SCH VJohnathan SchwartzWhat a powerful story. I always learn from your podcasts. This was a great lesson on humility.

LGBallou12 steps for skepticsI loved it. There was no show notes. I wanted to read the article from the NYTimes relating to misinformation. Could you post the article?

Fashionisista madiceJust found SoberfulI have done many searches for podcasts about living alcohol free, or support for women alcoholics, and never found this until I bought the book with the same name. I am 20 days sober today and have devoured a lot of “quit lit” both this time and in my previous attempts at stopping. This book and podcast are the first one that really hits all the markers for me as a daily drinker for almost 30 years. I have just started, but can’t wait to listen and dig into their work more.

T-L-M-SQuality and quantityThis established Podcast is a wonderful resource for people who wish to remove alcohol from their lives. There are hundreds of episodes to choose from, but I recommend starting at the beginning and listening to them all. Cheers for Veronica and Chip !

mmb the middle waygreat information love love love the soberful conceptthe latest episode is amazing with Peg O’Conner listening gave me a refreshed perspective and some new material to explore 🌺🥰 Veronica and Chip are the best for long term sobriety folks like me trying to keep it growing 🪷

Capoeirista ChickGreat Topics for Recovering from AnythingI find that trauma is the biggest gateway to addiction, and although the addiction is not always alcohol, we have a lot in common. The hosts are very personable and relatable, so I feel like a part of a team instead of being lectured. I’ve learned a lot about how alcohol affects are society because it’s become so socially accepted and it’s great to be a part of a team who wants to lift each other up. I feel freer listening to these topics, thank you for helping to set me free.

WinRosieIncredibly helpfulI discovered Soberful a few weeks into sobriety. I had been white-knuckling it day by day, feeling as if life was going to be miserable without booze. Veronica & Chip promised that life would not only get better, but that sober living would open up a whole new joyful world for me. They were right. I joined groups at Soberful and worked with Veronica and over two years later I am truly grateful for my sobriety every day. Make a commitment to listen to some of these episodes. It might just change your life.

GG ErikssonAmazing amount of relevant contentChip and Veronica together have so much information and experience in the recovery space. They have an amazing way of sharing it in a judgement free zone based on fact, self experience and compassion. I love the episode about hyper independence among many others. I have also gone to Veronica’s soberful programs. She’s delightful!

WLK-KittyExcellent recovery toolEasy to listen to and enjoy. Great reminder to continue to work on your recovery.

Sacmd41Lovely companion to a sober lifestyleWas sober for 2 years and listened to this on my many walks in the beginning. Started drinking about 5 months ago and found myself gradually (not immediately) falling into the same patterns. I listened to binge pattern dependency episode this morning and recognized myself right away. I appreciate that this Podcast discusses all patterns of alcohol dependency, including abstinence for periods of time that tricks us into thinking we actually don’t have a problem…I’m working my way back to the sober life and it’s not easy. Thanks for this.

fhhxfhbvydJust one thing…I have thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. There’s just one thing that doesn’t feel right: Veronica seems to have some sort of need to ‘push’ the alcohol-free, zero proof drinks. I share Chip’s attitude about this—I don’t see the point. If you are thirsty, there are plenty of things to drink besides a beverage that is mimicking what we have all had a struggle with. What in the world? Why the constant talk about this? Why encourage it? It seems very dangerous. Would you snort fake cocaine? I wonder if Veronica has some financial connection to a non-alcoholic drink manufacturer, which would be disappointing. I just notice that when she’s talking about this and Chip voices his opinion, Veronica seems to get a little uncomfortable, like she knows it’s not really a good idea and she’s not 100% sure about this, but she’s needs to ‘seem’ like it’s okay. Again, this just feels very dangerous for listeners, especially those who are newly sober (that’s not me).

