My favorite girls in the whole world. Even if you don’t read you should listen to this podcast!!!!

I LOVE IRWSR! Watching their episodes feels like I’m sitting in the room with them just chatting about our books! I love that they dont always have the same opinion as each other! Plus they have the cutest merch ever.

The Favorites book review episode I was expecting to get a spoiler discussion of what happened in the book… instead we get constant comparisons to other books, opinions on how the book was written, reading reviews from fable (I can go read those myself), and redundant statements about tropes y’all don’t like in books. Two different instances I remember thinking to myself, “they already said this earlier in the episode” 🙄Ugh, talk about the book!! I feel like only 10% of this episode was actually talking about the contents of this book, but was mostly the things you hated about it. Unfollowing.

I’ve listened to a few episodes and they rate their books 4+stars but it’s a bit confusing because they say more negative things than positive.

I’ve listened to this for a few months now and can’t stand the lack of structure. It feels like no one preps for their talking points, so when asked a question the answer has to pulled out of thin air. All of it leads to lack of depth and nothing to takeaway about the book(s) that are being highlighted.

New listener, big fan of the instagram, and it’s fun to get more in-depth thoughts on books here!

I’ve been listening to the podcast for a while and do enjoy it, but as an avid podcast listener (especially book related podcasts), I desperately need these episodes to be more structured (talking points, set discussions, weekly segments, a set time limit for each episode, etc.) and please edit the technically difficulties and silent pauses out… You all are so fun and I know this podcast could be really great!

I wish they took better notes to prepare. Not really interesting hearing them talk about books when they can’t even remember the details.

No enunciation when speaking. They sound entirely bored to be talking to each other. And - the worst part - is they speak rumors and speculation as truths. Really cold takes… unsubscribe

These girls are so fun!! I don’t always read the same genres they read, but I just LOVE listening to their book chatter and agree 90% of the time with their opinions. Give them a listen, you won’t regret it.

So I found this podcast thru insta and so far I have really liked it. It definitely helps my day go by faster at work and it makes me feel good that there is someone out there that I get to listen to that likes the same books and can actually talk about it because no one around me reads.🤍

I recently found this podcast! I usually hate podcasts or get annoyed by some— but THIS was FUN 😂 they keep onto the track of book related talk! And also just fun and relatable talking! I listen to this as I draw and to get me excited to read so thanks so much! I HIGHLY recommend listening!

I have been listening to the pod since the beginning! I think it’s really great and I enjoy the conversations. My only constructive criticism after listening to the Funny Story episode: - please please please get new mics or somehow move it further from your mouth lol I can hear the mouth noises/smacking and it really deters from the conversation and I have to turn it off sometimes lol - come prepaaaared lol I think it would be better for your listeners if there was more of a pre-show effort put in! Sometimes it sounds like you all don’t really want to record the book club episodes. Let’s get some enthusiasm!! - lastly, with funny story, it could take you 26, 34, or 50 years to figure out your relationships with your parents - it was a little privileged to hear Mikayla not understand why Daphne hadn’t figured it out yet. Without that subplot, you wouldn’t understand why Daphne is who she is. :( Again ALL love - just honest thoughts from a dedicated listener!

I love this podcast so much - it’s like listening to your friends. I get good book recommendations & overall it’s so fun to listen to. My only constructive criticism: pleaseeee get new mics or editing software! Sometimes I have to turn the episode off because of the loud noises, smacking & breathing - I just can’t handle it. 😭 Other than that it’s so fun & I highly recommend 🤍🫶🏻📖

The hosts seem nice but the episodes I listened to were all over the place. There was no structure and the conversation was shallow.

Truly look forward to this podcast every week. I would love to see more episodes discussing a specific book! I read one dark window because of the podcast and am currently reading the second one and I’d love to listen to an episode on it.

The format of this podcast is terrible. The stopping mid sentence, long pauses and “like” is frustrating. One of the hosts seems like she doesn’t want to be podcasting. I don’t recommend this podcast to anyone.

Last year I really got back into reading and I always knew where to go for my next book recommendations! Even just the range in genre picked for book of the month has pushed me! I love reading along with the girls!

