lucywightmanDisappointedScience. SCIENCE. Capitalized, as in it’s important to let listeners know this is SO about science. More QueerCom than science. Weak on fact checking, strong on rambling. Misinformation and unsolicited advice coming from some big egos. Maybe they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.
-
bendesignsWell researched and fun! They chose my question to play and inspired their episode topic! Thank you Greg and Mitch! I always appreciate hearing their science-backed, progressive perspectives while they are having a good time.
-
sub martinLove!!!You guys are such good podcast hosts! I love the topics you choose for your podcast episodes, they are so fun and interesting!!! P.S. I love your pie song!

n1(kn4m3!BEST THING EVER. You guys are so funny! My first encounter with you guys was the pi song in math class, and I looked you up and now love all of your channels! You are such an inspiration to me. I want to be a chemist when I grow up, and you have helped fuel that! This podcast is so hilarious and entertaining while being informative. I wouldn’t survive all of those down days or that hard work without you guys because your energy is amazing! Keep up the fabulous work!!!!! 💖💖💖

VjfnjfGood but one problemThere is it’s very fun and entertaining, but there’s one problem example of the first episode they say some curses. But besides that it is really entertaining fun and it will not be like you have to click every five seconds on a new podcast.

Sascha4realToxic poison.Presenting as progressive and tolerant but take every opportunity to be rascist, discriminate and " drag on". Straight white people especially men. The duplicity and hypocracy of these two hosts makes me sick in my ears. It's really a shame because the topics they cover seem interesting. I did my best and got through 5 episodes. Wish I could do more. Toxicity and hate masquerading as tolerance and acceptance. ☠️🫠

GoBlueGirl01Learning and lovingEverything is great, but I especially love when Mitch laughs :)

Hatet3Thanks guys :)This is by far my favorite podcast. I have been hooked since 2019! These episodes are funny and informative, and genuinely help me think about issues/topics from a whole new perspective. The hosts are effortlessly funny and this podcast’s humor and coziness has helped me through hard times when I just need to escape from the world for a little bit :) also as a fellow LGBTQ+ member this podcast frames so many issues in contexts that are relevant to me. Again, thank you guys so much!

JessagayMy favorite podcast right nowI love this podcast! You guys give the perfect amount of information. Super interesting and entertaining while still being easy and light to listen too every morning. I’ve been listening for years, love you guys💗
-
Stacy24How Did It Take Me So Long?!I don’t know how I didn’t know this podcast existed! Came across a YouTube video a couple months ago and have been hooked ever since. I love hearing sciencey stuff broken down, especially by two gays!
-
JacobeleSometimes they will say erroneous thingsEven if you email them telling them what mistake they made & cite yourself, they never take the time to address their prev mistakes in future episodes.

deezzzzzzzzzReview from First Time ListenerJust listened to “Marijuana: what happens when you quit?” Yesterday was my first no-pot-smoking day in 7 years, which prompted me to search “what happens when you quit weed?” Which brought me here! These guys are equal parts f’n hilarious and truly informative. Hearing their journey with marijuana really painted a picture that we’re all experiencing the same thing. Whether we come from the background of Catholic School where we learn that marijuana was created by the devil, or we grew up in public schools where you’re a nerd if you don’t smoke weed; we’ve all found ourselves entranced by its magical effects. Thanks to both of you for the work you put into providing us with information and hardcore belly laughs.

rosegraThis podcast is perfectly imperfect!!I love learning about science topics, but most science podcasts are just too serious and boring for me. This podcast is both educational and entertaining! I love the little side rants and lighthearted arguments they get into. The topics are also interesting and relevant to life right now. You guys are seriously my favorite!
-
Kira9922My favorite podI know you guys are asking for science pod recs, but THIS is the one for me. I love this pod and have listened to it since before Covid: it’s the perfect mix of making me laugh out loud and also coming out of every episode learning some thing new. You guys feel like my friends, I love you y’all and feel so safe and happy in this little pod bubble. and I really appreciate what you put into this podcast every week it’s my favorite one and I never miss an episode. ❤️❤️❤️

135874786388743689ObsessedI have been obsessed with this podcast for almost 2 years now and listen to it religiously. Started listening during my work commute but now listen anytime there’s a new episode. I love the lighthearted banter sprinkled into real facts and real world issues. The perfect combination of knowledge and comedy. The “what did we learn this week” portion is something I really look forward to. Thanks Mitch and Greg (and Ernie) for having such a positive impact on my day. Much love! 🥰🥰
-
davids3nThank you Mitch and Greg!I just want to thank you for making this podcast in case you don’t hear it enough! Your perspectives and style (and arguments lol) make science so much more personal and approachable and fun. Thanks for just being yourselves and sharing this show with us!
-
Deet's teaAwesome!Thank you guys for bringing me to tears from laughter multiple times. I learn so much and have such a great time doing it. Keep on keepin on 💋😁 P.s. other science podcasts that I listen to besides Sidenote : Startalk, Hidden brain, gastropod, shortwave. All very good, startalk is (almost 😉) as fun as Sidenote. P.p.s. Did y’all know we’re in the middle of a solar cycle? Solar maximum will be 2025 so get ready for that 🥵

zxxcb.DisappointedHey guys. I was “expecting” more Science and far less QueerCom. KHF-Albuquerque, NM

Kristian's MusicA staple in my daily driveYou guys are so freakin funny I laugh every time I listen AND I learn so much. This podcast is a definite favorite as I spend most of my day in my car and love to learn something new every time I listen. I feel smarter and happier! Highly recommend.

