    Outdated approach
Focuses on regaining your “authoritarian” role as a parent. Episode titled “how to get your child to respect you” and “25 things to say to your kids” have too much to do with an externally validating approach to gaining self-esteem and little to do with a child developing their own desire to be confident. Telling a child “I’m proud of you” instead of asking a child how something made them feel suggests kids look outward instead of looking inward to find their worth. Two stars because there are a few factually accurate psychological explanations, regarding Why Kids Lie for example.
