Robert ParishPhilosophy as a way of lifeIf you are new to this podcast, be sure to check out the entire series over time. It’s been very helpful to me in sorting out seemingly contradictory values, giving me useful tools to live a better life. This isn’t about “life hacks”, it’s about developing a discipline through practice

whipitoutnowboyWoWBest ever

JJRROMIExcellent!Gracie Massimo for this well thought podcast in miniature! As a child of the military I always knew I was uptight, but I didn’t know that was different from being stoic. Thanks to you and your Great Course, I see the overlap where it exists and see it in myself. I have only one criticism: your speed of talking is a bit hard to follow— but it does make one listen more carefully than perhaps usual, so maybe there is method in that! 😎 Thank you for bringing this Italian wisdom to us!!

Jinxc1Stoic meditationLove this to start my day
-
Sona AbgaryanWorth one star onlyI thought this is a stoicism podcast. Apparently this is a podcast which gives medical advice and treats unvaccinated people as superstitious.
-
fight disinformationExcellent podcastGreat distillations of Stoicism
-
A aspirentStoic MeditationsThis is an excellent podcast. Listening to every episode.
-
DaveG-CLove thisDigestible yet profound bites of philosophy. Small enough to be consumed over your morning coffee, but thought-provoking enough to reflect on all day. Good, sound, actionable meditation.
-
Mckenna LayneBest stoicism podcastMost of the others have pretty insufferable hosts so this is by far my favorite.
-
Coffee&KettlebellsBest Dose of Daily StoicismLeave it to one of the pioneers of bringing back the philosophy to produce an excellent Stoic podcast. No “Broicism” or “$toicism” here; just quality daily bites to start your day on solid footing. Only gripe might be the intro/outro, but I get Massimo does need support the show. If you practice Stoicism, this is your daily must listen.
-
critcrimDGreat way to start the Day!So happy to have found this. I appreciate the morning wisdom.
-
*****123142BravoBravo! You do the only podcast that not only explains Stoic writing but points out fallacious reasoning and bad arguments, all while adhering to the Stoic value of brevity (I am a bad reasoner and have a worse attention span so I love them).
-
akonruksJust the meditation!Cut the intro/outro music, introductions, etc. Put that in the show notes, just broadcast the meditations
-
sledxlDaily wisdomI have always been drawn to stoicism and it is such a delight to have these nuggets brought to me automatically. Training for our brains in bite sized nuggets to start or end the day.
-
Leeway27Great way to start the dayI listen almost daily! I appreciate the bite-size stoic readings, and your voice is so calming. This podcast got me started when I was first interested in stoicism, and I still appreciate it a year or so later.
-
RamSantoyoCore, Sage, ValueNo fancy accoutrement interviews, no catchy themes...just teachings. Sustain this, and recommend adjusting only to fit our environment, not desires.
-
SgstarlingAwesome content but...Awesome content, only flaw (minor!) is his accent many times makes it difficult to understand.
-
IamScavengerLove MassimoThis is great, I just wish you spent more time talking about the topic. Maybe give an additional example that could happen in life, or happened in your life.
-
reallythoughnoPerfect for those who need to self-assessThis podcast is helping my daily routine become a lifestyle change. The hosts voice is calming and helps me relax into my thought processes. The topics also help me better understand where I want to redirect my life, even though they are only a few minutes long, I end up thinking about the topic for hours on end trying to figure out how I actually feel about the topic and of how I am feeling has been influenced by outside sources or my own beliefs. I hope this podcast continues and I intend to become a supporter so that it may continue.
-
StefabroGenuinely has helped keep me on track to improving my lifeIf you find it hard to stay focused on reading or just want some reminder to help you stay on track with stoic teachings, this is your podcast. Honestly this podcast is really for anyone trying to make a positive change in their life. Thank you , Massimo:)
-
Grant_TBBased and appreciatedThe front and end bumpers are too long for me, but this speaks to how the content is good and I would prefer to get straight to it.
-

-
instafootyThanks for a great little podcastI love this concise, brief explanation of stoic texts and concepts. It helps me whenever I listen, and it’s short and sweet. I’m very grateful for it.
-
JFunky85Thank youMy husband and I began our journey as students of stoicism about two years ago. We began by reading the meditations of Marcus Aurelius, and then we discovered this podcast. We have made it a daily habit to listen and reflect on the lessons from Massimo Pigliucci. They are short, sweet, and pointed. Which, for any student of stoicism, allows for information digestion. Thank you for this amazing podcast.
-
mimshowDay starterThis podcast has become a daily necessity.

cs_running_manJust RightI love the daily 'bits of wisdom'. For me, the genius of this podcast is that Massimo makes the reflections practical to our daily lives and still honors the spirit of the original texts, thoughtfully and authentically--all in under 3 minutes. I've recommended this podcast to several friends, and it's one that I gladly support financially. In words often attributed to the Budda, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." -- that works well when all of the past episodes are archived.
-
Podfeemlove itLove the pod. good way to renew the mind regularly
-
Shani JiAn Excellent Start for Your DayPractical, everyday approach to a profound philosophy.
-
Samuel BrowerShort and SweetI start each day by listening to this podcast. I then reflect on the subject matter throughout the day.
-
AMBootzGreat PodcastWas brought here largely because of my current reading of MP’s “How to be a Stoic.” Have listened to many Stoic podcasts. While they are longer meditations and analyses of Stoic writings and concepts, I enjoy MP’s three-minute distillations of quotes—esp when I’m on the bus to work. Keep up the tremendous work, Sir!
-
Tamster1211Concise remindersI get an abundance of Stoic information in a short amount of time. My daughter and I listen to one on our way to school. Good for the head.
-
TheFellerBite-sized wisdomThe best three minutes in podcasting.
-
The MonkerooGreat start to the dayI listen in the morning every weekday. I don’t think it would be fair to call me a stoic, but clearly the Stoics have a lot of wisdom for improving the self, and it’s nice to have something to reflect on before my day starts.
-
willshineUseful and affirming daily meditationsThey help to refocus me on what matters most in life (virtue), while providing relatable insights about how to respond to/navigate challenging situations. Like the new introductory music, too!
-
MathphileChanged my lifeMassimo had done so much to help others live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I learned of him from his book "How to be Stoic" and have read it multiple times. Now I've listened to this podcast and every day he shows another way for me to live better. Highly recommended to everyone.
-
BT VinakaThanksThank you for putting this podcast in the world. The short form helped me get helpful information needed every day, and I genuinely appreciate your efforts.

-
TuadIt works for meLike stoicism in general, this podcast is down to earth and focused on practical guidance that helps to manage life ethically, emotionally and in other way. I like that it gives a brief elucidation of some stoic idea. I often find myself reflecting on the day’s meditation on my morning walks.
