Mads09511111Very one-sidedI love Ellen, and never imagined I’d give a low review for any of her work, but there’s no denying how disappointing the podcast has been. I don’t doubt Ellen’s sincerity in attempting to make the conversations as non-biased and equal as possible but unfortunately it falls short in application. I think this is for a few reasons: 1. Everyone has biases regardless of each individual’s ability to be as unbiased as possible. Given this, Ellen is more knowledgeable about the experts that subscribe to her beliefs and therefore has no problem “finding” the best of the best on her side of the debate. 2. It’s common public knowledge where Ellen stands on many of the issues in her debates (veganism, pro life, monogamy, etc), therefore when she attempts to get those of equal stature to debate alongside the experts on her side, they’re not interested. Therefore, she has to find those that are interested, which inevitably makes the debate a landslide for her side. It’s really frustrating to witness such poor representations for “the other side”. Perfect example being Plant-based vs Carnivore. Simon Hill vs Dr. Robert Kiltz. The obvious choice against Simon Hill was Dr. Paul Saladino and yes Ellen did try to get him to come on but was unsuccessful… therefore ending up with Dr. Robert Kiltz who was such an embarrassment. Other examples include Allie Stuckey vs Desmond Fambrini and Ellen and Andrew vs their friends Amelia and Matt. They could’ve had an excellent debate with Amanda Bucci and John Romaniello for example instead (who I’m sure would’ve said yes and are so eloquently spoken). Again, I’m sure this is not the intent but it is the unfortunate reality. It seems very clear to me Ellen wants the podcast to be a place of learning and growth and not a place of confirming/compounding biases. So I send this review in hopes of change. A rematch with Amanda Bucci and John Romaniello on monogamy vs non monogamy would be a phenomenal start.

Mcooperrn2018Respectful & CourageousIn a world where we don't have respectful, fact-based disagreements, Ellen’s podcast is an absolute light in the darkness. So grateful for her courageous and kind approach to tough topics and her ability to bring people together in a way that encourages thoughtful conversation. 10/10 recommend!

RoansLove love love!!!Ellen's podcast is amazing! I especially love her debates. Such fascinating and educating conversations. Thanks for doing this Ellen!

baroness4teaWas Jesus VeganSacrifice of animals has to do with needing to make amends to God before Christ. I don’t think that has anything to do about being vegan. I am thinking about a story I heard when a child about instructing fishermen where to throw there nets in order to get the most fish or in the feeding of five thousand. Clearly, if he were against eating meat, he wouldn’t be involved in these acts. These were my first thoughts on this matter.
-
vegandisnerd10/10! Ellen’s content is just the best!I love that Ellen tackles these hot button topics in a respectful and peaceful way for all involved. This is a great example of how conversations (even if you don’t agree) should be handled.

hannahwalksAn amazing podcast!Ellen is my queen!! I love the way she asks hard questions and is curious about other people’s perspective on polarizing topics. You’ll learn something new in every episode weather it be information in general or understanding someone else’s side on an issue you’ve made your own mind up about. Highly recommend giving it a listen.

lightofleeannNothing Else Like This Pod. Top Fave!I’ve followed Ellen for a long time. She is truly an intelligent and inspiring woman. Ellen holds strong views and is true to her own values but is excellent at opening the door to hear opposing viewpoints. The way she communicates and has respectful, thought-provoking conversations is something that is missing in today’s society of polarizing and harsh group-think. I value the subjects Ellen talks about and always look forward to expanding my mind or perspective on things.
-
RldortonMy favorite podcast!Absolutely love how informative Ellen’s episodes are! I love the opposing views episodes! I also love that she films them so you can see body language and facial expressions. I think that’s such an important part of conversation. Thank you for providing such an amazing podcast! xoxo - Rachel

