When this podcast is good, it’s great. But when you “shrink your hobby sea,” you put yourself in a box. The friday interviews used to be my favorite part of this show. But it’s become stale. Generic Manning collector #132, generic Manning collector #133, generic Colts collector #56, drakes pc aka the least interesting man in the hobby interview #45, generic manning collector #134, wwe gellman interview #33, generic colts collector #57 and on and on. The host has done a good job selling the whole “shrink the hobby sea” thing. But from a content standpoint, maybe consider expanding your topic sea. If he had more of an open mind and was willing to learn about areas of cards that - gasp - don’t appeal to him personally but appeal to - gasp - other people (imagine wanting to make other people feel welcome), this pod could be so much better. This pod gets a lot of slack because of the longevity and people genuinely liking the host as a person. But this reviewer finds it boring and stale. Cue the “well dont listen, then” response. Good idea ✌️

I listen to a lot of sports card podcasts. This is the only one that makes me feel good about my decision to collect the people in my PC. This podcast helps me stay excited about the hobby.

Perfect podcast for a card collector! Great variety in topics. Brett always keeps the main thing THE MAIN THING. He understands what collecting is all about, and always brings it back to that. Anyone can appreciate that!

Brett always brings the energy and the passion. Each week you get two episodes. Usually the Weds episode is a dose of education/motivation, while Friday’s episode features an interview with a collector/hobbyist. It’s a great format, with an even better host. Most episodes have staying power so even if you don’t catch them live they are relevant days or weeks later. Most hobby talk revolves around football, wrestling or basketball cards, but a lot of the content is relevant to just about anyone who collects cardboard.

Really glad I found this podcast. Each episode is like a class in collecting sports cards. Learning from Brett and his guests has really accelerated my learning. Highly reccomend this podcast. Thanks for the great and informative content!

Brett is amazing / a great host. The only criticism I would have is all the collectors that come on the hobby hustle all seeem like they brag about how well they did the last year because they collect lebron / Luka/ mahomes / Jordan/ Kobe. Would be hear from a collector who collects a second tier player or a collector that lost a ton off of speculating on a young guy that didn’t work out !

Has a great attitude, talks about all kinds of cards. Seems to be knowledgeable about the sports he covers. He also talks about all aspects of the hobby as well. Good for collectors and “investors”. My only complaint is that he uses the word “like” a lot, sometimes 2-3 times in one sentence. Otherwise, everything else about his show is great. He has indirectly inspired me to focus my efforts recently. 5 stars

Everyone loves Brett and I’ll tell you why. He is seriously one of the most positive and optimistic people in the hobby. I don’t collect all the same things he does but I listen to every episode. Keep doing your thing, Brett!
