First off the show is great. I just came back after a 8 year hiatus.When I came back I searched for a podcast to assist me in understanding the changes since my guild had died. listen to all new episodes and between I have been listening to older episodes.I have noticed there has been a lot of comments from older shows point out things that happen in future expacs. Example show 439 the person you were interviewing said Delve many times. The episode was 5 years prior to TWW. I also noticed you guys mentioned something about Dragon-isles around legion to BFA. There have been comments you 2 have made in the past episodes that have happened in future expacs.

I started listening to Spencer and Jason when I came back to Warcraft during dragonflight. I used to be a semi hard-core raider back in WotLK, but now spend my Warcraft time playing very casual world content. I’ve never touched a mythic+, but since listening to these guys discuss mythic dungeons, raid tuning, class tuning, makes it not feel as intimidating. Their expertise and knowledge come through in a very well, and thoughtful delivery that has allowed me to feel confident enough to give Mythic a shot. I’m new to world of Warcraft and was looking for a good podcast to help increase my knowledge about the game. Since I am newer to the game not everything they talked about I understood which is okay because I will eventually get there. Overall I thought the podcast was great and I can easily give it 5 stars, the guys knew their stuff and seem to have a lot of experience in the game. Highly recommend this and will now be tuning in every time a new show is up.

I found this podcast this year as dragonflight was coming to a close. I have listened to other wow podcasts over the years but none of them are as succinct as you guys! Truly easy to follow for novice and veteran (I’ve been playing religiously since WOTLK) players alike and helps me guide my weekly playtime. A pitfall for a lot of other podcasts are that they sound elitist and that is a turn off to the casual players. You guys are passionate and knowledgeable and it keeps me listening from start to finish every week. Keep up the great work!

As someone who’s been ramping back into my love of the game since Dragonflight, I was looking for content to consume and I stumbled in here. I so fell in love with the way they analyzed the important items of the week that I immediately subscribed and became a patron! I have only been playing WoW since launch of DF and played until end of Season 1, picked back up during Emerald dream and now during TWW. Love it so far! I try to do as much as I can as far as Dungeon and Raiding goes, I’ve only done keys once and made it to +9. I’ve only ever LFR’d raids and would absolutely love to get into the extreme stuff the game has to offer. Need a Guild to join because none of my friends play. Anyways, great show guys love listening every week on my commute to work!

As a player returning from last playing in Cataclysm, I really appreciate the show. It helps get me up to speed on the goings on without having to be reading WoWhead or reddit all day. It was a great help in getting back up to speed the last few months and has me really excited for TWW

I listen to the Starting Zone almost every week. It always delivers high quality content that helps to inform the player base. While I don’t always agree with some of the opinions on the game, they deliver well reasoned and thoughtful commentary that helps me understand other parts of the player base. This podcast gives good information on weekly wow going one. If you’re looking for update on the Boston Celtics or New York Yankees this is not the podcast for you, but if you want WOW information give this show a listen.

Been listening since BFA (expect Shadowlands because I happily skipped that entire xpac) and this show never feels to make my week better. Spencer and Jason’s advice is effective for every kind of player from the first day casual to 19 year raiders. It always helps me figure out what activities are available and how I should spend my time depending on both what rewards I want and how much time I have. This show has probably saved me more time than Wowhead at this point. Thanks for making this overly complicated game much more approachable. Loktar O’gar!

Great show guys! I am a newer listener and this show has been perfect place to catch up on the weekly wow news. As a more casual player nowadays it is nice to be kept up to speed on what’s happening in SOD and retail.

I’m a longtime player since BC, but was more a casual player than a “raider” until recently. I stumbled upon this podcast about a year ago. I WISH I knew about this podcast sooner! I look forward to its release every week and use it to plan for what I want to accomplish in the game for the week. The guys provide a lot of information that is useful no matter your skill level, commitment level, or play style - they cover it all. If you like World Of Warcraft, you’ll really enjoy listening to Jason and Spencer. You guys are great, please keep it up!