Emilyrae207Thank you Ellen!Ellen, I have been watching your YouTube channel since 2016 (I was 15 years old) and fell in love with you and your beautiful family ever since. You have been a role model for me in my early teenage years and inspired me to go fully vegan when I was about 17. I am now expecting my first baby, this coming December, and can’t stop watching/listening to all your podcast episodes and YouTube videos on parenting, pregnancy, birth, health, etc. On a side note, I recently bought your birth course and love it. It has so much information to help me have a healthy pregnancy and the birth experience I have dreamed of. 100/10 recommend to anyone reading this! Your podcast has been such an inspiration and had opened my mind to so many different topics I never knew I was interested in. I love how you are not afraid to invite people of different opinions/ ideologies to your podcast to have true honest conversation. Our world needs more of that very thing. I cannot thank you enough for all of the wonderful content you provide, you are changing the world! Emily

GracerjjSo good!!I absolutely love the Ellen Fisher podcast. She brings incredible people to the table to discuss a wide variety of topics that anyone will find helpful, informative and entertaining. She released two new episodes today for season 2, and I’ve already listened to both. These conversations are important and the speakers have done a wonderful job in explaining their beliefs, and Ellen has done a great job in moderating these discussions. I love you Ellen, and thank you for holding space for these conversations!

emahegKnow it allThe episode on a plant based diet for fertility and pregnancy was interesting but it’s really quite annoying that the guests will say that the science is completely decided or there are no studies showing this or that. While I agree that a plant-based diet is important, they bend over backwards to prove their own point rather than being open minded about there being many different routes to health. The Mediterranean diet that they advocate absolutely includes meat, and absolutely includes fish. In fact fish is central to a Mediterranean diet; the name of a *sea* is in the name. Go ahead and present your position but do you not coerce people into thinking there is one right way and it’s absolutely clear what that is. It’s not. See Lily Nichol’s Real Food for Pregnancy. I don’t fully subscribe to her position either but it goes to show you that there are multiple ways to approach this. *Finally: the research is not decided.* None of it. It’s all up for question. It is far too ethically questionable for us to study pregnancy thoroughly for there to be *decided* research. We simply cannot have definitive data right now so don’t talk like we do.

IzszszLove EllenWhat I find so important about debate podcasts isn’t that you change someone’s mind but that you can understand the other side and why they believe the way they do, even if you still don’t agree. This humanizes the people you disagree with and I feel it helps bring people together. Major props to you for doing that.
-
Christinew1559LoveAndrew on the podcast was amazing. It’s nice to hear some think the way I do. Refreshing
-
MadyyoIt makes you think!I’ve been following Ellen for years now and I have to say that her biggest impact is to make me think about things I would have never considered otherwise. I feel particularly inspired by her thoughtfulness around parenting and veganism.
-
lindsaybeth23I Love EllenI love Ellen and all the topics she talks about! Very important and interesting topics to listen to!
-
hannahbevieAdds so much value to my dayI love this podcast, the topics Ellen chooses and the people she interviews are always relevant, thought provoking, and interesting. I have learned so much and been exposed to differing opinions that I normally wouldn't hear in the mainstream media. I love the care in which she approaches difficult topics and the openness she has to listen to different voices. I feel like Ellen is respectful of her listeners time and packs loads of value into each episode instead of filling it with vapid or unhelpful chatter like many podcasts tend to do. 10/10

