009. That is when WEDway Radio recorded their first episode. Since then, Matt has become (at least in my circles) a leading voice in the Disney podcasting community. Whether it’s with his actual brother Nate for WEDway, or his spiritual brother Kevin Quigley for The 3028, Matt is always a joy to hear. There are a lot of things to like about Matt and Kevin, but it’s their chemistry as co-hosts that keep me around. It’s clear that they’re not just business partners - but actual friends who put their heart and souls into Disney histories and listories. That brings me to my second point: who doesn’t love a list? My favorite episodes of other Disney podcasts are when things are listed out, and that’s the name of the game at the 3028. I also just love the evident care that goes into each episode. Instead of a normal, boring theme song, each episode of The 3028 opens with snippets of episode-relevant Disney theme park tunes (most of which I recognize because they’re all on my WDW Spotify playlist). That’s how I know I’m about to experience a show made by the same type of weird, Disney-obsessed adults as me. Plus, just so Kevin doesn’t feel like I’m not giving him enough love, I adore Tiki and love knowing that Disney isn’t the only thing I have in common with these guys. P.S., if you happen to read this on the show, don’t take offense to being called weird. I mean it in the best way possible!

    Fantastic show!
The 3028 is fantastic show. Kevin & Matt clearly research every topic & put a great deal of effort into each episode. They come through as fun, engaging, smart, honest & excited. It feels like you’re hanging out with your very knowledgeable friends each time you listen. I learn something fun & exciting each episode. Keep up the amazing work! Sarah Henderson P.S. Hi Kevin! See you real soon!

    Disney Dedication and Fun!
First, I have to shout out Matt for his support of students in my school district without hesitation. He lent his expertise in podcasting in a moment of need. Thanks, Matt!! The show is a trip down nostalgia lane and insight avenue. Matt and Kevin do there homework, they know there stuff and leave me smiling and educated with every episode. I can’t get enough, keep it coming.

So good I pulled out my old iPad just so I could provide a review
Look, if you just want a weekly theme park news or trip report podcast, this might not be the podcast for you. If, on the other hand, your idea of a great podcast involves detailed culinary treks around Epcot’s many annual festivals, the... again, you’ll be disappointed here. But seriously, if a passionate, scholarly dive into Disney or theme parks and pop culture in general (delivered with none of the dryness you’d normally associate with a scholarly dive into *anything*, then you’ve come to the right place! This obscurely-named podcast (as a young man, Walt Disney lived at 3028 Bellefontaine in Kansas City, MO), pairs Matt Parrish and Kevin Quigley, along with a special guest here and there, digging deep into topics that spark their interests. And that enthusiasm is contagious. Listening to the 3028 feels like just listening in on a conversation between friends. That’s not accidental, and it doesn’t happen without a lot of prep work. But they pull it off so smoothly that you never notice all of their advanced prep. I’m all but certain this is one reason why we don’t get a nw episode every week. The trade-off totally works. I love that Matt and Kevin aren’t distracted by what the other podcasts might be doing in this general space. They stick to what they love, and bring us into their world just a bit while they are at it. They dreamed it, and they did it. - Chris Young

    Great!
Glorious five star review for Kevin and Matt’s show covering the roads less traveled when it comes to interesting and informative Disney parks history and information. Their rapport is excellent, witty and fun and the material is great. We don’t get to go as often as we used to and this show helps keep the curiosity, joy and wonder going.

    Loving it!
I don’t know about much about the history of Disney. I have learned so much already with your show and the personality and energy that the show gives keeps me engaged. I look forward to listening more to past shows and seasons. Also new content as well. I love visiting Disneyland and would love to visit Walt Disney World sometime soon. I loved the Disney movies as a kid. The history of Walt and the magic behind it all makes for an incredible story. Keep doing great work and highly recommend this podcast.
  • JoeZer
    A SECOND JoeZer review????
Just completed episode 304 (Videopolis histo-rama-lamalama-dingdong). As a pretty-much life long WDW guest I had forgotten about the Videopolis East location at Pleasure Island. Thank you for the reminder...as well as what evolutions it morphed through until hitting upon 8-Trax (which was one of three bars/clubs I enjoyed at P.I. -- the other two being Mannequins and Adventurer's Club, natch). Now...as far as promising something "bigger" and "longer" with Season 8 (where the goats are great), you may capture the "size enthusiasts" crowd amongst Disney fans...

    Long overdue review
I’ve been meaning to write a review for awhile! I’ve found the 3028 when I was missing Disney and looking for podcasts to compensate. Since then this has become one of my favorite podcasts, as it combines my love for Disney, other theme parks and the history behind them, so much so that I’ve gone back to listen to most of the old episodes as well. Kevin’s love of one of my favorite theme parks and this weeks episode on Cedar Point definitely solidified their spot as my top podcast!

