RileyA10101WAS—-The BEST podcast!!***editing as of 03/28/25 Mel, my original review is below. I fell in love with this podcast and listened every single day on my ride to work. I bought your book. But something felt off about the whole thing. Then I found out about Cassie Phillips. I was so so so sad to learn what you did. PLEASE speak up, take accountability, take responsibility, and make this wrong RIGHT. I can’t even listen to any of your stuff anymore because it feels wrong to do so. I thought so highly of you. You need to address this and do the right thing. My review will go from a 5 to a 1 until then. What you did with the “Let Them Theory” was simple—-not right. I am so grateful I found this podcast. It is something I look forward to listening on my way to work every week. Great advice and amazing conversations. A wonderful self growth podcast with your friend Mel. Thanks Mel for all you do to bring this informations to all our ears!! Amazing!!!!!

Ofay32More confused than everMel First thank you for all the knowledge and insight you share. I’ve been a listener for years and find such value in your thoughts and opinions and your guest expertise. Most recently I am more confused then ever. I love Dr Pelz episode and explaining the benefits to f fasting and how it differs from woman then I listened to the most recent and with DR Sims and says eat breakfast and don’t fast. Just when I thought I had a handle on this for my 57 year old self I’m more Confused than ever.

sleeplessinNE2020Used to love this showNow it feels like every week a new “expert” has a program, supplement, book, or affiliated service to “fix” middle aged women. It all just adds to the stress and confusion women feel at this age.

DizzyDoll5Good content, bad deliveryI listen to this podcast because the topics appeal to me. My issue, though, is how the podcast is delivered. First of all, Mel repeats things so much throughout each episode. So many of her episodes are an hour or more in length, but if she were to cut down on the long random stories, and reduce how much she repeats herself, they would be more digestible, probably 25 to 30 minutes. As an example, I usually fast forward through the first 7-8 minutes of each podcast because she reiterates and repeats multiple times what the podcast is about to be about, and meanwhile I’m literally just waiting for the actual content to start. My other big issue with Mel is when she is interviewing a guest, she asks really stupid questions — questions I feel like, as someone in the health and wellness space, she should already know the answer to. So either she’s asking those questions to play dumb and provoke a conversation/explanation with the interviewee to help her audience, or she really is that uninformed and that concerns me. I get frustrated, listening to all her stupid questions and her “wow” and “ah ha” moments. But the fact that she said “kettleballs” instead of “kettlebells” kind of shows that she really doesn’t know what she’s talking about in the health and wellness space. Oh and for anyone who listened to the episode about the owl a while ago?.. WHAT. WAS. THAT. Even listening to it on 2x speed, that was a huge waste of my time. Time I’ll never get back…

ChaeMarleyLife changingEvery single episode has something to reflect on. I appreciate your interviews, how relatable you are, and you taking the time to find relevant topics and information as we all go through this life. It feels like the ultimate village of support and I love that! Thanks for all your hard work.

Rowdy ReviewGreat Book but Podcast was a little DisappointingGood content and information. Enjoyed Mel’s book but was disappointed with the profanity in the podcast. Can’t listen to it when kids are around.

Lansdowne0910Soooo much blathering onI wanted to check out this podcast based on other feedback. I listened to the 4 Easy Night Time Habits for Better Sleep. The points were fine. Pretty obvious but good reminders. Mel Robbins unfortunately does her listeners a disservice by yammering on and on. And not even interesting - in one case describing a greasy pan left in the sink or a messy toilet for 5 minutes. We get it!!!! I fast forwarded thru most of it and during the greasy pan in the sink discussion decided to just turn it off. It was good for a nap though so I guess maybe I am getting better sleep. Seriously though, this should have been a 10 minute podcast. Otherwise the podcaster is just pandering to advertisers.

CJTH61Exceptional InterviewI have listened to numerous podcasts with Gabor Mate. Mel’s interview with him was the best ever. So much valuable information that everybody needs. Forwarding this episode to everybody, I know.

ElizMarksBrilliantI am obsessed. Absolutley brilliant podcast for teaching you how to live life happily.

