    Let Randy go.
Randy Jordan is such a blowhard on this podcast. He looks up IMDB and reads from the site. Scott and Brian I. are stellar.

Film Sack: A Hilarious Deep Dive into Movies (5 out of 5 stars)
Film Sack is an absolute gem for any movie lover. This podcast perfectly blends humor, insightful analysis, and genuine passion for cinema. Here's what I love: The hosts: The chemistry between the guys is fantastic. They're funny, knowledgeable, and passionate about movies, which makes for incredibly engaging listening. Whether they're cracking jokes, dissecting plot points, or passionately defending their favorite films, they're always entertaining. Deep dives: Film Sack doesn't just offer surface-level discussions. They delve into the details, exploring themes, cinematography, acting choices, and even the historical context of the films they cover. This level of analysis is refreshing and truly enhances your appreciation for the movies they discuss. Humor: The hosts have a knack for finding humor in even the most serious films. Their witty banter and playful jabs keep the show light and entertaining, even during deep dives. Variety: Film Sack covers a wide range of movies, from cult classics and hidden gems to mainstream blockbusters. This variety ensures there's something for everyone, and it keeps the show fresh and exciting. Overall, Film Sack is an exceptional podcast that I highly recommend to anyone who loves movies. It's informative, entertaining, and sure to leave you laughing.

    Best movie podcast there is
Been listening since Krull like 15+ years ago and this one has never left the top of my queue. These guys kill it.
  • PoorMarcus
    Zero stars
These guys drag things out with their poor attempts to be funny instead of actually talking about the films.

Please don’t ruin a good show
From a year or two ago. A year or so ago, I gave this 3 stars and whined about the looong openings. I still think they’re meh (boys you’re not comedians so how bout editing them down a bit). But this is still one of my go to podcasts on my bike rides; it’s funny, informative and there’s some good chemistry between the guys. Careful of injecting politics in. That’s killed more podcasts than sanctimony. But the show is fun; have two more stars on me. And from today. An update since I dropped the rating to 4 stars. Why oh why do people have to inject their politics into fun things. It’s subtle (other than Randy) and nothing compared to any show by NPR. But it’s getting close to where I don’t know if the movie is good or simply has the right political slant. I’m closer to dropping it, but I still like the guys though the one with Tourette’s is a bit much sometimes. And I still hate the openings, but I always skip ahead a few minutes so no big deal.

I love me some FILM SACK
So good, so funny so much enjoyment. These guys are smart but not smarmy (takes a while to warm up to Randy, but give him time… I’ve come to find him sincere) the rest of the 3 guys are from TMS which is another amazing podcast. Listen to all the frog pants stuff while you at it

It’s past time to let Randy go.

    Consistently Enjoyable
I have been listening to this podcast for some time. It’s always good. The guys are pretty funny and I appreciate that they can be corny. But to me that makes them endearing. I generally enjoy their takes on most of the movies. And they usually avoid most other podcasts’ trope of everything having to be political. It’s a movie podcast and they keep that the focus. It does exactly what they mean it to, entertain. Keep up the great work!

    One of my favorite podcasts
You guys are awesome! You say you want to do more Geoffrey Rush movies. Do Mystery Men! I can’t believe you guys haven’t done that one yet. One of my favorite stupid movies from my childhood.

The best movie podcast ever created….
By far my favorite podcast to listen to. It wouldn’t be a good day without listening to these guys. Their charisma between the 4 of them is nothing short of amazing and a joy to listen to their banter in the movies we all know and love and others that you may have never heard of. I absolutely love these guys and can’t recommend them enough. Why they’re not a 5.0 I cannot understand because they should be.

    Nice Show. Randy is exhausting.
Great show. Very consistent. Nice, relaxing reprieve from a lot of the other shows out there. But Randy “aloha” Deluxe might be a narcissist and he really makes it a hard show to listen to. Not sure how or why you guys don’t replace him with anyone else. The girl that used to do reviews on the morning stream would be a much better listen.

    Since Day One
I have listened to this podcast since Krull! It is my time stamp on about how long I have been listening to podcasts. Other podcasts have come and gone, but these four guys talking about movies has always brought me joy. Thank you for all years of entertainment and a very different way to look at cinema. I hope you continue to do this podcast until there are no more sackable films left.

