One of the best actual play podcasts out there
The show has a nice combination of high production quality and great chemistry between the hosts, and their choice of setting doesn’t hurt.

    Truly well done
This actual play ttrpg podcast checks all the boxes for me. It really works for long form storytelling, it has a colorful cast of fun characters, it’s technically well done, high quality audio recording and production.

    Absolutely Outstanding Potcast
I love this podcast, the cast is amazing and really get into their characters. Fantastic story telling with great, easy to understand gameplay mechanics. I have to admit, I was late to the Party. I discovered them well after they started. I quickly became addicted and before I knew it, caught up to the most current episode. To my pleasant surprise, they will continue their Star Wars story soon (the reason I found them and started listening). The Fallout campaign has been enjoyable but I am a big Star Wars fan, in fact I picked up all the Fantasy Flight books and began running a campaign for my wife and friends. Congratulations to the cast for producing a phenomenal podcast that is the highlight of my commute. Your fan, Dan

Railroading, Forced Drama, and Good audio
Let's start with the good parts: -Audio quality is excellent. You'll never have to deal with condensor mics or room noise. -Music is used well, though they sometimes linger on the music too long without any dialogue. -They are respectful of the Fallout setting and make good use of it. Unfortunately, there's plenty of bad. -Most episodes open with a prewritten flashback, and they are bad. They're badly written, and they have the worst kind of ham-fisted, forced attempts at drama. It's like they're screaming "FEEL THE PATHOS". It doesn't work. This also happens during gameplay, especially in the early episodes, when the players try to amplify the drama, but it falls flat. Emotional stakes must be slowly earned over time. -There are some weird word choices from time to time that show that these people are not accustomed to speaking for an audience. That's understandable, since English is a second language for some of them. This isn't a live show, though. They can correct the misspoken or misused word by simply rerecording the line. The audience doesn't have to know they flubbed it. -The story is super linear. If the GM wants the players to encounter a danger, their successful rolls won't stop it from happening. An NPC will screw up to make sure it happens. Some folks don't mind this. Personally I prefer a story in which the players have more choices that matter. -They don't tell us the die rolls! They can clearly all see them at the table, but we have to infer from their reactions what happened, and sometimes that is difficult. I can appreciate not wanting to focus too much on mechanics, but this is an actual-play podcast. You're playing the game. Let us hear the game. -Terrible pre-game banter. If you're not capable of Glass Cannon Podcast-level pre-game banter, just get into the game! This is another problem that arises due to their awkward conversational and speaking abilities. If you really want to listen to a Fallout actual-play podcast, this is the best one I've found. You could do worse, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

    Top knot players!
What pleasure to listen to this fantastic group of players. Their exciting, creative, overall engrossing storytelling, accompanied by solid sound editing and voice work makes you feel like you’re both at the table with them, and smack dab in the middle of an in game mission. Whatever world you find these players working in it is well worth a listen and a follow! Thank you

    Amazing
Just found this show and I’m absolutely loving it! If you want fun and good hearted TTRPG goodness, look no father.

    Excellent variety
I really like that you take on different systems. Would be really cool to see Fallout continue and maybe a round of Dune or one of Modiphius other 2d20 games like Achtung Cthulhu. Definitely Dune though. Will continue to be a listener.

    Great Show
I loved the first episode! I find the Fallout world to be a world worth exploring and Alex an a story teller does an amazing job painting the picture to bring the Fallout World to life… also love the Star Wars storyline also! Keep it up guys!

Great addition to the fallout universe
Great podcast, love what I’ve seen of the gaming system and the opportunity to tell new stories in the fallout universe.

    Maniacs
It was so wild seeing what this group did with elements from the Star Wars universe. Now that they’re moving onto the Fallout universe, I feel like things are about to get even crazier!

    Great times! In space!!!

    Potential Overload!!!
This podcast is starting off with a very well known franchise and is KILLING IT!!! Not knowing every single name of this detailed universe does not hold anyone back from jumping in and enjoying the storytelling and EXTREMELY talented cast who knocks the improv out of the galatic park every single time!!! Simply cannot not express the amount of effort that has gone into these episodes, from voice mods to background noise. This is a podcast to keep an eye out for... and ear ~.o Keep up the work!!!!

    Kriffing amazing
Every time I listen to this podcast it makes me want to go and rewatch all of the Star Wars movies. The MC/GM does an amazing job of setting the stage for the listener. The editing feels like it was done by a professional in a Hollywood studio, and the actors’ story telling captivates the audience and really draws you into the scene. I’m so glad that I stumbled onto this podcast!

    Amazing from the beginning
With most actual play ttrpg podcasts I listen to it takes a little while for the story to get going or for the players to get used to each other's characters, but in this one it starts off incredible with none of the usual bumps most other podcasts have to get over, and only gets better from there. I could not recommend this podcast more.

