Great show with in depth info
Marvin does a great job bringing interesting guides, tiers and anglers on to share their knowledge. There’s not a lot of fluff or time wasting here - just great, topical, unique information that is hard to find if you’re not in the regions covered regularly. Highly recommended.

I was recently interviewed by Marvin, the host, and I have nothing but compliments. He was kind, professional and prompt! He is an incredibly polite man who makes conversation flow effortlessly with thoughtful questions and a positive energy. As a long time listener I really enjoy his interviews and learning more about the outdoors from his guests. Can’t say enough good things! Be sure to check out his many episodes - I’m sure you’ll enjoy them!

Loved the podcast with Altar Fly Fishing
Thank you for bringing the Altar mission to your audience. Altar and Eric Camfield are doing great work and it was wonderful to hear the story on your show. Great interview!

A welcome interlude in my week!
I so much enjoy this podcast, partly because it is relatively brief and to the point with each conversation, but mostly because I travel for fishing up and down the Appalachian region and enjoy getting to know the different personalities and fly shops I might encounter along the way. It’s also great to hear what’s happening in the different subregions and how the current season is progressing. It seems that everyone Marvin interviews is primarily interested in helping folks to have a better fishing experience, which is much appreciated!

High quality and value for fly fishing industry
I specifically appreciate Marvin’s “cut to the chase” style where he brings industry experts in and gets value fairly quickly for the audience. About the only podcast I listen to all the way through. Keep it up!

Like the news for everything fishing on the east coast!
This podcast, and The Articulate Fly in all other media sources has a good spread of useful content. The regular interval of fishing reports in various areas is indispensable with the ability to turn back the clock and listen to reports from years past in order to better plan for what is to happen. If you live near or fish frequently in the southern Appalachians in particular, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not having this podcast in your regular listening rotation.

    Highly resourceful and informative!
The Articulate Fly podcast is such a great resource to have before heading out on the water! Naturally, living in NC, the podcast is beneficial when needing water/fishing reports for the waters I fish, but the other content is great to listen to while grinding away at work. I’ve recommended this podcast to many friends, and they too have become fans. Thanks, Marvin! - Dan

    The best - thanks!
Novice fly fisher here, from northern OH, long time fisherman but headed to the dark side this past year. Marvin is top notch. He curates a community. I learn a lot with each of his podcasts. I like the regional feel since I am in NC - VA and NC podcasts transport me to the mountains. I also like the bigger scene info as well - PA, out west, companies, history, etc. Thanks and tight lines!
