I’ve been listening since the start of the podcast and love hearing my royal news every week with Lex and Sam. I also love the way they draw in pop culture and reality tv. I really hope they return to weekly episodes to keep me current on all things royal and reality royal tv! 💔

I’ve been listening from the beginning and Lex and Sam’s playful banter and insightful takes get me through the weekly grind. Sad that I wont get to have this in my weekly rotation anymore.

I really hope Lex & Sam make another podcast together about NON royal related things I love them both their vibe, their voices and their chemistry. They are both so nuanced love ‘em sad it’s over. But I have to say it’s actually their non royal talks that I will miss because I don’t believe in monarchy I don’t believe in calling a grown adult “queen” or “king” but I loved hearing these two it also helped that there were things they found silly as well. I loved that they always called what was wrong about royals. I liked their vibe and found their voices soothing especially in the morning on the go. I really hope they make another podcast! 😫

Bummed this is going on hiatus

great chemistry … so excited over a royals podcast. wondering if this is a mm fandom though. not sure how I felt about the criticism of kate’s dress or style. mm is known for wearing neutrals, not sure how bright colors from kate means she is emulating mm. kate has always had impeccable style. otherwise, enjoyed it. surprised at the low ratings… I have liked the episodes a lot more now that they seem to be looking at all view points & not so biased. as a person who was excited to have mm in royal family, she has an almost unlikable quality about her. we cannot over look her making people call her duchess, wanting the fame from the royal titles but not wanting to do the work or time. I also don’t want them to divorce and hope they can find their way back to royal duties. harry shined there.

Used to be better, I wish they talked more about other Royal Families not just the British Monarchy… repetitive

As H&M can attest to—the Royals can bring out ALL the hate and vitriol. This is a great pod and the unscripted banter isn’t for everyone but like it or not this is the dumb banter people have. If you don’t like it—just move on. Why does it bother you so much? Just find a different podcast lol

Like do you like realise like how often you like say like to get like ONE like structured and like coherent sentence out for like your POINT? OMG! It’s insulting. Your repetitive use of like is lazy and frankly too distracting. It’s sounds like you’re two 12 yo.

I love how they notice EVERYTHING about the royals and can have an in-depth discussion that is also fun and refreshingly honest.

These two speak like high school valley girls, they sound so immature and idiotic, Seriously, do your research on the happenings of the Windsors and the Sussexes etc before recording the podcast episode, I have never heard so much misinformation and stop repeating everything you read out of the tabloids.

I found out about this podcast when Elizabeth Holmes shared her guest episode and really enjoyed it. However, it’s become clear that the hosts don’t do much, if any, research before recording. For example, in a June 2023 episode, they talked about how it would be a great idea for Harry to do an Invictus Games documentary for Netflix. In reality, Heart of Invictus was announced in 2021 and is slated to premiere this summer. It’s a shame because I do enjoy some of their commentary, but it’s hard to overlook the glaring lack of informed preparation.

Love it for a fair and casual catch up on all things royal. I find most podcasts about royalty to be much too serious and stuffy, but this royal podcast is nothing like that. And to the haters- touch (commoner) grass. Even though some of you have parasocial relationships with Kate, Meg, etc, they will never thank you for defending them in these reviews, so live a little and have some fun!

Meh and that’s probably being generous. This is not a particularly well informed or entertaining Podcast. If you want a genuinely interesting and informative discussion of the Royal Family check out LadyAudaci-Tea.

I want to like this podcast but Samantha still clearly has a racism issue and her hate towards Meghan it JUMPS OUT. No one has to like Meghan and there many reasons why people just don’t like her. But it’s wild to see a woman whose obsessed with white girls like Kim Kardashian, Bethany from NYC, or even Ramona from NYC, all white woman with explicit past and present issues with racism, who exploit people to make the most money, and I’ve never seen this sort of passion from her about any of them. Also. Kim K literally produced one season for the same amount of money for an exclusive Spotify deal. 😭 ma’m please do some research. A filtered celeb?! THATS NEVER been heard of. 😭😭😭 A literal producer correct this story and you guys are sitting here using the spectator, a right-wing media, as your source. PLEASE do better.