Stop scrolling, this is what you’re looking for
Ok, 3-2-1 (cue music) Hello and welcome to my review of Screen Rant’s premier Disney Podcast that never was - and always will be. Be prepared to explore an exciting array of Disney topics from general information about the movies and park attractions to a detailed description of the parks’ birdhouses and even a robust discussion of that curious mural in the men’s room at Wilderness Lodge. Or perhaps you are interested in the life and times of Merriweather Adam Pleasure and the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (Kungaloosh!). No doubt you will be endlessly entertained by the witty banter of Matt and Nate … I mean Kevin … including impersonations of all your favorite Disney suits (especially Card Walker and Michael Eisner). You’ll also be treated to pop culture discussions of yacht rock, New England Tiki, cruising, porte cochères, tennis, golf, and western! This podcast is truly a city of choices in a metropolis of fun. Now is the time, now is the best time to reward yourself with the feel-good vibes of these two woke bros. Thanks for reading and see you real soon!

    301 Episode Later
I told myself once I went back and listened to every episode from Day 1 through the most recent I would leave a review, so here I am. LOVE this podcast. As a self-proclaimed Disney nerd, I love the factual and fun take on all things Disney these two talk about. These shows have kept me company on my runs as I’ve trained for numerous RunDisney weekends! As a Boardwalk DVC kid since ‘98, the only opinion I’ve disagreed with is Matt’s take on the Boardwalk pizza window having good pizza. That poor excuse for pizza can’t compare to Via Napoli (I lived in Italy for a bit, so I’m clearly qualified to comment 😉). Keep up the good work and can’t wait to listen to the next 301 episodes!

An absolute joy to listen to
The 3028 not only masters their subjects but presents them in such a way that they are a joy to listen to. Whether their subjects are the birdhouses on Disney properties, cruising or Tiki culture each episode is carefully researched and well written. But, it is the joy and enthusiasm that Matt Parish and Kevin to each episode that will drive you back to this podcast time and time again. If you are a Disney fan this podcast will give you unique details and insights into the mouse’s empire. If you love pop culture this podcast will sate your desires. If you listen more than once you will discover a desire to return again and again to hear Matt and Kevin and even to listen to their evergreen catalog.
  • ODU2K1
Of all the Disney podcasts this is one of them!
No really Thirty20Eight is fantastic! I look forward to listening to Kevin and Matt break down whatever topic is at hand each episode. It feels like I’m sitting at a bar with two friends.

    Fan for Years
Let me begin with an apology for this review...though not for the content, but for the tardiness. Five stars all the way around. I've been a constant listener of the podcast for several years and should have commented earlier. There is a dynamic to the way you guys do this that just works. While coming at your material from different life experiences, varying points of view and idiosynchratic manners of communicating the message, you two combine for a predictably great listen. Even when you steer astray of "Disney material," I end up really connecting with I've heard and learned, thanks in enormous part to the obvious work and research you've both done to put those shows together. I want to encourage you both to keep doing what you're doing and in the way you do it. I do have an idea for the podcast that I'm eager to press upon you. I think a terrific subject of study and conversation would center around how, at Disney World in particular, wildlife management occurs. There was, of course, the rather recent and bizarre incident of the black bear that managed its way into the Magic Kingdom. In some ways, that prompts deeper questions. For a company who occupies over 27,000 acres of heretofore swampy wilderness in central Florida and the almost endless compilation of wildlife species that continue to inhabit that space (deer, raccoons, otters, venomous snakes, bears, cougars, feral hogs, armadillos, lizards, coyotes, bobcats, Burmese pythons and, of course, alligators), I can only image the effort it requires to maintain a balance between a safe and healthy guest experience and a conscience regard for protecting the natural habitat of wildlife. A few examples spring to mind, including the juxtaposition of one former reality in which the waterways seemed to be essentially open for swimming (eg. the wave machine in front of the Polynesian vs. the now pervasive warnings against putting your toes anywhere near water), the apparent absence of sea gulls and mosquitos, and, certainly, how the Disney company is addressing the alligator situation (the tragic and fatal attach at the beach of the Grand Floridian not being easily disregarded). In all the years I've been following Disney podcasts, I have seen or heard this intriguing topic addressed in any meaningful way. The deep dive on this is addressing what/how Disney is doing to tread and manage this delicate balance?

    This show understands me
I recently found this show and I feel like the hosts GET me! I am learning so much about niche and obscure Disney history. A lot of Disney media is either too reverent or they just talk about the same mainstream stuff as everyone else, but this show is funny, lighthearted and informative. The style reminds me of Defunctland, which I mean as a huge compliment!

A Great Listen For Any Disney Fan
I’ve been a listener to The 3028 since day one, and figured 299 episodes in it was finally time to give them a review! Matt and Kevin are great hosts, covering a variety of topics with the kind of enthusiasm that can get a listener invested in almost anything - even The Friar’s Nook! While the show’s main focus has been the parks, they also cover a wide range of other Disney-related topics, and even some other pop culture minutiae as well. RIP Pop America! This is one of the rare podcasts whose episodes regularly get repeat listens from me, and if you’re into Disney Parks (and history, and listory) it probably will for you too.
