Should be part of everyone’s first aid kit
Interesting and current information for wilderness travelers, climbers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Research-based and supplemented with practical, real-world observations, I have learned a lot to help my Ski Patrol activities and general outdoor emergency preparedness. Great stuff.

    Great information
As a first year Ski Patroller I have been digesting as much wilderness/first responder medical information as possible. I find this podcast to be well organized with easy to follow and retain information. Thank you for providing us with thoughtful and informative content.

Great Pod For Medical Pros (and wannabe-pros)
This is one (if of not the best) wilderness medicine-based podcasts. Love the focus on practical applications, real world scenarios, helpful hypotheticals, and a focus on matrix/evidence based decision making. Keep it up! Can’t wait to see where it goes. Especially love the new Avy series—would love further deep dives such as pressure Illness (bends, altitude, etc), heat illness, parasites, interviews with other educators/providers (the current have been great), or drownings etc. P.S. I’m not a doc/pro. I’m just obsessed with wilderness and austere medicine.

    Informative and Realistic!
Patrick’s info is spot on, relevant, and delivered with an eye toward practicality. He’s also very funny.
