I’m a huge fan of the Mirage Studios TMNT comics, and these guys have some rad discussions and interviews that are worth checking out as you read the Mirage run for the first or fiftieth time! Great stuff!

Great podcast, been listening whenever I can the last few weeks. These guys rock!

The main host constantly interrupts the co-host. It’s annoying as heck. The Co-host begins to make a point, and the host interrupts, an continues with his own point. I get they’re likely on a delay but it’s a simple fix. Apologize, then ask the co-host to continue. It’s distracting as heck.

Great podcast for TMNT fans!

I've been a turtles fan since the colored graphic novel sby First came into the local bookstore. This was a few years after I got into comics, but it was through the TMNT comics that I fell in love with them. I wanted to get back into them again after I found some hard to find TMNT comics and started on my hunt for the perfect TMNT podcast. Alas this is the one! One of the things that are most important in podcasts is actually liking the voices and they also need to sound good (technical stuff). They are nerds, but not obnoxious anti-social ones that don't deliver the fun aspect of turtles. So thank you for making such a great podcast for the fans!!

I’ve recently discovered this show and started from the beginning. I’m currently up to episode 38. I own and have read just about every single Turtles comic from every series, so it’s been fun to revisit the Mirage issues and to hear Kevin and Shawn’s thoughts on them. I do have 2 minor complaints about the show, however. 1, is when they constantly bring up the fact that the Nickelodeon cartoon adapts issues/storylines from the comics, but they fail to mention that the 2003 show usually did it first (and usually better). I know it’s just a lack of awareness on their parts, but still as a fan it kind of annoys me. And 2, Kevin’s inability to properly pronounce names can be pretty frustrating. Laird should be pronounced “lay-rd”, and not “lee-rd”. Utrom should be pronounced “u-trom”, and not “u-trum”. There are a few other cases of name mispronunciation, but the one that hurts my brain the most is how he pronounces Rick Veitch. I honestly am not entirely sure how his last name is properly pronounced, but I’m positive it is not pronounced “vee-tick”. I would accept “vee-ight”, or even “vee-itch”, but “vee-tick” is just absurd. There was even an episode in which Shawn said “vee-ight”, and Kevin continued with “vee-tick”. I’m sure these sound like rather stupid complaints but I can’t help it if they bother me. But like I said in the beginning, overall it’s a fun show and I otherwise appreciate the work they do.

Love hearing these guys discuss comics and what was going on in the world when they came out. I’m currently in season 2. It just gets better and better!

This show is a gloriously good time! I get a kick out of their Turtle discussion and the historical context in which they put every issue they discuss. If you have ANY love for the TMNT at all, you will adore these guys. It’s truly a must listen.