    Love this show
I have been listening since the first episode and I love this show. Great cast, wonderful Game Master and interesting storyline. Loved the Final Fantasy game and looking forward to the Fallout game!

    Now THIS is Podcasting!
**Edit 1 year in!** - Be still, my Force-struck heart! This production keeps rattling along like the Millenium Falcon. Or crew of loveable rogues (Ian, Jamie, and Alex) will stop at nothing to defeat the Empire... of dull podcasts! EXCELLENT voice work, foley, audio production, and editing. Seriously, when Beegax and L.O. are galavanting around the galaxy and that SW-inspired music hits just right in the background, it's good enough to make a grown bothan cry. Not to be downplayed, the cast of the 'cast got their start in the cursed year 2020, but not only overcame the challenges associated with that, but they have always used their platform to bring awareness and promote good. It really makes a difference when you know you can listen in with a clear conscience and feel seen and included at the same time. *Bonus review: Because apparently making an absolute unit of a Star Wars adventure wasn't enough, check out RtC's short-arc Final Fantasy VII, and upcoming Fallout RPG adventures. Full of heart and a straight up mastery of making tabletop games work to tell a story, these audio masterpieces will have your whole family gathered around the radio and waiting for next week's installment. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Amazing quality, and excellent work from the experienced cast and crew. This show stands head & shoulders above other big name podcasts. Respect the Crit gives a good look into the guts of the TTRPG system vehicle, but always stays driven by the story. I'm not even a huge Star Wars fan but it wasn't hard to get into their setting. Seriously my new favorite game/drama podcast, and I can't wait for the new episode!

Best FFG Star Wars Actual Play
I’ve tried a number of different actual plays for FFG’s Star Wars system, and this is the only one that has stuck. The sound quality is superb, and the emphasis on story building is some of the finest of all the actual plays from numerous systems and settings I’ve listened to over the years.

    Amazing! Inspiring!
This may be my favorite podcast of all time. Definitely my favorite Tabletop RPG podcast. The Star Wars role playing system is fueling my 43 year-old love of Star Wars like nothing in the past, to the point of now running a campaign with my five daughters (including my 8 year old Ewok assassin). Few things have brought us closer together. This podcast really inspires the kind of GM I want to be - I can only hope to run a game with the kindness & fun of Ian. Thanks so much for your devotion to quality, your dedication to important issues, and just for who you all are! PS I also LOVE Fallout and can’t wait to hear how that campaign goes.

    High Quality Show!
Okay, so I liked this page on Facebook AGES ago, just to show support for the amazing humans who create the show. But I'll be honest. I did not expect this show to still be here. I expected it to podfade like so many others before it. So when I found that I had a little extra time to listen to something different last weekend, I decided to check this show out. SO glad I finally did! I intended to just check out an episode or two, but I've now binged the entire show and I'm two episodes away from being caught up! The quality is light years beyond what I expected. From the vocal effects, to the sometimes beautiful, sometimes exciting, always fitting music, to the pitch-perfect sound effects, the production quality is impeccable. The cast is tiny: two players and one GM. But it still manages to work to create a compelling and exciting story. I'd love for them to add at least one or two more cast members just to create a bit more of that classic Star Wars ensemble cast feel. But I understand the more people that become a part of the show, the harder it becomes to stay on a schedule. Plus chemistry is something that can't be calculated. So they would have to choose very carefully. But I'd love it if they could add a couple more voices, even just as guest cast. (My only criticism is that this tight group of friends often makes references to video games as a form of short-hand. But it's done in such a way that even on the rare occasion when I actually DO know the game they're referring to, I have no way of cracking the code of their specific reference. So those moments of the show are completely lost to me.) The storyline draws heavily in classic Star Wars lore, but it is still EASILY accessible to anyone new to the franchise. There are easter eggs galore for classic fans, but you really don't have to know ANYthing about Star Wars to have a great time with this show! I'm so hooked! And I'm really looking forward to the next episode!

    Live the story
I love the story and their ability to play it out in an interesting way. My only complaint is shoveled down politics in the beginning and middle of every episode. Story: 5/5

Incredible Star Wars actual-play, kudos to this team!!!
Respect the Crit totally surprised me, exceeded all my expectations, and was truly a surprise find for me this year! Chemistry of this group is absolutely awesome. I really appreciate actual-plays that are truly wanting to tell a legit STORY, and I so appreciated that this group really leans into their fully realized characters (fleshed out and 3-dimentional) for an immersive experience combining dramatic storytelling, high-octane action, political intrigue, and very funny banter throughout. The roleplaying and acting is awesome, and as other reviewers have said, the sound design is A+ and knocks it out of the park, really making this show come fully alive. Can't wait to hear more, this is such a talented group!