CindyLou7322SugarListened to your podcast about sugar as well as artificial sweeteners - I’d be interested to have you separate high fructose corn syrup from sugar and see the difference there
-
RchrllThe most accessible science show for meI love how fun this is to listen too! This is exactly how I love to talk, so I feel like I’m literally part of the conversation of my people. You two are hilarious and I’m so happy I can learn so many interesting things without hearing a monotone voice telling me them. Thank you for being you guys!!
-
sosodownfunny and informativeI love this podcast and have been listening to it for a few years now. Mitch and Greg are so funny and entertaining and I always end up talking about the facts and stuff I learn from the show! Keep up the good work boys!
-
GracazFun and Informative! These two crack me up and make all of the content they share accessible and interesting. One of my fave podcasts for sure.
-
11KayRenKeep the show the same!I love your guys’ banter and silly conversation before the actual topic. It’s my favorite show FOR THIS REASON! It’s nice to step away from the seriousness of the world and giggle and your chats. Don’t be like everyone else. Thank you for your fun and knowledgeable content 💛

jimmyp3000Love every minuteI found these guys on YouTube when I was searching for fun science stuff, cause I like to learn stuff when I’m wasting time watching tv. Love the loose convo approach to “the pod”. It’s really like hanging with friends... and I learned during the Pet Peeve episode that Mitch and I share the same “hey why is this trash always in the sink” PP, and our boyfriends hate when we play loudly with our dogs. 😂😂 Anyway, they are AWESOME. They are vegetarian. They love dogs. They laugh, they cry... they drink. They swear then apologize (because they are Canadian 😉). They even respond on Twitter. They are real people. What did we learn this week is my favorite part. So glad they are finally sponsored and now I get awesome discounts on cool stuff 👍🏻👍🏻
-
JCdoodzLove it!This podcast is awesome! It’s informative but also fun! It always puts me in a good mood and I learn something which is pretty cool too!
-
Sebba777Best showBeen listening for several months now. Best show. Greg, Bad bunny always puts me in a good mood too. Proud Puerto Rican so maybe I’m biased 😂

djscratchnpurrMakes me smile, makes me smarterI loooove Greg and Mitch. I think I’d listen to them talk about anything, but the fact that I’m learning as well is just 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
-

MuttaburrasaurusScience made joyful & hilariousThis is one of my fave podcasts in my feed because it’s so joyful and hilarious. I don’t consume a lot of science content and this is an exception. I have basically no social life over this last round of COVID restrictions and listening to this makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends for an hour. SAD rn but true. Also, I’m HERE for all the butt stuff because no one else talks about it. Thank you Mitch and Greg!!!!
-
kenken158My favorite podcastI love this podcast so much. My favorite thing to do is smoke some weed, sit outside, and listen to Mitch and Greg teach me something I didn’t know. Discovering this podcast has brought me so much joy. Ok love you, bye

Hrshykiss99Love it!This podcast brings me so much joy while also learning. Joy and learning…my favorite things!
-
Molly with a Y not IEthis brings joy back into my lifeAre you low in dopamine like me? Okay, give this podcast a listen!! The diversity in topics keeps episodes educational and interesting, and the chaotic humor leaves me giggling to myself and feeling like I’m chatting with my two best friends. Feeling like crying at work? This podcast will stop the stress response and tears the second you hear the jingle. Having a great week? Awesome, here’s something you can channel that energy into to make a positive difference. I tell everyone I know about this podcast (and YouTube) & it’s a highlight of my week listening to a new episode.
-
AireanneSo happy to have found thisI’m a former high school science teacher turned stay-at-home-parent and I love listening to you both. I used to show your videos in lessons when I taught and now I have a way to stay connected to science. It’s hard when you’re a mom to three girls to stay up to date or have any adult conversation and I feel like I’m in the room with you while I listen (or watch on YouTube). Also, when are we gonna get that episode on cuddle aggression? It’s an interesting topic that so many parents don’t know is a concept!
-
JaxloveshorsesHands down the best podcast out there!I’ve been listening to Side Note since 2019 and haven’t missed an episode! Greg and Mitch have such a fun way of delivering information on a wide array of subjects - both science-related and really anything else. I’ve found they can discuss such impactful topics in a sensitive and approachable way, making information accessible to a wide audience and still managing to keep the content engaging and lighthearted. Side Note is an incredibly smart and brilliantly entertaining podcast. Thank you so much Greg and Mitch for never failing to put a smile on my face!
-

TorontoTimSGreat podcast!Hey Mitch and Greg! I’m a huge fan of your various channels and hope you can do some episodes on space stuff like the ISS, space colonization and Space Force. Also it would be amazing to hear you two chatting with Madeline Sofia from NPRs shortwave science podcast, I think it would be super interesting to hear my favorite science communicators nerding out together. Shortwave did a whole podcast on sea cucumber anuses haha which seems like it could be a good jumping off point for your interview. Keep up the amazing work guys, it’s always a dose of sunshine listening to your new episodes.
-
Fly water lilyThank you!!You are the best!
-
randallarollaHistory ChannelLove love love you two and everything you do. Just wanted to leave a little note about a History Channel podcast called History This Week. All of their programming should be like the podcast. In fact, on their most recent episode, the host acknowledged some info the channel and its website got wrong. I think you should check it out. Take care! Randall in Chicago.