Marlowe1963Great info but one cringy thingAll was well until you said our bodies were “designed” for movement, and then finally the clincher, the pseudoscientific notion of intelligent design was invoked. I thought this information was supposed to be based on science! The idea that you are trying to convey, that our bodies need movement to stay healthy, is good. Better to say the human body evolved to need movement to survive and thrive.

jillhallsFiller and FluffNot a good use of your time. Too much dithering and self-importance with very little substance.

kawesmal2910RepetitiveI listened to a recent podcast about consistent bedtimes and it started out so strong I turned it on for my husband to listen to as well. 30+ minutes in, we were laughing and honestly over it because she just was saying the same thing over and over and over. Talking about picking a good bed time 9 hours before you want your next day to start - and then proceeding to give example after example after example of what that means. “Want to wake up at 6:00 am? That would mean rewind the clock 9 hours so your bedtime would actually be 9:00 pm! If you don’t wake up until 8:30 am, this is crazy, your bedtime would be 9 hours before that, so you would want to be in bed at 11:30 pm” and so on and so on. She talks about how busy we are — but our evenings will not be spent listening to someone who take 30 minutes to explain basic math. So much potential if she’d just get to the point!

Boomer's HumanReal! Helpful!!Listening to this podcast is like sitting and having a conversation with one of your most intelligent and resourceful friends. I love all of her episodes and I’m never bored. If I had one critique, it would be that Mel repeats herself too much. Sometimes I’m confused and think somehowI I rewound by 30 seconds but, nope, it’s just Mel repeating herself. Mell, brevity is the key to good communication. We hear yah the first time!

Beth Fl NCI tell all my family about how great you podcast is!I have learned so much from your interviews with some of the smartest folks out there. Thanks for breaking it down so I can understand!

love4653I love the podcastI love this podcast and especially episodes where Mel brings in experts to discuss topics. One topic I would love for you to do an episode on is over planning/ over goal setting and how this can lead to fear of planning/ goal setting. Also ways to combat the fear of over planning. Personally, I used to love planning, but after my plans failed over and over again, I have developed some avoidance to planing/ goal setting which has made it hard to grow as a person. At first when I felt this way I had a hard time pin pointing why I felt the way I did but once I did it made a lot of sense. I would love to know more on this topic because it’s not talked about enough! Thank you!

Desert Rat 🖤Inspiring but Long WindedLove coming to her for inspiration but it feels like she’s stretching information out, unnecessarily. I don’t like how she “simplifies” things… I think her listeners are usually smart enough to get it the first time.

-barethecowardsUnfollowedYou plagiarized work from another author, Cassie Phillips, for your book, Let Them. Her poem and the tattoo movement that followed preceded your work by two years. You were denied your copyright request because it was already copyrighted. The We Can Do Hard Things team deleted their interview with you because of your lack of integrity. You cooked up some crock story to claim this as your own. Shame on you and any in your circle who fail to call you to do better. You are actively choosing to be a fraud.
-
ElizzykDisappointedYou did you just think “let them” when you decided to forgo giving Cassie Philips any credit in your book? Clearly, you took the idea from her. There is video evidence from on social media. It makes your podcast hard to digest because you can’t humble yourself enough to walk it back and give her credit. Returned your book.
-
cntSo inspiringI love this show! I loved the Let Them Theory book. I’m obsessed with the episode with Sawyer because of my own personal struggles. Thank you!
-
Runnermel1019Read your bookFound your podcast I know it will be good! I’m so excited! Your book was amazing and I can’t wait to read it again

SparkklesIncredibly inspirationalThank you for giving me something I never knew I was missing. The knowledge that this isn’t my fault, that there is hope and I am not alone. I appreciate you and thank you again for an incredibly helpful and informative conversation

MeekaDragonWake up focusedDid the nighttime routine suggestions last night & my sleep tracker says I got 8 hrs and 14 seconds of sleep! Thank you.
-
MEKmommyOofRefusing to acknowledge that you stole this idea from someone else and speaking over the experts to insert your own opinions SCREEEEEAMS narcissist. This is why we can’t have good things. We need this content and then trust the person giving it only to find out this is a cash grab attention seeking moment for you versus something you really deep down believe in.

Photo book fanBlahblahblahWay too much chatty, boring filler. Not to mention most of the info with Vonda was old common knowledge; Use it or lose it/ JUST DO IT.I do appreciate the small amount of scientific back up in the last 20 mins.

AbbottseMel is Like Having a Life Coach in Your PocketFinding Mel, this podcast and reading all of her books has been life changing. I have been introduced to so many amazing influencers through this podcast. Sooo grateful. Your biggest fan 😊💕
-
BrandiHandfulThief.I’m unfollowing because you stole from Cassie Phillips. I thought you had integrity. I was wrong. I hope Audible will give me my money back. Make this right. Give Cassie credit and pay her what she is owed for her idea.