Kakiexo14My go to podcastInitially found Ellen on Yt, eventually following her over to her socials & now here. Love the authentic person she is as a individual. I love the many diverse content & topics she comes up with, her guest are always informative & bring a lot of knowledge to the table. Def have learned a lot from her & her guest on the podcast. Not to mention the way she lives so holistic, clean & peaceful with her family off of her land is amazing. I CANNOT complain about anything.
-
hadashabSo good!I’ve been following Ellen and her family on YouTube for a couple years now and love their way of life and have really enjoyed her podcasts. They are packed with rich information and a different outlook than most on crucial topics such as parenting, finances, health and education. I’ve loved learning so much through her interviews and look forward to continue following along!
-
seriouslyneedaname120975Two thumbs upI’ve been loosely following Ellen for years and always enjoy her content and especially the diverse conversations that are presented. I may not agree with everything but, who does? Great podcast, I enjoy the long form dialogue.
-
MuTuMamaof3Love your podcast!I’ve been eating plant based/vegan for 23 years and have been quite happy to have come across your podcast. You’re voice is much needed!
-
No Satellite ConnectionOpen mindedI enjoy the diversity of Ellen’s podcast guests. She is open to hearing other opinions vs rushing to protect her position on a vegan lifestyle. The podcast in pro life/pro choice was long yet riveting Ellen is well versed on her subject matters.
-
clemmie45678Too longI really like Ellen’s YouTube channel so I thought I’d enjoy her podcast but it’s just too long. I can only make it through half of it. She crams too much information in and keeps unnecessary side chatter/rambling that should be edited out.
-
ellavnderSo inspiringI’ve been vegetarian for years and honestly this podcast is helping me become fully plant based, I feel very seen and I love how gentle and warm this show is :)
-
wellwithannikaHonest conversations that provoke thoughtI have to admit, I love everything Ellen Fisher puts out. Her heart shows in all her work. This podcast is so well done, the conversations are honest and authentic. Freedom of speech is encouraged on all topics brought to the table, even when there are opposing opinions. If you enjoy thought provoking discussions, if you know you don’t have all the answers to complex topics and want to learn more, if you care about health in all aspects of the word, this is the podcast for you. Well done, Ellen 👏🏼💜

