    Great Hobby Talk
This is a very enjoyable podcast about the war game hobby and adjacent topics. There are amazing guests with lots of great insights and opinions. The hosts are super engaging, relatable, and funny (but don’t tell them I said they’re funny). I really do feel like I’m sitting in an armchair next to them.

    Professional and hobby gaming.
The podcast cover numerous subjects for both professional gamers, and games for the hobbyist gamer. They have a very good selection of game designers on the podcast.

    Entertaining wargame discussion
Writing reviews is not my forte, but wargaming is such a niche hobby that I thought I’d add my thoughts. I’ve listened to the Dragoons for about six months, including a number of back episodes. The discussions have a nice range of focus. While some participants have preferences, there isn’t any bashing of a particular publisher, designer, or type of game. It’s a polished presentation, and a fun way to spend some time.

    Doing The Good Work
A practitioner viewpoint of the wargaming hobby willing to get their hands dirty to confront conflicting viewpoints inside the hobby. Sometimes a bit rough and tumble in its delivery, they are a barometer for what’s going on in a number of wargaming topics which intersect the professional and the hobbyists sides of the community.

    My Favorite Wargaming Podcast
A great mixture of hobby and professional wargaming that is neatly handled by the Dragoon’s. The topics explored and banter is honest, open, and extremely useful to any level of wargamer. Helpful for Young, “Middle”, and Old Guard wargamers. Their website is not to be missed either.

    Engaging and Entertaining
As a retired US Army (Regular Army) Colonel ( Field Artillery followed by Medical Corps Physician) and a Wargames x 40 yrs, I find each episode holds my attention and eagerly await future episodes!

An Essential Podcast for Wargaming Enthusiasts and Professionals
The podcast for the Armchair Dragoon’s, “Mentioned in Dispatches” is an important podcast for wargaming hobbyists and professionals. A podcast season heavily covers games of interest to hobbyists, but there are usually a few very important excursions into the professional sector or to discuss relevant issues for the wargaming industry and hobby writ large. A great example is the podcast on essential wargaming books, the interview on Caffrey’s On Wargaming, and a thought provoking discussion of how wargaming treats controversial issues. Glad to see it on iTunes!
