Coach Vass always talks about great topics that can be easily used at every level, with great guests. Can’t miss podcast for me!

Coach Vass and his guests go into incredible detail about all aspects of defense. Talking about all fronts, all coverage families and bridging the gap of what the top defenses in the country do. They get into great detail and explain incredibly well the "why" and "how" of what makes them successful on defense. Also can help you figure out what you need to do to use the same scheme or techniques fit for you. Get your pen or device ready to take lots of notes.

I am new to coaching, so a lot of the content is over my head, but overall a very informative podcast for anyone. My only issue is the length of some of the episodes.

But it is available to us anyway. Thanks. Managing 11 people is a challenge. Defensive football is no different and this series explores techniques, tactics and strategies for these purposes. There is a take away here for anyone interested in the human side of coaching anything along with the particulars of football theories and practices.

First off I will say Vass has great guests. That’s about all I can say that’s positive. Vass spends more time talking about his experience and his life then he does interviewing his guests. I subscribed to this to hear Coach K (Texas DC) talk about his scheme and defensive theology. Instead I listened to the interviewer talk about himself the whole time. I could feel and hear the frustration from Coach K being forced to listen to a guy explain his defense to him. Then Vass would is that right? Coach K would say yes then Vass would go right back into talking about whatever. At one point he was literally talking about all the questions he had lined up, all the people you talk to to get info, and all the film he watched to be prepared for the interview. If I could break this down to percentages I would say it is 45% Vass talking 5% interviewer talking, 45% Vass talking about absolutely nothing anyone listening would care about. It seems Vass is just really arrogant and wants to show how much he knows. To be fair maybe he is like a kid with a puppy who wants so badly for it to be safe he ends up killing it by wrapping it in bubble wrap? Either way it’s disappointing and I won’t be back. If I had to guess I would bet his coach’s won’t be back for another “interview”.

Podcast has great guests. Unfortunately, Vass talks more than the person he is interviewing. Tries to show how smart he is. Ruins the entire podcast.

Stumbled across the interview with Bud Foster and it was absolutely spectacular.

Coach Vass has put together the most phenomenal and advanced defensive podcast. It’s serves so many purposes. From his defensive talks with legends like Wade Phillips, Bud Foster, and Dean Pees. Also great conversation with some of college and high school football best and brightest coaches. They discuss a variety of defensive topics and solutions. I have always enjoyed Coach Vass approach of “teach a man to fish” to show you how and why he comes up with his solutions and answers on defense rather than just give you a answer. I can’t wait to see how much this podcast grows in 2021 and years to come.

What Coach Vass has created is a culture and a network to grow coaches and make them better coaches and men. Coach and his guests give us something to think about and take back to make our programs and kids more successful. The lessons derived and relationships made from this podcast show why this is such a powerful tool. The stories told by the guests also are phenomenal and pull back the curtain to some of the best programs in America.

This podcast has been an incredible resource for myself and so many other coaches trying to grow and develop. Coach Vass centers all of his conversations around creating content that is specific to supporting coaches and advancing the game!

Coach Vass is best in the business man. I love this podcast. I just started caoching and honestly half of this goes over my head so I listen like 5 times. I've learned so much. A+++
