zackinnycSimply wonderfulSo wonderful to escape for 40 minutes or so and sit down with Ruthie and fascinating guests at table 4 and simply be a fly on the wall to just great conversations and insights. I love it.

pinchpotfarmErling Kagge booI wish the polar bear had killed him and his pal. Thanks for ruining my day.
-
JRobinson70OverratedFrancis Coppola interrupts constantly. It was a painful interview to listen to. There should not be a part two. Ruthie is so dear. She is patient and calm.
-
JodyT1984WonderfulI LOVE this podcast. I had no idea who Ruthie was and started listening when I heard she did an Elton interview, who I am a big fan of. Since then, I’ve listened to nearly every single episode. I just love it, it’s cathartic even. Calm, fun and informative.

rrrrwwww20Food!!!!Please do not get political!!!! Ugh…James Carville is an old curmudgeon leftist….
-
Theatrejen6Rich people talkingI am definitely a food snob, so this is up my alley but there is such a 1% vibe here. They don’t really address food insecurities (except for the Waters interview!) but food does indeed bring people together & you feel it here. Ruthie is the ultimate snob, but I like her relaxed style.

GoodGood SoulNot fond of the constant interruptions.I'm surprised how long this show has lasted given that the host is constantly constantly interrupting the guest. Drives me crazy. Will no longer listen.
-
LasercatstakeoverWonderfulA lot of the time it feels like you’re listening in on two friends catching up. The questions Ruthie asks seem thoughtful and interesting- unique even, occasionally- and they lead to answers and stories where you can hear the guests beautiful and individual humanity. Gorgeous

Tess@20ReminiscingDuring these dreadful times I’m finding conversations over food and life are a poultice. This wonderful podcast is one of them. My parents took us here a couple of times years ago - a very special occasion but hearing this podcast reminds me of my dad and his generosity and the best times in our family were always over a good meal. I miss him and his love of the Good Food Guide (piggy bible) and always finding good food wherever we went.

LaurogersFoodie escapismWhen political podcasts and news are just too much to absorb, this has become my absolute refuge. Ruthie has a wonderful laid-back conversational style and has a wide variety of interesting guests. Look forward to every episode each week! Great chats about food, culture, and family.

CiaoZuluI want to be RuthieO Ruthie, I feel as though I know thee. Yet, my conversations, while often revolving around food, aren’t experienced with the wide-ranging likes of your guests, although my peeps are an interesting lot. You ask all the right questions and make me feel like I can’t stop eavesdropping on a conversation between good friends at the table next to me, Table 4 to be exact. I love listening and learning and plan to adopt your comfort food question in my own conversations. Thanks for the great podcast.

That Trippi ShowI love this podcast!I love Ruthie’s podcast. Always an excellent interview, interesting guests and just thoroughly enjoyable. I learn something new every week. This podcast is the only one I listen to regularly. Absolutely fantastic! I am new to River Cafe and was able to have dinner there last year on a visit to London- wow! It did not disappoint.

leelee:::Thank you!The Vivek Murthy conversation is lovely! And the podcast overall is great for food lovers and also for human stories ❤️
-
Lefty LandGreat conversationsRuthie does a great job of initiating conversations about the many ways food touches lives. Her style is relaxed and engaging and the guests share experiences and feelings about food.

makfoodYou are my Sunshine! This is so charming and comforting! I am your new biggest fan from Indiana! Keep up the great work! Hope to visit your lovely cafe in the near future. You are my Sunshine is our family song; so touched to hear it mentioned on one of your episodes. I’m so happy I found your podcast!
-
Deb autxComfortingI love this podcast! It is my go to place in this world of chaos for Ruthie’s comforting voice and stories about food and preparation. I enjoy hearing about recipes and food experiences from various guests from all over the world. I hope to visit the River Cafe soon!
-
oiseau18Charming and educationalJust found this podcast. I really love hearing about family food habits/patterns/practices, especially re: guests of advanced age (e.g Mel Brooks, Martha Stewart). This podcast is a peek into the elite foodie world. I’m learning so much.

Julie in Big DSimon ran away with my heart…The sensual and creative nature of Simon Schama could release a dead man from the permanence of the grave. The most memorable podcast to date, Ruthie. From a more richly informed and grateful place, I thank you. Cheers!

Jacqueline from BrooklynMy favorite podcastI love this podcast so much! It always puts me in good mood and ready to cook. I think Ruthie is a wonderful interviewer and has the most fascinating guests.

Cali cooking galThe crème de la crème of podcasts!I absolutely love Ruthie and this podcast. Her first episodes got me through Covid-transporting me from California to London, feeling I had met all sorts of interesting new people. In addition to being an incredible chef & restauranteur, Ruthie is an excellent interviewer-creating a warm atmosphere infused with wit, humor, intelligent conversation and, of course, a love of food and all that it brings. I am so grateful to Ruthie for doing this podcast and introducing us to all of these amazing friends of here , new and old. River Cafe is my favorite restaurant in the world and Ruthie my favorite podcaster-brava, Ruthie!

RPFoleyUnder the table, listening to a brilliant conversation in the kitchenRuthie Rogers has one of the most beautiful, soothing voices in the podcast world. Every conversation is filled with intimacy, warmth, and good food!
-
kayebcthe comfort food of my podcast libraryI’ve listened to aaaaaalllllll of the episodes now. Favorites were Nigella and Austin Butler, and now, Jamie Oliver (looking forward to Part 2!). Love Ruthie’s voice.
-
beanburgersGreat chef, so so interviewerRuthie gets the very best guest and she is a remarkable chef and restauranteur. But, I find her a bit pretentious . When she is interviewing one of her many” famous best friends” it’s a bit precious and obsequious. And her skills as an interviewer needs polish.
-
swlondrobA joyI just love this podcast so much and the recent Jamie Oliver ep was perfect - could have listened to Ruthie and Jamie chat for hours!
-
gagaforribA Brilliant host has the best guests! Each and every guest on Ruthie’s show is a gem of intelligence and talent. Through food memories, she teases out the ordinary and beautiful reminders of their lives.
-
lemnosTable Four River CafeNothing like it. Personal and passionate conversations about food, family, growing up and restaurants, led by Ruthie Rogers, an engaging, non-fawning host, who seems to have the ability to get celebrities to shed the artificial and get real.
-
pritchardsbike33618Boundlessly charming!A love song — a duet — sung to the glorious power of food.
-
Arp121Flat interviewRuth Waters is more than a chef—she is a divine artist. She is not, however, a skilled or talented interviewer.

Viaggiatrice23Such a good 30 minute podcast!Congratulations Ruthie Rogers for this amazing new podcast. It is a joy to listen to the owner of The River Cafe discuss food, and life, and food with Jake Gyllenhaal. I love the format and the time length. There are so many podcasts but this one is unique in combining food with fun and thoughtful conversation. I cannot wait for the next one.
