I’m out. I agree that the old show format wasn’t working—there wasn’t any chemistry between the hosts and one of them (Renee) just didn’t know anything about baseball. But the new format, where Tyler just talks at us for an hour, is somehow worse. He doesn’t have a compelling persona and his monologues are not well-written. (Tyler, trying to use a bunch of big words you don’t understand doesn’t make you sound smart.) I’d give it another try if you guys found Tyler a co-host with a bit of personality. But this isn’t working for me. P.S.: Go listen to the PHLY Eagles Show instead. It’s the gold standard for sports podcasting.

I love Tyler, he’s great, but the solo gig just isn’t it. He needs someone else. These 4-10 minute episodes aren’t it. Don’t get why he couldn’t just join Jamie instead of Renee.

Not sure why the previous format had to change, really enjoyed the daily shows even when there was nothing to talk about; just listening to the three of you guys talk about the Phillies or anything else was fun. I do hope the shows will be daily during the season. Now onto the new show, I listened to Tyler since the radio days as a producer and host, he is really smart and clearly loves baseball. I do wish the show felt a little bit more fun though. Maybe it would help to get a beat writer again and you guys could talk more about the going ons of the clubhouse etc. Listening, especially on 1.5-2x speed due to limited time to listen, with all the numbers being rattled off just sounds like noise. I do enjoy deep diving the numbers, but some of the advanced stuff doesn’t mean anything to me. Maybe have a series of short videos explaining what the acronyms are and how they translate to on the field results. You could go over the top players in the league in each category and talk about why the numbers back up what you see or vice versa. Overall it’s great that the show continues as I really enjoy PHLY and having all sports in one place is awesome. With a few tweaks I think the show could be better than ever!

I’ve been searching for an informative Phillies podcast for years now and love this new format with Tyler. Informative talk from someone who loves this team but isn’t just a fan spouting emotion or opinions. The schedule will be the perfect amount for quality content.

I listen to sports podcasts because I don’t want to listen to sports talk radio and this show is just sports talk radio without callers. Not for me.

Love the pod, but the ads are overkill. I know every pod has them, but there are way too many on every single episode.

You have to be pretty bad to be worse than Jamie but Renee certainly achieved that, they’re both so clueless about everything geez, Jamie’s a weirdo and renee is just clueless and so cringey, no clue why they have her on like every show. Don’t come to this pod if you want any smart insight on anything

LOL at Tyler’s argument against Chase Utley to not be in the hall of fame. Chase was the best 2nd baseman of our generation

I think it’s a good pod. Renee isn’t bad at all, she is a professional, but I think it’s obvious she doesn’t know much about baseball.. which is fine but I think she could excel more on a different PHLY podcast. Jamie is entertaining and is a good voice for the typical/rational Phillies fan. I like it, I just think it has potential to be better with a real knowledgeable baseball guy/girl next to Jamie.

The new PHLY Sports podcasts are loaded with the best radio personalities Philly has to offer. 5/5 stars!

This feels like a WIP show without callers and without the extra fluff. There’s nothing wrong with that at all, and the opinions are always close to how I’m feeling about the team so it’s easy to commiserate or celebrate

I have to say, ever since PHLY formed I’ve been following and listening to all the podcasts, visiting the site for all the Philly news I need and I love it. This is probably the best Phillies podcast out right now (and there are some pretty good ones). Highly recommend