I am a player just like your wife who loves to play solo and I really felt like your comments this week were so on the nose for a lot of people who don’t always feel comfortable in the group content or have trouble committing time to it. I found The Starting Zone last year just before Dragonflight. Shieldwalled and SpencerHD are wonderful hosts. The information and storytelling of their own experiences has helped me to understand many aspects of the game. It is easy to get overwhelmed at the immensity of the World of Warcraft. The Starting Zone gives me ideas to work on, new perspectives to the game, and direction on how to spend my limited gaming time. As a player who was on and off again with many expansions since the beginning of the game, I believe being connected to TSZ has increased my own enjoyment of all the game has to offer. I’m a returning WOW player. I stopped during WoD. I came back almost a year ago. Upon return I searched out a podcast that might keep me more up to date without having to read boring data sheets. This podcast was more than I could have expected. The positivity that comes out of this podcast is amazing. It’s great to hear from players that enjoy playing the game. There’s usually so much negativity on forums and other podcasts. And even things that they might not like isn’t dwelled or harped upon and I love that. Hands-down the most informative podcast available for WoW. Not only are Spencer and Jason extremely well-spoken and articulate, but they also give extremely objective commentary on the latest happenings/changes/etc. They are serious enough that the podcast doesn’t come off as a joke, but light-hearted enough that it isn’t dry or bland. If i could only listen to one WoW podcast, this would be it! I’m a career noob Dwarven BM Hunter since vanilla, but I’m screwing it up less for folks in instances ever since I began listening to TSZ! I’ve been listening to the podcast for a long time now and I always enjoy the practical discussions that Spencer and Jason have around the game and the tips that they offer on a week to week basis. They help me understand what is worth spending my time on to make the most out of the time that I have to play the game. I’m a father with a pretty demanding job so finding time is tough but when I do I am more prepared and can make the most of the time that I have. When I picked it back up in 2020, the first thing I did was look this up again and to my surprise, it had new hosts! I was super happy with what I found and have been listening again ever since. Spencer does an amazing job to bring you info and keep the show fun. Jason has some good tactics. That being said Jason is a walking contradiction don’t take anything he says too seriously as he will walk it back and change it 180. Overall if you need some quick what’s going on you can get it here, skip the rest.

I really enjoy Spencer and Jason’s weekly update about what’s going on in World of Warcraft. TSZ has been around forever, and they’ve clearly mastered the format of providing helpful and interesting information for players. Listening to TSZ is a comforting experience. It’s something you know you can depend on. It’s a warm fire in the hearth after coming in from the bitter Northrend cold. It’s an ice-cold Moonberry Juice after a morning of questing in Darnassus. Started playing a couple years ago, and coming across TSZ was a big help. I didn’t know some of the information they were covering at first, but the approachable way it was covered made me more interested and gave me starting points to research online. The topics covered here help me feel like I’m using my game time wisely, and even made me comfortable enough to stretch out and start playing with others in group and mythic content, rather than just sticking to solo play. Spencer and Jason produce a methodical and professional podcast covering everything you need to know about current retail WoW. The format of the show informs you the current events, changes and points of interests to help you get the very best experience out of your World of Warcraft playing time. They don’t shy on their opinions and will give advice and suggestions on how to maximize your time in Azeroth. I highly recommend to download an episode and find out for yourself…just don’t blame me if you get addicted!

Spencer and Jason consistently deliver the most thorough, professional and inviting podcast you can find in the WoW community. As an aging Wow player who has dipped in and out of the game since vanilla it’s been difficult to find a podcast that doesn’t treat the listener as a lifelong hardcore player. TSZ mostly spends its time exploring current content but regularly includes information on great niche content from past expansions that a returning player may have missed out on. Lastly, if you’ve been frustrated by the juvenile tone of other WoW podcasts, Jason and Spencer are always adult, respectful and know how to treat the more serious news topics appropriately. This is my favorite podcast every week and I am so appreciative of the time and energy both hosts obviously put into it. Thank you!

I’ve recently returned to wow after being gone since cataclysm. Sooo much has changed since I use to play. I really enjoy listening to these two. They have really helped me so when I can play wow,I’m not so lost feeling. I’ve never made it really into end game content and I don’t get to play as much as I wish I could: so they explaining what’s coming up next and what to look for helps me utilize my time with more playing and less having to research so much.
