Oh My Fraud

"Oh My Fraud" is a podcast where the true crime is shocking, gruesome, heinous, but with way fewer dead bodies. Hosted by Caleb Newquist, each episode explores fraud cases from petty swindles to corporate conspiracies, examining the people involved, their motives, methods, and how they spent the loot before it all came to a spectacular, inevitable end.

    Fantastic podcast
I’ve been listening to this podcast since the beginning. It’s so interesting that I’m saving a few episodes to listen to on a road trip.

    Here for the Language
This podcast is top tier, the producing is professional, and educational. I greatly appreciate the time and effort they gave put into the material. Don’t let the whiny bad reviews about language fool you, it’s tame. The stories are outrageous and entertaining!

    Smart, Entertaining and Interesting
Spirted and informative. I also appreciate the good sound quality. Thanks!

    Great Show even for Non-Accountants
The show is amazing. As an accountant with his CPA, it is a great easy listen during my work day, and I don’t even use it for my CPE requirement. If you love true crime and want to know more about white collar crome, this is the show for you!

    Language
I just cannot get past the use of vulgar language. The show is usually amazing, informative, and entertaining. I can handle a bit of language but the quantity is just too much and really detracts from the message. I will not be listening to this podcast anymore.
  • ah….
    Play it in reverse!
I am not an accountant. I don’t even really like spreadsheets and numbers. I have no interest in CPE. But I love this podcast. I have learned so much! I play it in reverse to learn how to do a better job of embezzlement and other financial crimes. It’s been a real godsend! Thanks guys!

    Unnecessary and unprofessional
I don’t know why you would use language that is coarse and filthy on a podcast like this. It repels a portion of your audience and doesn’t add any value. I’ll have to stop listening.

    I hate it
I did fraud investigations for over a decade. All my friends tell me I should do a podcast about my stories because it would be fun and be a good side hustle. Except you guys have already done that, and you do it WAY better than I could and are way more funny than I am. So I have to tell my friends that they need to listen to you instead. Thanks for stealing a potential revenue stream from me that I’m sure is making you more than Rita Crundwell ever got.

I’m just here so I get paid. Thanks Greg!

    Here since the beginning
I’ve been here since the first few episodes and my friends make fun of me for listening because I literally have no connections to finance, I don’t even know what CPE credit is LOL. But I do love learning about non-violent crime and you guys get the job done while being absolutely hilarious. I’ve learned so much about accounting too!! Keep it up 😎

I’m just here for the disaster tourism.
Great podcast with smart and funny hosts. I’m not a CPA or even in a field remotely close to accounting but I love hearing about these tales of fraud and malfeasance. Imagine a Venn Diagram with True Crime, Accounting, and No Murders and this is at the center.

    Came for the CPE…
    …stayed for the swears.

    Niche
I’m not here for the CPE. But I am absolutely here for all the moral decay and none of the bodily decay. Nonviolent true crime is my jam.

    Started listening to this because
I needed something to listen to on my afternoon walks and thought it would be good for review since I’m going for an Accounting degree at 30. Turns out it’s just a fun and informative podcast. Super funny and my wife likes it too now that I’ve forced her to listen to it past time we drove to Disney. 10/10 would recommend!

    Best Accounting podcast!!
Every episode is interesting and informative and you can earn CPE! Love the hosts, love the swearing and love the theme music!

    Hilarious and educational
Oh My Fraud! Is one of my top go-to podcasts and I’ve been raving about it to all my colleagues at my firm. I first started listening when someone from our forensic accounting team shared, and from episode 1 I was hooked. I really haven’t needed the CPE yet, but it’s great to know it’s available if I ever do. Greg and Caleb often have me chuckling to myself as I listen to their entertaining stories on the biggest scandals and fraud cases I never knew existed. Only downside is I’m almost caught up to present day and will soon have to wait for new episodes to drop…I hate waiting. Thanks for this great piece of content I never knew I needed and thoroughly enjoy!

