The New World Pictures Podcast

40

The New World Pictures Podcast is dedicated to every movie released by New World Pictures.  We talk about the things we loved and the things we hated along with the detailed history of each film's history and production.Founded by the infamous Roger Corman, New World Pictures was responsible for the greatest genre and exploitation films of the 1970's and 1980's.  Remember all those movies that lived proudly in the Action, Horror, Comedy and Sci-Fi isles of the video store?  Titles like Death Race 2000, Hellraiser, Heathers and Piranha.  They were all made by New World Pictures. In addition to talking about the films themselves, we talk with the Writers, Producers and Directors who worked with New World Pictures.

    Just What the Doctor Ordered!
I love this podcast! Highly recommended it! Hilarious, fun, and entertaining! Heck, I’d even throw in educational. I’m learning lots about all kinds of random/whacky things, not only about New World, but the film industry in general. You don’t have to know the movies they review to enjoy this podcast. It’s the perfect thing to listen to while commuting, doing chores, working in the yard, or tuning out your loved ones (shhh! don’t tell!) My favorite part about this show (there’s a lot to choose from) is the camaraderie and fun banter between the hosts. Ryan, Erica, and Mark have excellent chemistry and are a joy to listen to! Fire it up! You’ll love it!

    Fantastic and Fun
This podcast covers every movie from New World Pictures and the hosts are hilarious but what is the true test is that this podcast has had me watching movies before the podcast to enjoy it even more. Eagerly anticipating the movie event Steamin’!

Funny & Informative Exploration of B-Movies
The folks at the New World Pictures Podcast really know their stuff! Working their way through the filmography of New World Pictures, the company founded by the legendary Roger Corman, they do so with energy, wit and knowledge. A great exploration of a classic American b-movie catalog!

Such a fun and funny show. Full of strange stories, entertaining guests and just the right amount of organized madness. Highly recommend even if you haven’t seen all these movies!

    An Entertaining and Informative Podcast
I dig this podcast. While the movies they review are Grade B this podcast is Grade A all the way. Funny and informative. They also have great guests for interviews.Easy, conversational style like your drinking some brews with buddies talking B movie fun. Looking forward to a Saint Jack podcast.

    A Diamond in the “RUFF”
I was into these guys and gal before anyone. Asked me to be their manager. I said “being a manager ain’t no job for a man.” With that said, there are a lot of film podcasts out there, but the New World Podcast really is out of this world. Let Ryan, Erica and Marc take you on a ride around the “red planet” as they dissect both pre and post Corman New World cinematic oddities that will make you kind, and, make you rewind.

    Irreverent And Fun
Let’s be honest: New World Pictures wasn’t exactly pumping out classic cinema. From the Corman years to 80’s gems like House and Soul Man, there’s a lot to pick apart here. Ryan, Erica and Marc aren’t just here to make fun, there’s a genuine love for cult and exploitation movies too. A really fun listen if you rented a lot of questionable movies from your local video store in the 80’s and 90’s.

    Good fun!
New World Podcast is a joy to listen to. It’s silly, nostalgic, and surprisingly well researched. Mostly though, it’s just good ‘ol fashioned funny.
