I found the information I learned from the podcast extremely helpful in my profession as an elementary school teacher. We are constantly looking at the process of reading education in terms of ways of improving outcomes to decrease learning gaps and increase proficiency for all!

I. LOVE. THIS. SHOW. I’d been in a huge reading rut when I ran into The Reading Culture, and hearing Jordan and these authors get so excited about stories and how they can affect our lives has given me a ton of reading energy. It’s helped me carve out time to sit down and tackle the pile of books that was taking over my nightstand. I especially love the diverse voices that I get to hear each episode. This has turned into a must-listen and I’m always pumped to see it pop into my feed.

The Reading Culture is my favorite of all the author interview podcasts I have listened to! Jordan lets the authors talk (yay!) and has a way of getting them to open up so you identify with them. I love the diversity of authors and that these are authors kids love. Fantastic podcast!

This is a fantastic podcast, highlighting popular, children and teen authors. Episodes highlight the authors experiences and writing process. This is a great podcast to share with students who are studying the authors highlighted. It’s also a great way for students and teachers to interact with Beanstack. Highly recommended.

I started listening to the reading culture about three months ago, and I love it! The authors are not only excellent writers, but they share their insights on life, growing up, reading, compassion, bravery – – and of course the importance of libraries and books! My “to be read“ pile just keeps growing!

I was so happy when I discovered this podcast! I first found out about it in October with Lamar Giles’ episode and the elementary-middle grade students at my library were looking for scary books in time for Halloween. Now I’m book club, the kids are always looking forward to the new reading challenges each author does… and the prizes I bring for completing the challenge!

I heard so many nuggets to apply to my parenting of 3 kids with different interest and abilities with very creative and different points of views. Looking forward to future episodes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this first episode, especially in the second half! Meg Medina, in answering Jordan Booker’s questions, gave me new confidence to keep fighting the good fight in today’s cultural climate. ❤️
