I find goshen to be hilarious in his efforts to get the doctor to be with him. This show is amazing, a well done fan made series.

This podcast has a epic introduction and I must admit that Chief Burt “Hard” Knox can be without honor occasionally but he makes me chuckle every once in a while and now I must say q’apla my Star Trek fan brethren wherever you and whatever honorable house you are a honorable child of q’apla

Even better than "official" Star Trek
Excellent Star Trek - as good as or better than the official ones. Hard to believe it's fan fiction. Interesting stories, great dialog and characters, great music and sound scape. Huge cast. Professional quality voice actors. Several "leads", including multiple strong female characters. Entire extended scenes with just female characters. Everyone has depth and fascinating back stories. Unexpected twists. Looking forward to anything else this group does.

    Truly miss this show!
This was some of the best Star Trek fan fic ever produced. Great quality from the writing to voice acting to sound to production. A+. I’d love to see them get the support they need to resume the show again.

    Amazing Star Trek!
As a newcomer to Beyond, but a die hard lifelong fan of all things Trek, Star Trek Beyond scratches the itch that all Trek fans feel. Very well Done!

    Absolutely Amazing
This series is fantastic! I am completely hooked. If I lived close to the conventions I would attend their live shows. Thank you for what you all do! Update October 2022. I’m listening to outpost again. I’m so glad that the audio drama is still going on!

    Absolutely phenomenal
I’m listening to outpost for the 2nd time after listening to on the low end go 50+ other audio dramas looking for something as enjoyable as outpost, and there is a lot of good one out there many different genres that Iv liked. I must say my self never being much a stat tracker fan I have gone on to watch the TV series and some may say I’m a bit of a Trekkie. The voice acting sound scape and story are top notch. I only wish there were 100 more episodes to keep my binge going.

    Yes... just... yes
Not gonna lie doctor Winston do be giving me some major doctor crusher vibes. It’s nice. While it was hard occasionally to hear during fight scenes, it just added to the realism😩👏💙much love and hope everyone who was part of this project is doing well!🥰🫂✨ -Tili M. Prosova

    On re-listen, it’s really sexist.
The female characters advance and act at the whims of men. The ones that don’t fail constantly. The show spends a TON of time trying to make stories around these... puppets. I’m seeing this pattern a lot more in AD’s lately. Lots of talk about equality, but the girls operate at the whims of men or fail constantly. Odd thing.

    Fascinating
I’ve been a fan for a couple years now and listened through a couple of times. The stories are interesting and fully feel like a real Star Trek adventure. The main players are likable and fleshed out. The cast and crew has done a sophisticated and fun fan production. As a fan of all incarnations of trek, I feel this is right at home in cannon. Thank you all for your hard work.

    Give me my Space Telenovelas
This has become my go-to podcast as I wander through my neighborhood, zone out on the stair machine at the gym, and cook. It’s a wonderful engaging show and a great distraction when driving to the extent it soothes one’s road rage. Great character development. Excellent use of tying things together well and amazing all around cast. Thank you!

    Pretty Solid Show
A solid production, though one best reserved for those fully engrossed in the world of Star Trek. The production quality for a fan-based endeavor is remarkable and any fan will recognize many audio cues from earlier series. While the plot is well done and generally well acted, there are still a number of groan-worthy cliches spread throughout the episodes. Fortunately, my capacity for suspending disbelief with regard to Star Trek is substantial, so I've managed to listen to every episode and I will be back for any future ones.

My first audio drama ever, and it got me hooked.
This show was my first experience with audio dramas, and it ensured that it wouldn’t be my last. This show is amazing, with a dedicated cast and crew.

