podcast my sides aches…i’ve only seen a couple episodes of melrose place but that doesn’t matter…when desi and rachel go off on a tangent, it’s hysterical… my left foot…my left eye…HA HA HA HA HA

I adore Desi and Rachel, but had never watched the show— this podcast got me binge watching the first 5 seasons. MP is unhinged, hilarious, campy material and they cover the show SO well. I love Rachel’s voices for all the characters and the comments on the 90’s zeitgeist and fashion trends.

Didn’t even watch melrose but this recap is still amazing

I think I must have rewound and re-listened to the totally hypothetical scenario of Billy eating wasabi and ruining dinner like a million times. And that’s not the only clip I’ve done that with. I could listen to these 2 read the labels off soup cans (actually that would make a really good podcast). One thing I’ve noticed is that with other podcasts and even TV shows, you have to wait awhile before the episodes start really hitting their groove, but Rachel and Desi just start producing gold right out of the gate. I don’t even watch MP except for a few eps while Bitchslap was on hiatus, to fill the void. And it’s like icing on the cake, but if I had to choose between watching the actual show and listening to these 2 crazy chicks, Bitchslap would win every time.

I’m a 71 year old woman who never watched Melrose Place and never will. You both crack me up! I listen because I love you guys and your friendship and interaction. I’d listen to you do anything. Thanks for the laughs.

10/10, came here from Hollywood Crime Scene and I’m watching Melrose Place for the first time. I feel like Rachel & Desi have the same sense of humor as me and they’re absolutely hilarious. I’m also loving watching these insane storylines with the crazy 90s guitar solos in the background

I started rewatching Melrose recently as a break from reality and couldn’t convince anyone I know to rewatch with me. So glad I found this hilarious podcast that points out all of the ridiculousness of this show. A fun listen and also their impersonations of the characters are spot on!

This show is hilarious, however. They used to give us two episodes a week, but now we’re lucky if we get two episodes a month. I almost gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of this, but I love Desi and Rachel too much to do that. Their other podcast True Hollywood Crime Scene is equally as great, and hilarious.

So I’ll just say I haven’t rewatched MP but I watched it all the first time around. I don’t need to rewatch it! Rachel and Desi are so much more fun to listen to. I love these ladies and found the show from Hollywood Crime Scene. So so funny. Just give them a listen!

This show is unhinged in the best way. The fan fiction they come up with about these characters is so much fun. Enjoy the train wreck that is Melrose with these girls.

These two are the perfect hosts for a MP rewatch, I try to listen before bed but I laugh too hard. Watching along with them (my first time) has become such a guilty pleasure, please do another trash 90’s series after this Update: Rachel’s voice work has really grown so much over the last 3 seasons of this, top tier listen, the details and things these two pick up on are so deep, I love it

I love this podcast, the voice acting for each of the characters is hilarious. My only beef is that you haven’t come back since you stopped for the writers strike. Hollywood Crime Scene is back so I’m wondering why this hasn’t come back yet.

I think I could listen to these two talk about anything, BUT this podcast is so hilarious! I have never even watched Melrose Place before but I love their original podcast, Hollywood Crime Scene, so I gave it a try, few months later now I’m watching the show religiously and desperately waiting for new pod episodes to drop! Love you ladies and keep dropping these episodes, they cannot come fast enough! **Edit** I need to know more about Billy in NYC 🤣I’ve listened to that spiel again and again🤣

You two have such wonderful banter, I feel like I’m chatting with my best friends from college even though we now live cross country from each other and are too old and too swallowed by marriage/kids/jobs/etc. to find time for each other like this. Please don’t cease this cast, even though I equally enjoy Hollywood Crime Scene- this one is such a light bit of distraction for a very busy life. I hope you get more and more followers on this cast as well as HCS- keep up the delightful work :-)

I’m addicted. I started rewatching Melrose on Paramount and realized I’d rather listen to this podcast than watch the show! It’s like watching with your girlfriends.

We watched this train wreck of a show religiously during its first run. Your recaps are fantastic! I listen on morning walks and people must think I’m insane for cry-laughing out of context. Desi and Rachel, if y’all ultimately decide to reboot Melrose with your own dialog, take all my money.

I love Hollywood Crime Scene, so obviously I gave this pod a try. I’ve never watched Melrose Place, but your episode breakdowns sold me on the show. I want to see it in all of its 90’s glory. *weird update* So, I finally started watching the show along with the episodes and I’m watching it on Amazon prime. Idk if it’s amazon or paramount or whoever, but as soon as the first episode started it said Rated 7+ lol weirdos

Update: this is still hilarious. I’ll be listening and realize I’m laughing and smiling the whole time. I know it’s a lot of work to put together episodes, but I need more than 2 a week haha. And just finished this week’s episodes, glad you are jumping into season 2 next week and aren’t leaving us hanging too long.

They can do better. They’re frankly smarter and funnier than this. You can still be slutty, campy, and on-brand with better bad shows. Don’t see this lasting long.

I love desi & rachels other podcast so it’s no surprise I love this one too! I’ve never seen melrose place before but I love listening to their recaps! Their anecdotes about each episode highlight what’s best about trashy dramatic soap operas and what questionable taste the set decorators had back in the 90s. Even if you don’t plan on watching the show, you’ll enjoy listening to each episode!!

I used to love watching Melrose Place. That was “event” TV at my house. I have never had time to rewatch the old episodes, so hearing the summaries provided by Rachel and Desi are just so fun to listen to. Thanks for making my days at work a little more fun ladies.

I have not watched Melrose Place since it originally aired but Desi and Rachel’s recaps help me to remember everything insane I loved about the show, and Rachel’s Sandy impression cracks me up every time.