celder86You are amazing!Ellen, it is so brave of you to speak out! I am so thankful for people like you! I can’t believe the cruelty sent your way for speaking the truth. People are so brainwashed and cruel. I am not vegan, however I feel connected to you in other ways as a mother. That doesn’t mean I’m against you because we eat differently, it is pathetic that people who don’t have the all same views as you feel like they have the right to attack you on that. This is a sad group of people. Keep doing the right thing, the right people will stand by you! It’s important now more than ever for our voices to be heard!
-
smithmlytjmInformationalI love Ellen’s podcast! Ellen is informative and also very compassionate. While I don’t always agree with everything presented in her podcasts, I always find myself pausing, thinking, and reflecting. I think it is so important to listen to others with different opinions to learn and grow as a person.
-
KJ42Open minded. While I don’t agree with everything Ellen promotes I do enjoy her take on things. I appreciate that Ellen is so willing to have different perspectives on her show. I think it’s super cool Ellen is doing the debates! I find them fascinating and honestly very eye opening. Even though Ellen is pretty conservative and I am pretty liberal I find it interesting and meaningful to listen to such conversations.
-
Margaret Rogers 97Opposing views and learning to value others opinionsIt is ok to have people in the world with opposing views. I don’t always agree with Ellen Fisher but I listen with an open mind and fact check what anyone says. I really value her episodes in my life. She makes episodes on a broad topic of ideas and concepts. She makes episodes on health and doesn’t claim to know everything. But she does have very valuable insight when it comes to it. There are so many people out there sharing their life and their opinions. Just because Ellen doesn’t fit with the main stream narrative doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have anything valuable to add to this platform.
-
TianaXLove itGreat podcast! Ellen is an open minded and thoughtful person. I love her Youtube vids and happy she started a podcast too. It would be interesting to see her have more people with opposing views on too!
-
toast santosSo insightful!Really love the different topics spoken on this podcast! I recently discovered Ellen on Instagram which led to me listening to the podcast, and it’s just such a great addition to all the other beautiful, inspiring and educational topics spoken on the other platforms! Thank you for the inspo!
-
Jen @ GoDiaperFreeAwesome deep divesGreat podcast to listen to about so many different topics. Appreciate the longer podcast with the ability to dive deeper into topics. Thanks for having some different topics and conversations on here! Looking forward to listening to more!
-
Gabriela TalithaAn Informational and Inspiring PodcastEllen’s podcast is full of variety! There is just SO much to chat about in today’s climate and Ellen’s podcast dives into these (sometimes) challenging topics to discuss with open mindednesses. They always make me leave feeling inspired and honestly, more compassion for the world around me as well. I admire the thoughtfulness, grace, and kindness this space lends. Seriously encourage y’all to just pick an episode and listen! =P
-
ashhdhfhgddgOne of my favorite podcastsI love the variety and honesty of the podcasts and how informative but still engaging they are. I think Ellen does a great job introducing lots of topics and bringing in knowledgeable people. My favorite one was definitely the one she did with her sister, it was so fun and interesting to listen to. :)
-
Nichol ALove Ellen and this podcast❤️I have been a follower of Ellen’s since she first started to vlog on YouTube. She is such an inspiration for living a more kind, Plantbased, beautiful, conscious/gentle parenting, and vibrant lifestyle. I highly recommend her YouTube channel and podcast to so many. Thank you, Ellen, for being your magical, authentic self. I love you
-
Aubergine GeneSteer ClearLike other reviews noted, Ellen endorses misinformation and twists critical thinking to support her lifestyle. Her podcast gives off vegan Joe Rogan vibes. Not good.
-
StarGazingAllWaysAnti LGBTQZuby is bigoted and anti LGBTQ. Promoting someone who has a history of bigoted remarks against people who are LGBTQ is hurtful. Ellen, what if one of your children grow up to be LGBTQ? Will you change your tune then? Do you care that you’ve hurt many of your early followers who are LGBTQ or have kids that are? And then to tell anyone who’s upset to just “keep an open mind” or that they are acting “too emotionally” ? Bizarre. Let’s see how you feel when someone attacks your kids for who they are. Maybe then you’ll empathize with those of us who loved watching you but feel betrayed from this.
-
NessebugBest podcast I’ve heardEllen is like one of those people you can trust with almost anything and always get great advise about life from. I found her on YouTube 8 years ago when her oldest son Elvis was a couple months old. I’ve tried to watch almost all of her video content it’s so wholesome.
-
Kaydrie ❄️Love!!! 🌸So important to have and hear open conversations on these topics. Very much enjoying 💛
-
LauraRennerReal dealI have always loved watching Ellen’s YouTube channel. It was so refreshing as a new mom to see a family focused on the same things I was wanting to focus on. I am not a vegan, but still love all the recipes and health tips. What captures my attention more though is the intentional living and willingness to question the accepted norms!
-
BabyH77Misinformation with a splash of veganismHey guys, don’t let “fear” or “wokeness” control you ok? Ellen is a 30 something white lady with zero degrees in nutrition or medicine. She is using her huge platform to live oUt her Hawaiian fantasy, on native land with virtually no mention of the native Hawaiians in her community or even how the pandemic has possible affected these communities. All of her friends are transplants from CA or some similar place, mostly white etc. She will make you feel bad for sending your kids to yucky public school and she got the guy who *created* MRNA vaccines (haha what???) to tell us that the vaccine is killing more healthy young people than helping them (false). So stop living in fear mmmk???? This podcast is terrible.
-
Ruthie RJDoesn’t apply to allI think Ellen does a good job sharing her perspective on several things: diet, vaccinations and COVID, woke culture, parenting, etc. Some of her episodes feel very one-sided as her guests feel like they are just highlighting one side. Most of the world would have a difficult time relating so it would be nice to see more diverse guests from very different walks of life and differing opinions.
-
apoland23Life changingThis podcast is so eye opening and so positive. I love listening to all the different viewpoints. I love that it’s not based on just one topic. Ellen’s voice is also so calming. Thank you for this podcast ♥️
-
Emmy 1994Respectable & relatableI’ve long admired Ellen from her YouTube channel, but getting to know her more deeply through this podcast she has earned my respect. The topics she covers are controversial, but the approach is one that allows space for everyone to come to the table. She shows great self awareness & awareness of counterpoints. Even when I’ve disagreed with her I never felt judged or called out. I can’t wait to hear more natural birth stories, homeschool practices & more. I’ve loved every episode I’ve listened to thus far.
-
Maeve**Epic!Ellen, I simply love your podcasts! The issues you dive into are so interesting and so needed! Thank you for sharing and for your heart-it shines through and is so beautiful!