Jul2115Brilliant Dynamic Duo!I am alcohol free (for 6 years) and found myself in a struggle. I have been listening to this podcast in recent months and it has been powerful to uncovering self work I still need to do. I have begun the work now, and it has already made a huge difference. Appreciate you guys immensely.

k8 BAGive it time! Amazing podcastI have to admit that it took me a few listens to recognize how incredible this podcast is. The hosts are personable and informative. I highly recommend for anyone interested in learning more about getting sober and more importantly, staying sober
-
kathysarasotaThey are great, I loved them at first and went back to their first session.I’m not sure they are representing the depth of the depression that one is in when one is still drinking. They both sound happy now and they talk about their recovery and that’s great, but for new people, it’s a bit depressing. It feels very far away, and not attainable.
-
Emmy H.Great Dynamic and InsightI’d recommend this podcast 110% to anyone in recovery or starting to have questions about their substance use! Chip and Veronica are great together and give real solutions. Keep it up, y’all have really helped me and so many others!
-
yogoesExceptional!Pls keep at this! The sexual abuse episode 5/5/21 is perfect example of the exceptional work of Chip and Veronica.

Kate in NYPink cloudYesterday was a S**t day and I’m so happy I found your ‘pink cloud’ episode. You’re both so kind, knowledgeable and funny and this episode got me through this slight slump I’m in. I feel better days and growth are coming. 80 days alcohol free tomorrow

chels838Fantastic and HonestI started my sober journey out of despair, feeling total loss of control, fearful and broken. After day 3 and realizing that another attempt at moderating or changing my drinking was not going to work and I found AAs 12 step program then this podcast. I am on my 48th day of an alcohol free life and say I’m so excited for my future. Personally, I have had enough time with alcohol over the past 20+ years of my life to see how it was taking way more than giving. While I worry about social situations and future endeavors on how to handle things as a non-drinking outlier, I do not miss it at all. I know it was Poison and my body was slowly dying. Thank you Chip and Veronica for this amazing podcast!
-
tayminzAmazing recovery podcastThis podcast has truly enhanced my sobriety and I recommend it to every person I know in recovery! This show has been so helpful and I always feel so much better after listening. Sometimes I forget how horrible my past drinking life was and this podcast always reminds me why I stay sober. It is the perfect meeting when I can’t get to a meeting! Cannot say enough good things about this podcast! Thank you so much Veronica and Chip. ODAAT 💜 sobriety date 5/21/2018

CharlesAtRestSoberful is additive to my recovery.I celebrated a five-year sober anniversary in January, 2020. It was about then I started listening to Soberful. The hosts’ recovery status, openness and clinical experience combine to make their’s one of the better recovery podcasts. I encourage people touched by this problem to give this a listen. They are sharing some hard and essential truths about healthy living. Five stars, easy.
-
Marge321Excellent topics!Love this podcast. They cover so many great topics. I have told friends about Veronica’s desire for a future where being sober is just as acceptable as being gluten-free. Only problem is that Chip’s audio is often very muffled and I have to turn it up loud to hear him. Maybe a better microphone?
-
gsshayshvaGreat contentGreat content!! I do enjoy this podcast but please stop bashing all the ways you don’t like living in America and generalizing a huge population. For instance, not all Americans like to glorify being sleep deprived. I love my sleep and I know plenty of others like me. I’ve heard you say a few other negative things about America too, you may not notice it you have done this quite a few times in other shows. I just hope you’re aware of this.
-

ebaker6479So helpfulThis is such a great podcast. I’ve followed Soberful on FB for a few years as I went from “sober curious” to (mainly) sober and it’s so helpful to keep myself on top of thing, and to continually dig deeper into myself. It’s refreshing just listening to other people who have “been through it all”, know the struggle and pitfalls and just openly give to others.
-
DeardarlinkBlessingsI can’t say enough good things about Veronica and Chip... They are a beam of light in a room filled with darkness. You can sense their sincerity and truly, I feel blessed to have them in my life. I continue to struggle but am getting more and more “aha” moments. VV’s recent 7 day workshop has really resonated with me and have sparked me into the right direction! Thank You❤️

Laura in DenverA helpful touchstoneI was fortunate to discover this podcast early into my sobriety last year. I return again and again for the solid advice, insights, strategies and personal experiences share on every episode. Veronica and Chip are smart, experienced, funny, and so delightfully British, a bonus for this newly sober American Anglophile. Highly recommend to anyone at any stage of evaluating/changing their relationship to alcohol and other addictions including habits of mind.
