Chatabix

Comedians Joe Wilkinson & David Earl chat utter drivel to each other 3 days a week. They natter to celebrities and deep dive into guests with interesting lives (as theirs is so boring). Occasionally they plan a surprise for each other to pep it up a bit. David loves hearing about behind the scenes stuff from TV shows and writing jingles. Joe likes adventuring and is obsessed with the podcast charts. Sometimes they'll embark on a day out podding together just so they can get out of the house. It's a brilliantly chaotic podcast which occasionally covers regular topics like TV Reviews, Snooker, Canal boating and Music.

    Lovely
Listening to these lads is like a warm blanket. So cozy. I hope they never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever stop doing this pod. I would be sad.

    These are my boys.
Not a huge podcast listener, but when I do, these are the boys I listen to. Very easy-going, enjoyable, at times hilarious listen to just relax your mind and have a laugh. Love the pub jokes. Love the special guests, but most of all I just enjoy the general banter between these two comedy legends. Crunch crunch from the USA.

So funny! Pub jokes had me crying
Joe and David are the best - it’s refreshing to hear two buddies just being funny and brutally honest.

    Every Episode Makes Me Laugh
At first glance a wonderful journey as two comedians/actors/writers pick at each other’s insecurities. But it’s so much more: celeb guests from the worlds of comedy, film/TV and music, plus specialist guests from all walks of life. A unique blend of laughter, insight and much needed respite from the outside world.

    My kind of pod
There is something about this podcast that keeps me coming back. In an age where “everyone has a podcast”, this is a refreshing departure from the overly-polished celebrity podcast. It’s rough around the edges. Often I have no idea who the guests are — I live in North America — if you’re not feeling an episode, just move on to the next. The good episodes more than make up for the not-so-good ones.

    Lovely bit of business
As a Brit living in the US, this is a wonderful slice of all that is good about British comedy. I feel that I’m listening in on a conversation with two mates down at the pub, with the occasional celebrity guest stopping by for a chat. Never missed an episode. Keep up the good work chaps. Crunch Crunch.

I love Chatabix! Recently found it and have been binging it ever since. Just got Joe’s book for Christmas! Love you two!! Keep laughing!

Just a couple of gorgeous guys
They'll often be chatting about things that you know nothing about, or really nothing much at all, but their company is strangely addictive and oddly comforting, as are the jingles. Baby girl.

    “I’M SO TIRED”
Really wanted to love it. HUGE fan of Joe Wilkinson. But each episode is literally: “Is the audio working?” Followed by “I’m so tired.” A lot of giggling, dead air silence, random sighs, “I hate my job.” Then repeat endlessly. No preparation, no direction. Why do they bother? They don’t even seem to enjoy making it. :(

Banter w/ no context, Audio Quality terrible
I came and stayed for quite a while for the banter… which I loved, despite the lack of context explained. They regularly have guests and make no effort to explain who they are. Audio quality has never improved much… which is annoying if you’re using ear buds. But the final straw was all the recent episodes in which they spent half the time taking in coded language about something secret going on in Joe’s life. Do not bother with the Patreon membership. Waste of time.

    My favorite podcast
Even when David and Joe think they’re boring, they’re hilarious. Love the give and take they have. Sometimes I’m on David’s side, sometimes I’m on Joe’s. It’s always fun. I enjoy hearing about their current projects and obsessions. The fact that they do it every morning, even when they don’t want to, makes it even better. Come for the bants, stay for the audio issues. It’s a wild ride.

    Beautiful mess
Every day is a new adventure, who knows what can happen in the next moment. David and Joe lovingly share their messy feelings and thoughts in real time, with seemingly no editing. I hope it stays this way forever. Also, the weatherman is a very sexy listen.

    Awesome
Great podcast, It’s 2 best friends that chat each morning. Joe and David are great by themselves but are amazing together. David has an infectious laugh and Joe’s obsession with “Happy Girl” makes it the highlight of my day.

    Horrible podcast.
This is one of the worst podcasts in the world. They don’t know what they are talking about when they talk about something, but they usually don’t actually talk about anything. It’s unprofessional, it’s poorly made, they hosts are both jokes. I wouldn’t suggest this podcast to my worst enemy. However, like a bad girlfriend, I’m hooked. 5 out of 5 stars.

    David’s alright.
David’s alright but Joe Wilkinson may be one of the greatest people to ever live. We all are lucky to be able to listen to him every Monday-Friday. Thank you Joe for just being you. P.S. I will be expecting my check post haste

Love the pod. Many are saying there are audio issues with the June 17 episode, but I didn’t even notice them.

    tapping the fishbowl
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to truly ‘be’ English, this podcast is for you. topics range from: being passive/aggressive whilst masquerading as sarcasm, to: self sabotage at the expense of listeners.. which in itself creates the catch22 the hosts claim not to have the answer for. meta? perhaps. this podcast could actually be put on as two-hander play, titled ‘no,no - that’s fine’ and it’d be in the running for an Olivier. Highly recommended!

    Organic morning fun
Two of the world’s great comic minds try to figure out how to channel their genius in to something listenable and the results are hilarious.

    Great banter.
It’s a great way to start the day, listening to these two chatting about everything and anything that pops in their heads. Now if they would just release a Honk the Mole t-shirt maybe people would get why I keep “honking” to myself and giggling like a child. 😆

    So funny
These guys crack me up. It’s fun being a fly on the wall while these two buddies break each other’s stones.