    Best trek ever
So I got into trek after Orville came out. I loved Orville and wanted more. I watched all of the trek shows and movies in about 10-11 months. I since have been rewatching the tv shows. Well I wanted more trek but not the same old trek and I came across outpost. I listened to the first episode and was hooked. That was 3 weeks ago. It is a well played out series. I loved every episode only a few were slow but they were necessary to set up for later episodes. My only complaint is i have no more to listen to. I hope there will be a refocus on this show and it will pump out more episodes at a faster pace. But I am sure 3 new episodes a week would still not be enough. Writing is spot on. Voice acting is great. Sound effects to me were perfect and very affective and key part to the show. Great job to those who are involved with this project

    I don’t write reviews...
But I will for Outpost. If you listen to the first couple episodes and hem and haw about the voice acting, stick with it. It’s a great ride, it has the vibe that Trek purests love, reminiscent of TNG or DS9, but doesn’t fall back on technobabble too much. They’re able to sprinkle in just enough tongue in cheek sci-fi/current references to keep you paying attention. Modern Trek fans will enjoy the action, that they do pretty well. They have very strong character development, good hooks, good dialogue (a weak point for many fan podcasts), good sound design, and they have me coming back for more every episode. I’m lucky to have started listening in 2020, with almost a decade of catching up to do, I don’t know what I’ll do when I finally catch up. I don’t write reviews, but I wrote this one just for the hope they’ll keep making these in a timely manner. Great job Gnomes, keep up the great work!

Head and shoulder above the rest of the “story” trek podcasts. Although they don’t turn out content at the rate they used to, the content is still top notch!!!! Please never stop guys!!

    Amazing
It wish the show continued success. Far surpasses any swill CBS is currently putting out.

    Excellent
Any Star Trek or sci-fi fan will enjoy this show. Totally binge worthy, but be warned, you will want more by the time you catch up. Please make more. I love this show. I really hope there’s another season coming.

    Very Entertaining
It takes a bit to get going, but the stories are great, and the production is wonderful. I’ve listened to all of the episodes through twice and can’t wait for more.

    Love this podcast
I absolutely love this podcast. I have listened to it at least three times all the way through. The storylines and production are amazing. Keep it coming!
  • Charger 96
    Impressed
I love the storylines, the special effects and the drama. It is very well put together. My one complaint is the skill level of the actors overall. You can clearly tell that they are reading a script. I almost have to remove the image of the actors holding their lines in front of them from my mind as I hear them. The Dr Of DS3 in particular is difficult to listen to. There are many others but she takes the cake. Otherwise, good show.
  • Aarcare
    Great show!
I really enjoy listening to this show. Well produced and well acted. I am glad it has been running for as long as it has been, I hope it continues to be made since many of these fan productions seem to fizzle out and never get finished. Keep up the great work!

    Amazing!
I’ve listened through this whole show a few times over the years, and I love it more and more each time! The characters are complex relatable, and the story so different yet thrilling! Definitely give this show a listen!

    Truly a Star Trek experience
If you have ever heard to old radio dramas that are featured on programs such as “When Radio Was” you can see, or rather hear what is being so well accomplished here with Star Trek Outpost. Great voice talent, compelling storylines and excellent use of sound effects and music grasp the listener. An excellent addition to the Star Trek ethos and an enjoyable experience for any sci fi fan.

    Conflicted
I’m 16 episodes in and while I find the plot extremely compelling, the flat characters and even flatter acting can make episodes difficult to get through. Other reviewers have said it improved with time and I think the story is good enough to stick with it for a while longer. Edit: 45 episodes in and while some of the reading still feels stiff, many characters have developed to a point where I am deeply invested in their arcs. Officially hooked!!

    Engaging and entertaining
This show combines a compelling story, excellent voice acting and wonderful sound effects for an overall immersive experience.

Starts out weakly but eventually gets going. And it’s really Trek ❤️
I’ve gotten through past 21 and it’s started getting really good. At first I really wasn’t feeling it but since it’s Trek, had to listen. Well now it’s gotten really good and the acting has gotten better. Not to mention we don’t hear “no more, no less,” a ridiculous amount of times to the point it makes me feel violent. It still is said but usually whatever context it’s said in is more appropriate and not so cheesy. It’s still an amateur production, but it’s real good for one. Recommend you keep listening if you feel it’s going too slow.