I have no complaints about the conversational tone, it’s enjoyable. But when these hosts said they were royal obsessed I thought they’d know more…just so many mess ups, very little research on easy things to Google. Literally saying what do eugenie and Beatrice do…when they both have jobs and it’s on their Wikipedia page. One episode they said repeatedly Kate went to Eton to meet William, and Charles gave the duke of Edinburgh title to Andrew. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but all the mistakes and obvious gaps kinda just have me (not someone who follows the every royal move but has a basic knowledge) dying to correct their mistakes every time or explain the simple answers to their questions. Please do any research. I listen to a lot of Betches podcasts and I expect conversation and pop culture, but not blatant misstatements constantly. Even the pop culture Betches podcasts are better researched.

I listen because it’s fun background noise, but they really aren’t well informed on how the royals work or any of the protocols/traditions. They basically just read tabloid stories, then talk about them without any research on the back stories.

After listening to these nitwits for 30 seconds, these are two ignorant people who ship TSwift and plan outfits for likes. They may have a podcast, but it doesn’t mean y’all need to listen or accept anything they say or sources they cite as fact. As I said, ignorant and the fact they compare a baby to reality tv stars says a lot about who they are as researchers. Ladies, is it a wonder you have a 3.4 rating? Like, learn how to pronounce the names of like your subjects before you record and, like, love the fun facts you share. If you’re wearing white cowboy boots you should not comment on royal wardrobes.

At first I was excited for a more pop culture/American, less reverent podcast on the royals but your lack of research or basic knowledge shown over time really dampens things. “Like why is Harry doing this? I just like don’t understand his thinking and there’s definitely no internet machine I could go to and like look up what he’s said about it to understand his reasonings. I’ll just go on and on about how I just like don’t understand. It’s so like weird.” 🤡

sure this isn’t the most historically accurate royal podcast but for people who are interested in the royals in a passing way, and actually understand the vibe of a Betches podcasts, I think you two are getting better every week! People can come here for what it is or complain and go elsewhere

I rarely write reviews but when I noticed all of the 1 star reviews I had to do some reading and man clearly some people are missing the tone of the hosts. Neither of them claim to have a biographical knowledge ether royal families so if that’s what you’re looking for then this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for some light gossiping, humorous opinions and just a general idea of royal happenings then this is a great option for you. Their latest episode with Elizabeth Holmes had a conversation that perfectly sums up many of these bad reviews, our society has developed into an all or nothing attitude towards who you like. If you say you like Harry and Meghan than you must hate William and Kate and so forth. It’s ridiculous how seriously some people take this stuff.

If you like podcasts about the royals there are so many better options than this one. Both hosts seem to lack any real knowledge about the royal family past or present. Do they do any research or prep for this pod?? Their annoying use of the word “like” in almost every sentence makes them so difficult to listen to. And when they don’t know what to say (which happens with alarming frequency) they just throw an f-bomb. It’s like they just took too random Valley girls off the street and asked them to do a podcast. Don’t waste your time with this one!

Overall, I love this podcast! The host make every episode fun, upbeat, and informative on the latest gossip! I really do think they try to be unbiased. However, there are many historical inaccuracies. This is something mentioned in the comments frequently from the beginning. So, I’m not sure why it’s still happening. Also, I was not a fan of the “Exta Extra” episode. It was not fun, upbeat, and was very bias. Maybe I would’ve like it more if it was Sam & Alex. Either way please don’t do another episode like that. I listen for the fun tea… not a dissertation.

The secondhand embarrassment I have from this podcast is visceral. There is little to no research, few historical accuracies (or interest in leaning about them) and is presented mostly as opinion with significant bias. Both hosts have terrible mouths, but also use words like “funner.” It also seems like they kind of hate the royals. Was no one else at Betches available to do this podcast? They seem so put out by having to talk about the royals. Especially recently in the episode about royal finances. If they bother you, pick a different topic. There is space for everyone in the podcast game. Lastly, the misinformation on this pod can be super annoying to real royal fans. However. This pod and it’s abhorrent hosts use some pretty hostile talk about their subject. Hearing them refer to Charles as a case of “bullying works” was hard to hear.

The ladies need to do their homework. The vibe is, “I read an article about the Royal Family and now I’m qualified to host a podcast about them!” Cases in point: - Zara Tindall can’t lose her title. SHE DOESN’T HAVE A TITLE. Princess Anne (famously) refused titles for her kids. - Andrew is already gone — he’s no longer a senior royal and no longer representing the family. The conversation about “does Charles want to slim down the monarchy to get Andrew out” was so laughably bad. The whole “slimmed-down monarchy” convo was treated as breaking news, more or less, when Charles has been advocating for that for years. - Princess Anne didn’t “shade” Charles in her recent convo about slimming down the monarchy. See above. - The “German royal family” took away their sons’ titles. What?!? … and on and on. It’s great to be amusing, but a host also needs to be knowledgeable. The ladies are not.

