Connor and Dylan are great hosts! They ask their guests thoughtful, informed questions and do a lot of research on them before they come on the show. They’re very funny and always have good interactions with their guests and with each other. Strongly recommend to any broadway fan!

Dylan and Connor are fantastic hosts - charming and funny but not overbearing; they never try to outshine their guests. They attract both top names and rising theater stars, and have a deep well of knowledge and easygoing manner that quickly puts their guests at a ease — a true skill that comes naturally to them. Week after week I’m elated that I listened, even when I wasn’t sure going in whether I’d be interested in that week’s guest. Nowhere else will you get such insightful, informative, engaging conversations with the stars of New York theater.

I get so giddy about each podcast release each week! Connor and Dylan are so knowledgeable about Theatre and the industry and ask alll the right questions, making perfect interviews/episodes each week!

I wasn’t a big podcast person, until I started listening to Drama Pod. It feels like I’m chatting with friends in the room about theater, a passion of mine, and it’s so natural and easy-going, Connor and Dylan make it feel like theater is medicine for all to enjoy. They stay true to their podcast formula and inspirations, while really making the most of their time with their guests. It’s a mini recap of a guests’ repertoire along with the fun in’s and outs of shows they’ve worked on or are currently starring in. And the twin-talk episodes just allow you into the lives of Connor and Dylan even more—like a quick catchup with your besties. This is my go to pod, and I recommend this to all theater lovers out there. You’ll find ways to laugh, cry, and learn something new in each episode.

As a lover of all things musical theatre AND also being a twin, I can’t get enough of this podcast. You can instantly feel their love of Broadway and their sibling bond work seamlessly as they talk to their guests. You can’t stop at one episode, once you’re in you’re hooked and you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I haven’t found an episode that I haven’t enjoyed! Dylan and Connor always have fun stories and amazing guests. This podcast has been great in quarantine to keep up what is going on in my favorite Broadway performers lives. I love hearing the “Ring Of Keys” moments. I read Fun Home for a book discussion last semester for college, and the reference makes it even better.

Dylan and Connor have truly mastered the art of making you feel like you are sitting on the couch swapping stories with friends. Their podcast breaks down the common barriers of theatre interviews. You’ll get to hear why stars fell in love with theatre, career highlights, respectfully spilled tea and a dash of pop culture. I cannot thank these two enough for bringing such joy to the theatre community while we are temporarily without the live shows that we love.

Drama with Connor & Dylan MacDowell is hands-down my favorite theatre podcast. The beauty of Drama is that you don’t have to be a theatre aficionado to enjoy it. That’s because through each conversation they tap into what we’re all searching for right now, inspiration. Sometimes I’m shocked to learn that Connor and Dylan are often speaking with these guests for the first time. Their poise, natural humor, and relatability make every unique conversation memorable. It’s also apparent that they genuinely care what their guests have to say. I can’t wait for Broadway to reopen just so I can see some of their guests in new or revival productions. Until then, I’m confident that Drama is the best substitute for the stage.

Update review: These guys have only gotten better. I loved their episode with Robyn especially. Again, I’m not a huge theatre fan, but they’re making me one! A great podcast for those who want to know more about all that is Broadway. However, it isn’t too niche for those who aren’t intimately involved in the day-to-day world of Broadway. Strikes the perfect balance! It also is so dang fun! Can’t wait for my Wednesday listens.

LOVED The Bogglement episode with Celia Rose Gooding. Connor and Dylan’s inquisitive conversational tone and thoughtful questions made it feel like you were in the green room with friends. Celia is a freaking star and was a joy to get to learn more about.

Drama is inspiring, informative, and so so fun! The hosts are very natural and do a great job of facilitating an interesting and rich conversation that never feels forced.
