While this podcast is interesting and well researched, the host does not sound human at all. In addition to so many names being mispronounced- well known names that the average person has heard pronounced hundreds of times, there are so many basic words being mispronounced, it really sounds like they’re being spit out by a computer. Also please stop doing “voices,” (Bill Murray, or whatever random person he feels the need to imitate) It’s super cringy and makes those parts unlistenable. All and all, this podcast isn’t terrible. The movies and Christmasy things covered are great, I just wish the host would speak like a person.

Robert does a ton of research and presents a fantastic deep dive into his topic every episode.

Robert puts tons of time and research into the topics, and it shows. If you loved christmas as a kid, chances are one of your favorite christmas specials is talked about on this show! a must listen for me!

Thank you for your movie reviews! I saw Santa Claus: The Movie in the movie theater in early December 1985. I was 24 with no children at the time. The theater was packed with parents & their small children. As the movie progressed, I felt that the movie was not appropriate for very young children. Many were upset bc they thought Claus & the Mrs had died in the sleigh. Later, BZ used a couple curse words. I love the movie, but wished it stayed mainly in the fantasy realm instead of 1980s NYC which was very crime ridden at that time. Again, great job! Santa Mark

Behind The Bells Podcast provides an incredible amount of insight into some of my favorite holiday movies. I recently listened to the episode covering Home Alone, and my jaw hit the floor at each juicy detail. I had no idea all of the ups and downs that went into making the film. I also enjoy the background music and how it moves the show along, creating a light and jolly feel throughout. I highly recommend taking a listen if you’ve ever been curious about the behind the scenes moments from your favorite holiday classics.

It’s a pretty well done in-depth podcast. He does get some facts wrong I’ve noticed, but I’m sure most of the facts are correct.