Merlin2/14ThanksThanks Mel for the inspiration to lead a better life!

Neh57Dr. Wright, You & MeMel, the podcast with Dr. Wright was so insightful. As a person who has battled weight and that voice in my head telling me I am not good enough and more, this podcast gave me such hope-THANK YOU!!!! Also, thank you for adding more dates for your tour. I was able to get a ticket for May 2nd in Boston( unfortunately not the meet and greet but hopefully someday) and I just cannot wait! I have been following you for over a year and you have helped me beyond measure in so many aspects of my life-work, relationships and learning to love myself! I am truly grateful❤️
-
EJVM#Repetitive ad nauseamShe spends the first 17 minutes saying the same thing over and over again. Don’t waste your time.
-
adultchildpodcastJustice for Cassie PhillipsDo your research folks. Mel is at worst being dishonest about the inception story of her “let them” theory - or at best intentionally choosing to ignore Cassie Phillips, the author of the “Let Them” poem that she wrote in 2019 that went viral in 2022 - a year prior to Mel’s first mention of the term. When asked by The Guardian about this omission, she doubled down, implying it is “ancient wisdom”. She has also been using media appearances to reinforce the story that individuals began getting tattoos after reading her book. But, as I demonstrate see in my video, social media was full of Let Them tattoos long before Mel Robbins “discovered” the Let Them Theory.
-
nd.iowaLet them theoryI loved the idea of this and then realize it originated with a different content provider. Sorry Mel gotta unfollow you and hope you can find a way to get back onto the path of decency by giving credit where credit is due.

Ana_liuUselessSo much water in the speech, could be much more concise and informative

Ohio VickAwesome podcastI’m a new listener. I’ve learned so much about health, wellbeing & positivity. Mel is a ray of sunshine in my day. I’ve listened to podcasts for many year & her 2/27/25 episode with Jefferson Fisher really hit home and the only podcast I’ve saved. I’ve played it multiple times to leaned the easy, clear techniques for dealing with difficult people. Thank you so much! 😀

Bradyboy9000Needs to be a better hostThe guests are great! Topics are great! Mel talks too much and does not let her guests shine. She has to repeat things and dumb it down which is so condescending. I sometimes just turn it off and find the guest on another podcast. I like Mel in doses but she just needs to be a better listener. Ask the question and allow the guest to share without so much interference and needless explanation!!
-
laurashlaPlease don’t plagiarizeAs a person with zero knowledge in the clinical field of psychology or psychology and who lacks any medical degrees please stop over talking guests who who brought on, to boost yourself, take their knowledge as your own and therefore, grift. Also, give an apology and answer to the let them controversy that surrounds you, because now other podcasters who have had you on, and believed in you, are dealing with the repercussions you are responsible for.
-
Ramble much?Long WindedTakes entirely too long to get to the point.
-
Blueskies710Waste of TimeTried listening on how to take back my time. 7:30 in and still just rambling about how she’s going to talk about taking back your time. What a waste of time.
-
CeltsharkNo phone podcastI listened to her podcast about getting off my phone from my phone. I love her but I wish she get the point with less rambling and repeating
-
Jackpot1976Getting BloatedI really enjoy Mel's content, but the shows are getting too long for the information she's sharing. She winds up repeating the same thing over and over (and over) again. I understand repetition can help it sink in, but it has gotten a little out of control. We didn't need over an hour on setting boundaries with your phone.

mrsagudoLife changingAbout a month ago my sister shared one of your episodes it’s my mom and…took me a while to come around to listen but when I did I was upset I didn’t listen sooner. It’s taken me years to find a podcaster who can grab my attention every single time. All topics are informative and so helpful. I’ve now listened to several episodes and am always excited to check out a new one. I am forever grateful that my sister pointed me in your direction. Love you Mel!

CEverett1214Great content, selling tactics annoying and a turnoffNew to the podcast since Mel was a guest on several other podcasts I listen to. I think the content is so valuable- I have taken away so many great ideas. I find the ‘share this podcast’ plugs extremely grating and annoying. It makes me want to turn the episode off. Too much! If we find value in the episode we will naturally share. But not gonna do it if I feel beaten over the head with it.