So many inaccuracies and I just couldn’t stand their voices. Sorry girls, nope.

I like the hosts and their dynamic, BUT the lack of general knowledge around the royal family is sometimes painful to listen to. For example, not understand what a queen consort is, not understanding that having a title doesn’t not automatically equal being a working royal. Overall, the lack of historical background the two hosts have make some of their opinions really difficult to listen to. Please do a crash course in royal history, it will make this podcast 1000% better.

This podcast is painful to listen to. I unfollowed, would be much better without Sam. She is uneducated on all topics.

I love listening to this podcast - the hosts do their research and also talk about their own views. It’s great! There are a few culture oversights but that’s ok. For example, they called procedures ‘proddys’ multiple times which is a derogatory term in the UK and Ireland. And one host wasn’t aware of Take That. Found it amusing though and overall an entertaining podcast. Recommend.

This podcast horrible. If your interested in pure opinion and not fact, this podcast is for you. If your going speak about the royal family, study royal protocol and know that before you form ignorant opinions. You both just really come off as of ignorant Americans and it’s embarrassing to the rest of us.

Ok….its been a while since I actually wrote a review but…All of these ppl leaving 1 star reviews are taking this podcast a little more seriously than I believe it’s meant to be taken! I LOVE Lex and Sam together, and I don’t mind the small inaccuracies because to me, this is a gossip type, CASUAL podcast covering Royal stuff. This is not an audio textbook. I am not super into Royal stuff but if you’re like me and you like hearing about other’s real life messy drama because it makes you feel better about your own life 😅 - this podcast is for you. Sure I know that the lack of titles for Megan and Harry’s kids was not a personal slight to them but you know what? That’s not how it was framed in the media and even by Megan soooo can you really blame them for having the wrong snarky take? I don’t think so. Love these two, they both have pleasant sounding voices and amazing banter! Sound quality and production is perfect, I also love the intro/outro music and cute segment names. Keep going Girlies! 😘

Too many F bombs and way too much of a love fest for Harry and Meghan - who have done absolutely nothing to inspire or make the world a better place. Won’t listen to this podcast again.

I enjoy your show, finding the 2 hosts hilarious and deliciously gossipy. However, some facts are not correct: “Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's children can now technically be referred to as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Traditionally, the title change is an automatic right with the ascension of a new monarch.” It could only happen after the Queen passed, so it’s not favoritism for Prince William’s kids because they are directly in line, not Harry’s kids. Also, King Charles recently donated £1 billion to the country from his wind farm personal profits. In addition, he is the sole heir from the Queen’s inheritance, but Prince William inherited about £1 billion from his father for the Duchy of Cornwall estate.

The level of disinformation in this podcast is alarming. William on particular should sue if he could. Wow. Google read a book ladies. I judge Americans poorly after listening to this ladies

I reallllllllyyyyyy was excited to hear this podcast until I heard the Sussex talk. Can’t stand them, they deserve nothing and the fact that they’d have the NERVE to DEMAND one single THING is mind blowing!!

They gloss over colonization to have vapid gossip. Get a grip of the times! Read of the horrors and atrocities these billionaire families continue to profit from today. The British crown has never apologized for participating in the slave trade, branding of humans, profiting from enslaved people worldwide! The racial and class system affecting millions bc of the fairy tale fantasies of royals. Even Diana wanted to destroy it and focus on the people! This show needs to be cancelled. It’s embarrassing especially when nations are choosing to become republics, you know INDEPENDENCE. Stop glamorizing historical war crime families

Love the podcast! I think you guys should read the place papers that came in 2021. I feel like it’s a very fair book talking about all members of a royal family in fair way. I also found many interesting facts that I didn’t know. Like Diana’s butler who is always on the news is hated by her family and was accused is stealing her belongings after she died.

There are just basics they can Google to know what they are talking about and don’t. If you can’t even have a basic researcher on staff to confirm your talking points what’s the point in this podcast? Another lame spinoff from Betches for Bowes’s and clicks no substance.