Loved right up until they opened up about politics

    Fun and interesting
I LOVE listening to this podcast, it quickly became my favorite go-to podcast beating out the true crime ones. I’m still working towards my CPA and in the phase of getting those extra 30 college credits. This podcast has saved me when I have nothing left to say on the umpteenth discussion board post of the day. I rehash something I learned from the podcast, loosely tie it back to the class work, and then tell all my classmates to listen to Oh My Fraud. Works every time. (Edit: Yes I credit y’all when I use your content in classwork🤦🏻‍♀️)

    Former CPA now Nurse Practitioner
I was a CPA for nine years in Silicon Valley and worked for PriceWaterhouse Coopers and I found the industry soul crushing kind of boring except for the fun little frauds we would find when auditing different companies. Eventually, I quit and got retrained as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and now I work as a board certified ARNP in dermatology. However I was looking up fraud in podcasts and came across your delightful podcast. You guys have a great premise, and the stories are very interesting and I’m a subscriber! However, just in this last episode of Kevin Hart it took you 12 minutes to get to any substantial information on the actual fraud, and that was kind of disappointing and reminds me of the reason why I left the field! There’s so many people in the accounting, attesting and auditing industry that just think they are so interesting with their little anecdotes, where I just want to hear the story. You guys have great personalities and if I needed to teach someone or some employees some CPE I would definitely reach out to you bc you’re so engaging but come on. I don’t need every anecdote from your morning life. Keep up the good work! Tell us about all the little juicy frauds!

I’m an ex-Mormon, and I endorse this podcast
As a CPA of 20+ years and ex-Mormon descended from a polygamist, this is my favorite podcast. Great stories, well-researched and thoroughly entertaining. Five stars.

One possibility for the costume store to stay in business is that they often diversify into party supplies in general; potentially even offering a decorating service that goes to location

    Best podcast ever
I found your podcast from my amazing sister. I am not a CPA or even an accountant, I’m a nurse with an MBA healthcare focus. I have learned so much just from listening to your podcast. You keep it entertaining and my brain doesn’t stray. Thank you! I appreciate you and your time you give us. Maybe one day you’ll give us a tax fraud case related to healthcare. Keep up the strong work! Thanks Bethany Brosnan Beard

    The best CPA continuing ed
Caleb and Greg are funny, super smart, and very interesting. Listening through Earnark is the most entertaining way to get useful continuing ed. However, even if I didn’t need the CPE hours, I’d still listen. They’re great!
  • TSB32
The best way to get CPE
I wrote this review just to see if it would get read at the top of an episode and sure enough, it did! But seriously, I need 120 CPE credit hours to reactivate my license and working through the backlog of Oh My Fraud episodes is making that process entertaining AND educational, in that order.
  • Peppapigpuddles
    The Best
I am done with my CPE requirement for my upcoming license renewal (much thanks to this podcast and Earmark!) and I’m still listening to this podcast because I love it and Greg and Caleb make me laugh. Also fraud.

The Funniest Way to Get CPE!
This podcast is my favorite way to get CPE credit! Greg and Caleb are hilarious, and I love their storytelling dynamic. Whenever I think of the episode that mentions Bob McNutt, I start laughing every time. 😂 Keep up the great work and thanks for all the time you both spend researching!