    First podcast
Lost my podcast virginity to this one. Been listening for so long I have forgotten where it was that I started. We have been together for years. I will never quit you. You’ve all made me mad, made me look like an insane person belly laughing, sad, happy, sad again, and happy all over.

    Movie buddies
I’ve always wanted to have buddies to round table talk about movies with. Especially some of the more odd ones. Thanks for the laughs.
  • Now Hoof Hearted
    Love these guys!
Been listening since day one, love their chemistry together! Each one has taken turns being my favorite, currently Dunaway has really been cracking me up as of late. Hope the podcast never ends!

Another show I must move on
I remember listening to this a few years ago. And then I got back into thinking about past movies, which lEd to the show. And I was enjoying the show till bit by bit the political leanings became clear and that it wasn’t a type of oh ideas different then ours would be welcome kind of feel. Moving on with my time

    I love Filmsack too!
Thanks Scott and company for such a fun podcast.

    I love Film Sack
I have been listening to these guys for what feels like forever and I owe them this review. This podcast really delivers every episode and has made me burst out laughing at work more than once. If you watch the week’s movie before hand it is 100x better, but even if you can’t be bothered, it’s still super entertaining. You’ll grow to love the format these guys give you each week and will eventually be guessing what grossed Scott out the most while you’re watching the movie. 10/10 love these guys and the shows they produce.

    Finish Him
They’ve done Mortal Kombat. They’ve done the Alien movies. But will they ever do “You Got Served”? Only time will tell.
  • Nimbus88
Still good, but not what it was 5 years ago.
Randy has become so combative. He always seems annoyed and it feels like the other hosts are getting exasperated with his mood/tone. Scott, Brian and Brian all still have great chemistry though.

    Randy = Insufferable
I said in a prior review that Dunaway was insufferable. I think I meant Randy. Don’t worry, listener. If you hear just one episode, you will know what/who I am talking about. (My last review was two stars. That rating stands, but to minimize the impact of this correction - i.e. to not hit them with TWO two-star reviews, I made this one three stars, so as to not hurt them unfairly.)
  • Wellthatsucks.
Late to game on this one...
I only started listening to this podcast within the last year or two because I needed more Frogpants content. Scott Johnson, Brian Ibbott, Brian Dunaway and Randy Jordan are always funny and have a wonderful chemistry together as a group. Best listened to if you've watched the movie they're discussing but I've also enjoyed episodes without watching said movie and was just as entertained.
  • SatieMama
    Great podcast??? Oh sure!!
Oh Hi... did I️ ever tell you about the time I️ listened to the best movie podcast ever? True story... and you will enjoy it too if you follow these three simple rules which were just handed to me... keep and open mind, tell your friends about how down to earth these guys are, and check your ego at the door, like you would on a Friday night at Ibbots House! Keep up the great sacking fellas!
  • enshaallahversion65
    Used to be good
I used to love Film Sack, but I want this to be an escape to talk about trashy movies, not a 2 hour diatribe about your lukewarm takes on current politics
  • ClayMoore77
    For amateurs only.
This podcast... geez. If you enjoy guys who don’t understand movies talking about movies then this is the podcast for you. The hosts are as follows: You’ve got the dumb guy who does bad drawings, the other dumb guy with bad taste in music, the absolutely insufferable guy, and the saving grace of this podcast, the funny guy from South Carolina. Aside from that guy, this podcast is a perfect example of “smarmy Gen Xers in basements making podcasts”. Congrats guys, you’ve honed the craft of being smarmy on the internet to a razor’s edge.

    My Favorite Podcast
I discovered this podcast at the beginning of 2020 and the timing could not have been more serendipitous. This podcast has helped me TREMENDOUSLY to get through 2020. Whenever I need an escape, I queue up an episode. My best friend and I quote the Film Sack crew more than we quote the actual movies. Keep up the awesome work!

Wow, been listening to this show for... years!
Great job movie nerds, after episode 1 till now, I’m still coming back to listen to your goofy meta banter. I guess your good at what you do, even though your all a bunch of 50 year old teenagers that never made it out of puberty. I guess that’s why I get you all, since I’m one of you! Thanks for all the chuckles as we dive deep into the movie-verse.