A great time for old fans and newcomers alike!
I first heard about this podcast from listening to the very talented cast work on @dungeonsandrandomnesspodcast. I was very excited being a fan of Star Wars so I thought I’d check them out. I was hooked after episode one! Incredible talent, excellent editing and an all around fantastic roll playing experience. They inspired me to pick up a copy of the beginners game and start a campaign with my wife! Quality show! I look forward to a new episode every two weeks!

    Thoughts
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure I would stick with the podcast at first, mostly because I don’t understand the rules of the game they are playing. But two episodes in and I was hooked. Nowadays getting a new episode from this podcast is reminiscent of getting a new episode of the Mandalorian, and I’m just as excited each time it drops. Also I apparently need to learn a new game system now, I blame you for that Ian.

    Update- my favorite podcast
I don’t think I have enjoyed the first 2 episodes of any show as much. The future is very bright for this group. I also am having fun learning a new system from the podcast. It feels like these must be very experienced podcasters! As this has continued it has gotten better and better. The pandemic has not slowed this free down and they have shot with light speed to be top of my favorites list.

Long ago in a galaxy far far away
The quality of this podcast is amazing. Ranging from voice modulation when a character is wearing a helmet, to the amazing voice jobs of the characters, and the sound effects from what is occurring in the story. This podcast feels perfectly Star Wars. A very cinematically described adventure constantly going up and down like a roller coaster as the characters narrowly escape their threats, as seen on TV. I look forward to everything that they continue to make, and the further developed story.

    Always a good listen
Good to see you guys in another podcast! This one is just as amazing as your inclusion within Dungeons and Randomness. (Especially Ark 1) Keep up the good work and thank you for the many many hours of great entertainment.

    Quality review ....
Old guy here. Not a gamer. The game technicals are not familiar to me, lost on me. Through episode 9, the character development is excellent; the sound effects are superb; the player interaction is enjoyable to listen to; the spontaneity is tight and helps propel the action forward, holding my interest at least. Very professionally done, from credits to set-up for the next episode.

Entertaining with movie quality audio fix and editing
This podcast is highly entertaining and the quality of the audio fx, editing, and story telling rivals high production sci-fi movies. Well done and highly recommend

    Immersive, inclusive, entertaining!
This podcast hits everything for me! Great audio, high production value, exciting and engrossing story, and the host & players have fun personalities. In a sea of rpg podcasts, this is worth a listen and sticking with. Wether you are a fan of Star Wars, RPGs, audio drama, or just quality programming, there is sure to be something here for you to enjoy!

Fantastic roleplay in a podcast far, far away
Natural voice talent in the GM and players, interesting characters that make you want to keep listening, and a table environment that make you feel like you were sitting there playing right along with them.

    Respect The Crit
I’m not a RPG player but I am thoroughly enjoying this podcast. The audio quality, sound effects and music are great! The players are creative and having a good time. I can follow the storyline without knowing the mechanics of the game. It reminds me of the old radio shows where the listener had to use one’s imagination, which for me is fun and creative. Keep up the great work!

The best Star Wars thing recently!
The production value is just crazy. You'd be a fool not to give it a try.

    Ok, A Boomer Review
Yes, I’m old and indoctrinated into the Original. I don’t enjoy the new series (except for Rogue One - loved it!) I listened on recommendation and am favoriting that friend’s future reviews. The production is awesome with original music and sound effects that blend seamlessly with the action and interplay of characters. The synergy in this cast is amazing and my Inner Gamer (long dormant under work stress and...life) longs for a Group. If I were a Dug...Four Thumbs Up!!!!!

    Amazing! Keep this podcast!!
Wether you’re into Star Wars, tabletop rpgs, or just good storytelling, this is a podcast to stick with. Great audio quality, production, pacing, and a talented cast that are invested and having fun. I like how they are exploring new worlds, new concepts, and it’s even helpful to learning a new game system. Love it!

    Top Quality Entertainment!
As a casual Star Wars fan, I am highly enjoying this as much as I think a devoted fan would. Great for anyone who wants a spectacular story and role play driven adventure. Cast is amazing and quick witted. I also love how scenes are set by Ian with a film director’s perspective of what we the audience sees—really helps immerse me. Highly recommended for any fan of Star Wars, Roleplay, actual play podcasts, etc. You guys are killing it! Only request—As someone who has never played or listened to this particular game system, I would love to listen to the GM and/or cast presenting a brief overview of how the game mechanics work? Maybe as a short bonus episode?

Finished listening to the first two episodes and am really impressed how quickly this has taken off. The story is focused and fast moving, the role play is spot on, and the excellent audio quality, sound effects and extra effort really pay off. Easily a 5 star rating and looking forward to many more episodes from this top notch group.