    Favorite Podcast!
Finally, stories about financial fraud in a way that doesn’t make a super interesting subject sound boring! Every episode is equal parts informative and entertaining and I’m really thankful to have found it. I’m getting my masters of accounting at the moment, and this podcast has absolutely helped fuel my enthusiasm for the subject. It’s like getting to be part of a cool little club of weird accounting nerds and I love it. And the fact that you can get CPE on top of that is awesome.
  • twright917
    Love the podcast!!
As someone studying for the CPA (one section left!) I’ve been looking into what CPE entails and stumbled across this podcast! Absolutely love it and have told all my coworkers about it as well
  • shannonkweinstein
    CPE and a great podcast!
I can’t believe I get CPE without watching soul crushing PowerPoint presentations. This show is a welcome dose of humor, stories and lessons on fraud and the people who work in the industry. A regular podcast on rotation for me.
  • ASweet_Accntant
    Fun podcast that’s also informative
This is such a refund podcast! The banter between Greg and Caleb is hilarious. But I am also learning about some interesting and carried frauds at the same time. A really refreshing way to earn CPE besides sitting in a classroom or webinar learning about tax updates.
  • Sweet_D2011
    This is a great podcast!
This show is a refreshing change from stuffy CPE trainings. I am a CFE and have to attend a lot of trainings to keep up on my certification and they can be soooo boring. Personally, I like the cursing! Don’t change a thing.
  • Claytonias
    LOVE THIS SHOW
I love this f’ing show. I watch it for the cursing but as an accountant the topics interest me… albeit it mildly. Best podcast on earth for swear enthusiasts like myself.
  • Insurance Fraud Investigator
    Fantastic Podcast
This a fantastic podcast for anyone is the anti-fraud sector. I work as a Fraud Investigator for a disability insurance company and discovered this podcast when I was researching PPP fraud. The PPP episodes provided a great high-level overview of pandemic fraud and I shared them with my entire team. The hosts also do a great job of keeping things lighthearted and this makes it less dry than other anti-fraud podcasts. Keep up the great work!
  • Notashappyascanbe
    Love this!
This podcast is so entertaining!! I love their chemistry and comedic perspective on these fraud cases. Woohoo to these funny CPAs! I have listened to all the episodes and have learned a lot.
  • cred_8
Great podcast for accountants and fraud enthusiasts alike
As an accountant and auditor I love this podcast. While I may have a bias towards these topics they do a great job keeping it interesting and engaging. Then on top of that you can earn some cos credits? Sign me up.

    Hilariously dry
Love these guys! Binged season 1 like a true nerd, just for fun. Pumped for more! Keep it coming!
  • MMBuga
    Smartless… but for CPAs??
I’m not a CPA, just a lowly public servant with a weird obsession of financial fraud and I HIGHLY recommend this podcast. My God these guys crack me up — enough so that I put Smartless on the back burner to catch up on these episodes.

    This podcast is the best!
This is the best way to earn CPE! I look forward to each new episode! The tone and commentary is awesome and helps highlight the accounting and internal control issues! This Utah CPA highly enjoys Greg and Caleb each week!

    Best way to get CPE!
Greg and Caleb are the best! This podcast is a great way to hear interesting stories with funny commentary. I recommend this podcast to everyone in my office.

    So satisfying!
As a practicing CPA who can’t get enough of financial crime documentaries / stories, I really appreciate this podcast and am so glad I discovered it. It’s also especially useful that these episodes are CPE eligible.

    My Favorite Podcast, Hands Down
I’m a CPA who is always fascinated by white collar crime and your show never disappoints. Your banter and occasional f-bombs make my mornings brighter! Keep it up, boys. Oh, and please start releasing a new episode every few days or so. K? Thanks!! 😁
  • Nisanaeo

A+ podcast about fraud and ethics
Greg and Caleb or Caleb and Greg (you guys can choose who goes first) are killin’ it with this podcast. There are so many lessons to be learned and it great to have accounting professionals who bring these stories to the top in a fun, informative way and we’re able to get CPE to boot (pun intended). Thanks for what you do and taking case recommendations from your audience (remember Fat Leonard). Keep up the great work!

Y’all are informative, insightful, and most importantly, Hilarious!

    Annoying
Not for me. Found the host more annoying than anything. The hosts could not stay on track. If you can get CPE for this I don’t see why you can’t get it for listening to any podcast.
  • drydenscot
    Fascinating topics; fun, educated guys
I stumbled upon this podcast by accident, and I just love it. I only wish there were more episodes. They tackle each story with knowledge and education, but in a really fun, engaging manner. I wish my industry doled out CEs in such an entertaining way.

I Love Me Some Fraud, and This Pod Delivers It
Great podcast with great explanations and a great selection of frauds, also with a sarcastic sense of humor that I can jibe with. A lot of the cases I was not familiar with prior to listening, I like that they focus on some of the lesser know frauds. The stories are well told and have a great take on the accounting principles involved with the frauds. Keep em’ coming and thanks for the content!
  • smokinidahoan
    Don’t miss this!
Entertaining & informative…plus you can earn CPEs. 1000x better than webinars or self-study, highly recommend!
