PGuyotListen to those who know!I love this podcast! Michael Jamin is the real deal - a working professional screenwriter - and his podcast is all about the truth when it comes to Hollywood and screenwriting. Jamin has guests on who are - guess what? - working professional writers and producers! This isn’t some podcast by a wannabe who has some guest on who finished in the top 20% of the Barstow Script Contest & Bake Sale. These are real Hollywood professionals sharing what it’s really like and how best to make it in this tough business. But here’s the other thing - the podcast is hilarious! There’s nothing better than hearing comedy professionals together and Jamin and his guests make this as entertaining as it is informative. Simply one of the best podcasts on screenwriting and Hollywood that’s out there!

NedwinsIvy League Film School level writing course for freeNYU’s Tisch would kill to have someone like Michael teaching Comedy Writing 101… which is essentially what this veteran of the TV writing world has been putting out for years now, for free.

Number1156Everything Writing & CreativityThanks Michael & Phil! I’m just a regular, plain Jane writer, not a screen writer, but I’ve been inspired & learned so much from the podcast. It really is about writing, writers, story, creativity, and being bold enough to get it done. I magically came across Michael on IG and it brought me to the podcast. I hope you keep it up in one way or another for a long time.

Tom AmodeoNo Regrets! Invest Your Time Here.If you’re looking to find the Hollywood Insider that is finally giving away the “secrets” of how to get your foot in the door, well, you found it in Michael Jamin. It just may not be what you were expecting. You will get real world advice, debunking all of the myths around getting into show business. Hearing his co-host, Phil Hudson, an up and coming writer & Michael Jamin, a 26+ year vet of tv writing discuss their unique perspectives on a variety of relevant subjects alone is enough to listen, but it’s entertaining, too. Along with the podcast, Phil curated an easy to navigate ecosystem to start the path for yourself at michaeljamin.com. I started listening to the podcast after getting immense value out of his social media posts, which he still is doing. It’s entertaining and stays to the point. Like a good script, there is no fat in the delivery of his messages. I look forward to the weekly emails and podcasts, along with the social media posts and live feeds. Oh and this is all for free! No Ads! Unless you count his course, which I have just purchased myself. Whether you are an aspiring, writer, actor, or just cracking open your curiosity of creativity, there is no better place to stop than right here. END SCENE

PhilHorlacherJREveryone needs to hear this (not only screenwriters)I love this podcast, even as a non-screenwriter, because each episode teaches me a little more about how to appreciate great movies or shows. This podcast will also teach you writing skills you can apply to everyday business writing, because strong writing entails many universal techniques. Equally important, Michael and Phil host well together and the episodes are just short enough to enjoy while I walk the dog in the morning. Highly recommend for anyone who loves movies, or simply strives to improve their writing.

I'll second thisTip of the hat to Phil!Although Mr. Jamin is full of so much helpful information, it’s really Phil that brings this podcast to life! He does a marvelous job at prying open the vault of knowledge that is in Michaels head! As a trucker who is inspired to write, this podcast perfect for me to get a fun look inside the writers minds. Devin McRobertsA candid look at the business of TV writingThis podcast is a must listen for any aspiring TV writer. Michael and Phil do a great job sharing what it takes to write professionally. Michael has made a career from writing. The advice he shares is time tested. There are a lot of shows featuring amateur screenwriters regurgitating a book they read. This is NOT one of those podcasts. If you want to learn what it means to write for TV from an actual TV writer this is the show for you!

d111mackA Master Class in TV WritingThrough their conversations Michael Jamin and Phil Hudson offer invaluable insight on both the business of being a writer in Hollywood and the inner workings of a writer’s room. Referencing shows from his decades-long career, Jamin walks us through his process of breaking a story and how to hit key emotional plot points to drive the story forward and leave the audience wanting more.
