    Very fun actual play podcast
Despite GN Andy’s general aversion to non CoC rules (he should have used the intended rules for his Trail of Cthulhu game) he’s a wonderful and humorous GM who leads a rotating group of highly experienced and entertaining players.

Grizzly Peaks Radio: Where Laughs Meet Chills
Grizzly Peaks Radio isn't your typical actual play podcast—it's like hanging out with your goofy friends in a spooky Lovecraftian world. There are some hilarious improv moments, especially when Andy is forced to RP flirting. Speaking of Andy, he’s an incredibly dedicated GM with a knack for balancing the serious crunchy number stuff with laugh-out-loud moments. The production quality is also top-notch, with excellent editing and sound quality. If you're into RPGs, love a good laugh mixed with some suspense, and want to experience a real actual play that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Grizzly Peaks Radio is a must-listen.

    Great show, authentic feel
Andy as a GM and his friends on this show will give you a high quality actual play experience. He’s the type of GM you’d want to play a horror game with in that he brings humor, terror and flexibility to his show with his players. He’s got great quality in what he does but without a radio drama feel only. He does voices, he acts and he’s lucky to have fantastic players who can act and get into his masterful games. The show gives you an accurate feeling of what an “actual play” is. Not only is there serious acting and focus on character development but hilarious jokes, a sense of fun and his groups on here feel like friends playing. The GM and the players on this show clearly are passionate about history and let the adventures go in interesting directions. I’ve been GMing for 30 years so it’s rare I feel like I’ve not only gotten to learn Call of Cthulhu the RPG better but how to game better in general. I feel like Andy and his talented crew have given me a much better sense of how to do my own style better and how to use the structure of CoC better. How many people are skilled at being funny and yet deathly scary? He does both with great skill like a good horror campaign should. His dedication to improv and giving players space to develop characters and go where the story and dice say has enhanced my long time hobby in new ways. I’ve learned how to more seamlessly make my games more collaborative listening to him. The Berlin series he did turned into a work of Art and yet flowed like a great campaign would too. The show does a great job of making great theatre but not forgetting it’s doing that in an RPG with friends to have fun.

    Entertaining podcast!
For someone who really likes the Call of Cthulhu setting, but doesn’t have time to run or play in a campaign regularly, this is a great serving of enjoyment almost as good as playing myself. Andy creates an immersive world and I find myself following along with the characters as raptly as any TV show or audio book. Highly recommended.

    Great GM, fun players
Always a fun listen, Andy’s a great GM and he runs a variety of different scenarios, each with their own flavor. Loads of classic Call of Cthulhu and Pulp Cthulhu action, but also some enjoyable forays into other systems like Dungeon Crawl Classics and Tales from the Loop. Great camaraderie with a huge stable of regular players, fun improv moments, and good production values.

    So FUN
Love the energy of GM Andy and the camaraderie of the PCs. As a non-gamer, this inspires me to maybe try one day! I followed the Blackwater Creek saga for a first foray, and felt generally creeped out and wonderfully invested in how the story played out. Keep up the good work! Update: I am Sofina shoveling meatballs. 🍝

    Great Keeper!
Just listened to the Grizzly Peaks playthrough of Berlin: The Wicked City's "The Devil Eats Flies." Really enjoyable actual play, interesting characters. Especially admired the way the keeper improvised with the players: knows the rules cold but keeps it fast and fun. I learned a lot about how to run a game from listening.

    Excellent Work
I just discovered this wonderful podcast and am now fiendishly making my way through its back catalog. I stumbled across it looking for actual-plays of David Larkins' amazing Call of Cthulhu sourcebook, Berlin: the Wicked City, and was instantly hooked. The GM and players are engaging, intelligent, and funny, and all do a great job breathing life into well-thought-out, intriguing characters (and NPCs). I admire the self-possessed, unhurried GM'ing style here, reacting well in the moment, improv-style, to the PCs' repartee and creative shenanigans. I entirely disagree with the reviewer here criticizing an alleged excess of humor and "lack of tension." The GM and players here are clearly having a great time, but nothing in any way detracts from the excitement and tension of the adventures themselves. On the contrary, the post-production sound effects and music, together with great GM'ing make every episode a great combination of excitement, horror thrill, and humor. Half the fun of Call of Cthulhu is watching characters go mad in the face of grizzly (no pun intended) horrors, and that is accordingly one of the draws of an actual-play CoC podcast like this. These episodes are completely absorbing and highly entertaining. They've transformed my commuting and cardio from drudgery to joy. Check 'em out.

    Lacking tension
I like the players but the GM does not create a lot of tension, often treating what are supposed to be sinister characters and situations as comedic caricatures, horror is about tension and release with comedy, not non-stop comedy.

Entertaining actual play with a great GM, good-natured players who are very good sports for all kinds of madness and mayhem, and good production value. One of my favorite game-related podcasts..

    Fast becoming my favorite podcast
I was not aware of expedition to the grizzly peaks before finding this offshoot highlighting campaigns they've run. These are all great scenarios with some of the best podcast hosts guesting as p.c's. If you are a fan of the genre you will enjoy this podcast!