    Is Star Trek Outpost Dead?
It has been almost 6 months since the 12/7/2017 last entry and no new episode! What is going on?
  • gratefulshredder
    Great!
Get past the first few episodes and it’s great! Sound effects, writing, and acting are fantastic! The farther I get into the show the better it gets. Really great job! I’m on episode 39 hope to get caught up before the new season!
  • CRC1981
    Really good!
I’m only about ten episodes in, but really impressed so far. I think this would hold its own as a plain old audio drama, but it’s also a pretty solid Trek endeavor. Quality sound and editing, pretty good acting (some characters are not great, but no one is terrible or cringey- the Ferengi guy is awesome), and good writing. The storyline is interesting but not overly complicated. And no ads! Leaps and bounds better than any other Trek fan pods I’ve heard, even a lot better than some of the audiobooks narrated by original crew members.

Feels too good to be true, but it is
This podcast series feels exactly like a real series of the show. It humorous the Trekkie inside me and well almost seems too good to be true. However, the only issue I had with that is it was a little slow to start off, but this phase ends pretty quickly.
  • Trumpeter53
    Great Fan Trek!
This production is better than the Orville and what CBS is playing on their premium service. It gets what trek is about and is very well produced and is long running, so enjoy a long story!
  • Trekkie4lyfe
This show is the standard I compare all other shows by
I am a hardcore Trekkie and I have always loved audio dramas. Ironically, I was looking for a Star Trek audio drama but I wasn’t expecting to find anything. Imagine my surprise when, not one, but a handful of Trek audio dramas pop up from my search. This is the first one I listened to; out of all the Trek audio dramas I’ve listened to this far, this one is by far the best. (I’ve listened to Lost Frontier, Lost Enterprise, Section 31 Files, & Excelsior) The casting is well done; the vocal qualities of the performers fit each character so well. It is obvious that a lot of thought and care went it the show’s production, including casting. The first 6-10 episodes don’t have the best balance of sound (the background noise overwhelms the characters speaking) but this is fixed very early on in the show. The storylines are phenomenal and each episode leaves me hungry for the next piece of the plot. The characterization is believable and relatable. The dialogue is genuine (a couple of other Trek podcasts have really really campy dialogue). Chief Knox really grows on you and he is my absolute favorite character. I also love the deep & complex friendship of Dr. Breetal & Captain Buchanan. It’s been a delight to “get to know” Captain Buchanan better and I look forward to his continual personal growth. The drama is real and intense but also believable. It stays within the “Trek limits” of drama. A minor thing though but sometimes the audio is louder in my left headphone than my right (or vise versa). I know it’s not my headphones; it happens with every pair of headphones I use and only with some podcast audio dramas. It seems like it happens when 2 or more characters are sharing a microphone and the audio isn’t balanced between the left & right audio speakers very well. I tend to be more sensitive to things like that. It’s just a minor distraction and the plot is so good that it’s easy to soon ignore it. All in all it is a fantastic show. I have told all my Trek friend about it and the word is really getting out to the far corners 😄. I am enthusiastically looking forward to episodes 75+. Keep up the high quality work Giant Gnome! And LLAP 🖖🏻

    Awesome
I just recently discovered Star Trek Outpost and I have to say I love it I have already listened to it twice and I can't wait for the next episode. I love all the characters and the fact it takes place in a part of space that people basically forgot about. I love the whole thing it is such a great podcast I give it 10 stars.
  • Semaj12345
    Fantastic Trek!
I am currently on the last episode after binge listening. I LOVE how the story, world, and cast have come together. This family-friendly fan-driven Trek is a MUST listen for every Star Trek fan. Every good Star Trek series has a Spock, Data, Doctor, etc. who makes the fans reflect upon what it truly means to be human. In Star Trek: Outpost, surprisingly, this is the Captain of Deep Space 3...a human. With 74 episodes under their belts, you come to care about the characters rather quickly. The writing is superb. I have laughed, thought, cringed, "gotten dust in my eye," etc. a hallmark of good story telling. Keep it up, guys!
