Worthy Content…

Mike’s podcast and TV commentary is most edifying as a follower of Jesus and very helpful in looking at the issues of the day in a proper perspective. It is the stuff that makes what being a patriotic American is all about, the same stuff that it takes to be a faithful Christian—Jesus in the center of it all.

Excellent Show, terrible audio

The show is excellent but the audio is very low. You have to listen to it in an increased volume, but when the advertising plays it’s so loud. They have to work on mixing it right.

The things America needs to hear.

This country has lost its way. We have taken God from any and everything. God is the answer to all our problems in this country. Mike has an outstanding understanding of Scripture and how it goes hand in hand with our everyday life and with how we should use Scripture even in political issues. It is a pleasure to know there are men like Mike, of his young age, who really gets it and can reason things out for himself. Nothing better than one who can think for themselves. Really like the format. Extend length?

I listen to podcasts while working on things in the shop. Prefer long formats. Hour or more. The content itself is great. It’s a refreshing break from the hammer blows of bad news that other (necessary) voices offer most days. Rather than hear about evil approaching from 1000 different directions simultaneously, it helps me to know that evil is monolithic, and it’s just the way it’s going to go. Satan loses in the end, and dealing with these things on a spiritual level is more hopeful and realistic than still trying to hold onto a leaking life raft of conservative politics.

Great Podcast!

Great podcast! The ad placement can be a bit annoying as they sometimes cut off Mike. I don’t know if you (Mike) have any control over the ad placement but if you do it would be great if you could put them all at the beginning and/end of the podcast. Thanks and I’ve been listening to the podcast since you started them and they have helped me tremendously!

Very Well Done

This format is so great. I love that Slater ends on a more positive note of what we can control. I used to listen to Mike Slater on talk radio am760 when we lived in San Diego and I loved how he always taught something new about the topic. He always has a bit of history or a new perspective or an amazing book recommendation. I have read his book, “How to Change Someone’s Mind”, a book by another author, “Tribe”, and I am currently reading “The Happiness Hypothesis” because of him. All great reads. I definitely recommend this podcast. I love the short shows to get my morning started and the longer ones to dive in deeper.

Uplifting!

Mike talks about the stories of the day, but doesn't just say how awful it all is. He pivots to offering people of faith a way to use the "awful story of the day" to illustrate Biblical truth and how to utilize this in daily life. I find his perspective to be uplifting- in a time when there is so much corruption and social/political upheaval, this podcast is an oasis of calm. I am a better person for hearing what Mike has to say.

Stop changing the podcast!

Podcast has a great concept! Please stop changing things. If you want to make it shorter, don’t explain; just do it. If you want to do more episodes, don’t explain; just do it. If you want to do a five part five minute morning thing for a week, don’t spend four minutes the first morning explaining. Just say you’re gonna do it in one sentence. The podcast is great, and even without your 1000 reviews, it is working. The only thing that isn’t working are the long winded explanations about how you are going to “fix” or tweak things. Just do it. It’s already working.