This is my go to book podcast to listen too. I absolutely love listening to them, they are just precious people. These girls show the love and excitement that comes with reading and they make it so easy to feel it with them. I recommend them to everyone!!

I love this podcast and will never stop recommending it to friends!! Because that’s what Reggie, Mikayla, and Kennedy feel like— you’re talking to friends about your favorite books!! And yes you may have different opinions or thoughts about a book, but people are never going to 100% agree on everything! I think they deliver a very casual, easy to listen to podcast that cover some of the most popular books for young people these days!! I love that they aren’t focused on one genre and they always choose a book of the month to read and review!! Will never stop recommending!! *also their merch is super cute and I can’t wait for more!!

I definitely look forward to every Wednesday and not because it’s only halfway through the week but because I get to listen to this :) ANWAY love this community and these girls and so glad I get to hear that other people are as delusional as me when it comes to fictional worlds and people hahah

I love this group of women and their take on a book podcast! It truly feels like you’re just hanging out together talking about books with your friends. I love that they each have their own taste and thoughts but never condescend each other for having a different opinion. Highly recommend for a chill, fun time. ❤️

Love love love this podcast, I look forward to listening every week and follow the monthly books religiously! The girls are super funny and have good chemistry. I am typically giggling like an idiot to myself while I drive around at work listening to this pod!🤣 there are times when they interrupt each other or change subjects onto a random tangent, or have random bits of silence and I’m totally like yall could edit that out haha but other than that it’s pretty good and really authentic

I love this podcast, & coming from someone who read 430 books in 2023, these ladies know what’s up! Kennedy, Reggie, & Mikayla are so fun to listen to, and so nice when I’ve DMed them with book questions on insta! 1. I love being a part of their bookclub and then listening to each month’s book review. It’s so satisfying to listen to someone talk about a book you’ve just read! Getting new insight, opinions, and even theories is the best! 2. They have THE CUTEST book merch seriously, I have a t-shirt & sweatshirt from IRWSR and get compliments on them both! 3. This “book podcast” actually talks about books! I know right? Crazy! Some of the other book podcasts I’ve tried listening to end up talking about completely irrelevant things, when really I’m just trying to hear about books and what people are reading. IRWSR is always reliable for legitimate book content! Love you guys!

This is the best. I started getting back into reading last year and trying to find what I like. Turns out, it’s fantasy romance! I trust these ladies and their reviews. Once I heard them talk about ACOTAR I was like alright- let’s do it. Now I am sucked into the Massiverse, and NOT mad about it at all. Anyways love your reviews and relate so much to them. Also, now that I know about Libby and Spotify audiobooks, it’s such a game changer. Thank you ladies!!

I tried to like this podcast, but it’s not good. A personal problem for me was that it’s a lot of talk about series and fantasy which I’m not into. The problem really lies with the format, and the immaturity of the podcasters. They talk so slow and pause mid sentence so much that I think my app stopped working. And the audio quality either isn’t good, or they don’t speak close enough to the mic. Sorry ladies.

I wanted to like this podcast. But it was bad. Unprofessional, immature and simple. If you want to listen to “umm” “uhh” “like” or just empty background. Be my guest. It literally sounds like they did Mary J and are hit record.

Not everyone who wants to host a podcast should host a podcast. No format, just babbling, lots of umms and ahhs, covering your most basic of TikTok Booktok recs, YA romance, etc etc. Hosts would benefit from taking a break from recording and sitting together to nail down a great format and segments. This just sounds like a bunch of kids blabbering.

I hope so because it is the perfect description of this podcast. They sound so ditzy and I would never trust their opinion of a book. How many times can someone say “like” or giggle for no reason? Listen and find out.

Literally the most negative podcast I’ve ever listened to. I’ve given them so many episodes to redeem for me but they just dish out some strongggg negative opinions. I feel like some of it is from trying to stand apart from other content creators

This is the best book-related podcast I’ve listened to so far. I don’t have any friends who love to read so It feels like I’m hanging out with my book besties. My fav episodes are the book/series review episodes. I’m a huge TOG girl so I love that they love TOG too. (Shout out MiKayla, I also cried when you were talking about TOG and were crying) I wish I could hang out with y’all in real life so I’d have people to talk about books with
