Definitely can’t listen to episodes that don’t have her. This is why I stopped listening to So Supernatural. There’s tons of podcasts that have great info but the voices are what attract you. If the voices change why not change to another podcast where you can decide who you’d like to have as a host?

i only listen for the actual content. the best nationwide cold case running collective in podcast form. im big into cold cases. but the music is so unnecessary and overdramatic that it did almost ruin it for me. i think they donate a percentage to law enforcement so that new decks get created.....which was excellent to hear.

I can’t listen to Brit episodes. Both vocally and story - somehow she makes them cheesy and gross.

I listen to the Deck to get away from Brit. And now she’s on this one too. Ew

Just wanted to reach out and say that Kylie Lowe’s appearance as Host of the December 4, 2024 episode for Wojciech Fudali was AMAZING. Besides Ashley, she is my favorite Audiochuck Host. I would love to see a Crime Junkie episode between Ashley and Kylie. I really hope the Fudali family finds answers and closure one day, maybe as a result of this episode.

The horrid music behind the entire episode is districting.

Im not trying to be mean but I have to let you guys know the reporter in the November 6th episode has a cringy worthy voice. It is nothing like Ashley’s warm calm informative tone.

Took me two podcasts and I ordered your books and started at the beginning of your recordings. You definitely found your calling - love everything you’re doing Ashley! My favorite podcasts!

The background music is tooo loud and not needed. It’s distracting and annoying. The actual podcast is good and I like hearing everyone’s stories and what’s being done to try and find them.

I don’t like that at the beginning of season 1 “investigates” you reveal what the end of the investigation is; that Darlene is never found and there are no answers. Everything you said made me decide not to listen to Season 1. Also, in that same part you revealed the end of Season 2’s case about Ada! I’ve only listened to the first 8 episodes about Ada and now I know the end of that season too! I don’t know why you would include any of this info before anyone listens to your shows.

After listening to the 3 part series on Darlene I’m full of gratitude for the work The Deck is doing on this case. Prosecutor Nelson should be ashamed of his behavior in this case. He works for the people. He owns this to the family. Those girls are victims too. What they witnessed is unimaginable.

This is another Ashley Flowers stealing from other people. Listen to Dealing Justice instead.

I’ve been a fan of the Deck for a while. But I absolutely love the new series put out in bulk about a case covered in the podcast. I hope we can get some other deep dives into some of the Deck cases!

Season 1 of the deck investigates tore my heart out, stomped on it, and then threw it away. I ended the series crying thinking about Darlene, how much she loved her children, and how in her final moments all she cared about was keeping them safe. This podcast is so well done, Ashley is a wonderful story teller.

I love the pod so keeping it 5 star. However, today, I had to pull my car over to the side of the road thinking I was having car trouble while listening to one of the more recent episodes about Darlene’s murder. At some point I paused the pod and the noise was gone. After getting back on the road, I pressed play, and the noise was back. Yep - it’s in the background of the episode. A deep low vibration sound. Relieved but annoyed.

More genuine empathy and fewer sensation adjectives and sound effects would be so much less cringey. It's a shame because the research seems good. One of those exploitive shows family members probably endure for the sake of exposure but shouldn't have to.

As with anything from AudioChuck, this is top notch.

I absoutely love this podcast and all things done by the AudioChuck team. Ashley is always easy to listen to and I feel good that I’m listening to ethical podcasting. I have seen it happen in my own community as a cold case was solved through a grant from Season of Justice!

I know I’ve given all of my favorite podcasts 5 stars but they keep disappearing. Maybe if I leave a review it will let my 5 stars stay.

Love being able to hear cases you may not always hear about!

I appreciate that this series, along with other audiochuck productions, are about how the public can make a difference. It’s about education on the advancement of science. The struggles of current law enforcement agencies. It’s about empowering listeners to be engaged in making a difference. I adore Team Chuck! Thank you for doing what you do!

Especially for people who pay a premium to listen to their other podcast add free. It really breaks flow of the story and the longer the episode, the more commercials.

This is a well researched and presented podcast about cold cases. For the life of me, I can’t figure out what people mean when they say it’s “too political.” It sounds like people are just looking for something to be angry about. I enjoy how the narrative is told in these cases and there isn’t excessive banter like other true crime podcasts. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I just prefer this approach. These episodes play out like little documentaries with interviews with reporters. It’s very good.

Assuring you don’t offend the victim or their family by using specific terminology is political? Digging deep into a case and pointing out where the ball was dropped or where some things may have been missed is political? Having a lot of passion and empathy for victims of crime and wanting to help solve these cases is political? I’m tired of people using the word woke in a way that makes it seem like a bad thing. Being aware and conscience and knowledgeable is better than being asleep and blind and stupid.

Ashley claims to be pro law enforcement but the way she tells the stories is very anti - law enforcement. I listened for a long time but I can no longer listen to the nit picking of every single move or mis-move by LE. We are all human and mistakes are made. Some are nefarious but most are honest.

I came for true crime, not to be brainwashed. Drop the propaganda and focus on the stories, which are lacking in quality for what this pod should be.

So many people in the reviews complain about this podcast. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s fine but these are cold cases for a reason, there isn’t much information. They need attention and Ashley is trying to do just that even if it does seem like it could be a 2 minute episode instead of 30 minutes. But at least Ashley is bringing that attention to these cases. If you don’t like her shows then don’t listen. Politics is in everything so get over it.

I enjoy Ashley’s efforts in trying to get attention on ALL various stories. If inclusion is too WOKE for you then don’t listen. Will never understand why folks choose to complain rather than turn the channel. Choose another podcast. No one is forcing you to listen. Maybe think about why some of the issues in these stories bother you, when at the end of the day that is a human whose life has been taken. Someone’s child, sibling, parent, etc. I guess today compassion and empathy can’t occur until something awful happens to you and yours. Thank you Ashley 💙

The background “music” or whatever that banging around junk noise is has become a distraction. I love the show, but it’s getting hard to listen to. Please tone it down and I’ll come back with a five star review! Update: May 30, 2024 background music was ridiculous! Please, just stop! I love this podcast but I can not give it 5 stars.

A loyal listener since the beginning. Love the concept and the story telling. However, between this and Crime Junkie, Flowers is way too focused on a political agenda rather than presenting cold cases to help get them solved. Not willing to listen any longer with woke propaganda.

Missing depth. I feel like the episodes are being glossed over a bit- just no personality in these episodes.

Every 2-3 episodes seemingly there’s another LGBTQ propaganda message pushed down your throat. I’ve been listening to Crime Junkie and The Deck for a long time, but it’s becoming insufferable. I gotta unfollow. Enough already!