Gets worse the more I listen
I’ve listened to this podcast since 2010, and I continue to listen and enjoy. Sadly, more time that passes the more Randy Jordan annoys me. He is a perfectly nice guy that, sadly, has zero chemistry with the rest of the hosts. He refuses to actually converse with the rest of the cast during the show. Every thing he says is a monologue only vaguely related to what the rest of them were talking about. Or worse, it’s a complete change in topic. Any interesting dialogue comes to a grinding halt. Many things he says are interesting, but after a while it becomes having a fun fact shoved in your face while you were trying to enjoy a conversation. If I wanted trivia on a movie, I would read Wikipedia.

    Enjoyable
I do really enjoy this podcast, but maybe Tangent Sack would be a more accurate name.
  • albert cader
    Absolutely love this show!
These guys have reliably presented an excellent show week after week for years. I have listened since the start and the show is high quality all the way. Lighthearted and fun without the excessive hooting and hollering you get elsewhere. No politics, Just good talk about the films.

    Great Cast One Problem
Dunaway and Ibbott make this show funny and provide a good perspective. Randy provides a unique perspective that makes the gears turn. Scott is kind of the monkey in the middle in a fun innocent way. I listened to Scott’s shows from the ELR days until today, almost every show on the network. The content use to be non political, entertainment focused, lets all get along for an hour and a half type of show. A few years ago when Trump got elected Scott turned his politics antenna to max and his megaphone to eleven. He has insulted my views several times. I also know he doesn’t care, because he has said as much several times. I There is so much competition for my time and listening hours I can be super selective with what I listened to. I am not a Trump person. I am fiscally libertarian and socially I am moderately conservative BUT libertarian in policy. I am not going to listens to someone insult some of my values weekly or hypocritically claim his positions are morally superior when they are incredibly biased while he calls me (people with my values) a hypocrite. Scott is you ever read this I want to thank you for 10 years of podcasts (not really the last three, 13 years total). I am glad I got a chance to support you on patreon and through twitch when things were good. I will check in every now and then.

    Best Podcast Out There
These guys are hilarious - I feel like I’m talking about a movie with friends when I listen to them. Irreverent and smart; easily my favorite podcast.
  • mattpennington
    Mostly good
Has been my most consistently listened to Frogpants podcast and when it comes to movie related podcasts I think they pick the best movies. However when it started it really was more of an ensemble. Unfortunately over the last few years it really has become the Randy and everyone else show and it really become insufferable to the point of me having to skip sections of Randy. He seems to feel the need to drive the conversation or you can sense his frustration. Not sure the solution but unfortunately the best episodes are the ones where most silent. Overall a great listen but prepared to have a skip button close for Randy sections and if he dominates early don’t be surprised that he tries to sway the groups thinking with long diatribes and what he thinks are “smart” monologues.

It’s Mostly Good, with some GREAT episodes
Film Sack is a mostly good podcast, lots of fun movies featured and mostly engaging conversation around said films. Sometimes they are extremely thoughtful around the films they discuss and sometimes, not so much. Production is great, mostly pretty funny, and could stand to be a little more focused. The cast is memorable! Randy is a contrarian but has the affable, “smart dumb guy” personality of Joe Rogan... so it kind of balances out. Scott is a lot of fun, and seems to be a genuinely great guy. The Brians are always a blast. All told, they remind me a lot of my real life friends and the times we spend BS-ing about our favorite bad movies. I’d recommend, but be forewarned, it’s MS3K-lite and you’ll get better analysis elsewhere. Still though, a favorite for car-rides and many exercise sessions. Check it out!

One of my favorite podcasts right now
I’ve been looking for a good podcast that I can binge while at work and Filmsack is perfect for that. I just download a bunch of episodes to listen to back to back and I’m good to go for the next few days. Every episode is hilarious with solid film analysis, plenty of laughs are to be had here. I’ve loved every moment of this podcast so far and I get stoked every time I see a notification for a new episode.
  • Spiffybumble
    Great for movie lovers
I generally scroll through and only listen to movies that I’ve already seen before, and it’s awesome hearing these guys mention something and then I’m like: “Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about that.” Like the floating restaurants in Fifth Element or the ants in Kingdom if the Crystal Skull. I think this podcast is especially good if you like diversity of opinions and story crafting.

I love the catalog of films and most of the dialogue. It's just.... Why does Randy think everything is too scary for anyone under 13? Holy cow it's exhausting.
