Felix nycNot a good show. This show disrespects women with management stating that men are women. I guess that concept in itself is horror. I prefer horror from a real woman’s point of view or a man’s. I don’t want a man acting like a woman telling me women stories.

redwolfhopw681Tell me again why the narrator’s proclivities are important to the listener???? Either way, I was so excited to hear about the narrator’s disorders, I hope he gets the help he needs. Subscription 😞 cancelled.

TsnavIdeologically CapturedThis podcast is well made but the creators can’t seem to keep their ideology out of the stories which ruins them. What’s worse is that it has the potential to be very dangerous should any minors be listening to some of the stories because that would most definitely qualify as grooming children. The obsession with self inserting confused queer or “non-binary” characters gives those stories a narcissistic tone because it usually has no bearing on the plot or story line. It’s like these characters are forced into the story in the most heavy handed, in your face way possible. Almost as if though have such a mental illness is the most interesting thing about the character. Perhaps consider putting a adult rating warning could help avoid grooming any children to such a dangerous ideology(?)

Fifth OrangeBeen a fan since the very beginningI love this show and have loved it since I first discovered it many many years ago. It has gone through many iterations and I look forward to the tales to come. Thanks to the team for all their hard work and dedication!

Xen0cideOne of the best collections of stories online.Been a listener for years and can say that this is one of the most consistently great podcasts out there. I consume a lot of short stories and audiobooks and always especially look forward to these. Thank you for sharing such awesome fiction with us!

jryanvTerrible narrationThe stories could be good, but the host is terrible. Weird pauses that do not make sense. It’s painfully awkward to listen to.
-
hederafemmeMartin Mundt has the most interesting stories! Some of the stories are just ok, and the information sections are a bit dull for me (I skip them), but occasionally there are some downright brilliant ones. The narration and stories of Martin Mundt in particular are some of the most fascinating, delightfully weird, inventive, and unsettling ones. I always look forward to those. Neat podcast with some hidden gems, and it’s obvious there’s a great deal of affection and care for the genre.

KingDiamondRulesSometimes it’s okSub par most of the time and the introduction lasts forever. Just get to the story and get on with it.
-
FuzeOneFinally!!Great stories .. stories that actually made sense !!! Especially the endings.. but to the narrator , if you know the wife of one of the writers but never met the husband how can you say they’re BOTH wonderful people ??🥴🥴🥴..
-

grneiesLifts me up, can’t wait for each storyNothing is treasured as being told a story as I rest my eyes, open my ears. Such variety in styles and words spun into a delightful fulfilling tingling for my brain. Most tales are a gourmet feast ! Keep up the fantastic creative juices flowing, I am hungry for more! Congratulations on years as a great podcast. My most favorite to date is spider babies.

Brittanyz123LOVE IT!!!!If you’re looking for “actual” creepy, and extremely well written stories then download this podcast!! Very minimal adds also, and they are easy to fast forward because they never interrupt a story. I love the host also, he just naturally has a creepy voice. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ryry0882Catching upAs of today 5/12/2021 I am at episode 70 and have been listening for three weeks. Will keep you posted. I enjoy how you have the time stamps so I can skip when I need to. Enjoy the storytelling and dumbstruck that I know of some of the narrators before they joined some of my other favorite podcasts. Update: As of June 1st I am starting episode 180, I am sad to know that Larry has passed, and glad that his podcast is still kicking. Update 2: July 1st finishing episode 366. Almost there, when I get caught up I will look into the Pateron. Update 3: On July 31st 2021 I caught up just before y’all hit the big 5 double 0. I powered through the flashbacks even though I really wanted to skip them. But it was nice to rehash some old stories. Keep up the great work and come on with those tantalizing, terrifying and traumatizing tales.

Lem775InspirationI like to write when I have a moment, but it’s been a while since I’ve had time to really think about it. Tales to Terrify not only tells great stories, but gets my own twisted imagination going, too! It’s like the zombie apocalypse of story concepts! Now, where to begin...?

De-smoundHigh quality horror stories! This scary and creepy fiction is so delicious and well performed. Soooo glad I found this podcast recently!

kelbaby1Lighthouse KeepersReid is great. More of that. Lalumiere is not. Not very creative and obnoxiously gratuitous with the vulgarities. Less of that.

AuroraINwonderlandHuge Fan now, been searching for a new Horror PodcastI started listening to Tales To Terrify, when searching for a new Horror podcast to listen to. I absolutely loved this one, generally I am just a curious listener/not really shaken by much...but into the third story I heard I was cynical of noises around me as well as anything that so much grazed my arm while listening... Good job.
-
ptennieLove the storiesGreat stories I often find myself listening intently!😊

kris10hillSuch a great podcast!!Thank you for making such a wonderful podcast. I can’t tell how much hard work and love goes into making it and it’s helped me get through 2020. Working from home and never leaving my apartment has been tough this year but you’ve helped me get through it and feel like I’m hanging out with friends...my very creepy, great story telling friends! 🧟♀️🙂 Thanks for all you do! Xo

Fishdick69Fantastic!I just found out about this podcast and decided to start on episode 400. Boy was I glad, and completely surprised! The story of homunculi combined with the amazing narration, made it an incredibly memorable story. I’ve been listening through the episodes as fast as I can and so far, I’ve enjoyed every one!
-
jjjen349Ads ruin itI have enjoyed listening to this show, particularly in bed, but the addition of the intrusive and particularly terrible ads have rendered this unlistenable!
-
lovelyblasphemyterrible british accentI really like this show but I hate the terrible British accent one of the voice actors does, I don't understand why they attempt to do one if they can't even do it correctly or consistently
-
OilragGreat podcastI always enjoy listening to the stories presented here. The writing, narration and hosts are excellent.
-
P.TwoBearsThe best fiction podcast. Period.I’ve listened to every single show, sometimes twice. There are so many podcasts out there— but none better overall in terms of story choice, wonderful narrators, always perfect hosts and quality production value. The long term commitment of this team is a testament to the great Larry Santoro's legacy. Never quit, guys.

angi0314Disappointed by interview in lieu of storiesSuper Disappointed by the interviews in lieu of stories.

tosh4everSo entertainingI’m so glad radio rental is back! This is one of my favorite podcasts... five stars!
-
CalgaeGood stories ruined by adsI understand that a podcast costs money to produce, so I am totally cool with the “premium content” model, or patreon, or even putting ads at the beginning, or the end, or even between multiple stories. The ads are my least favorite method, but I understand. But… when you start interrupting the freaking middle of the story with ads, you’ve gone way too far. Especially in a mood piece like a horror story, it just completely ruins the tone and the flow. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
-
Patroclus AGreat podcastDecent spooky podcast. Unfortunately they changed the intro, and now it’s super cheesy and sets the wrong tone.

SnarkclawFantastic Host, Fun Stories :-)Episode 433 (May 15, 2020) exemplifies what I like most about Tales to Terrify: its personable host. I like the stories and the readers, of course! Those brought me to the podcast and kept me engaged as I listened to the backlog and the pre-Sebesteny days. But the host has such a clear passion for the podcast and such fun with it. I am unbelievably picky about "personal sharing" and other "extra content," so the fact I genuinely enjoy listening to segments like personal tales or last year's trek through United States' ghost stories is a real statement. Thank you, Mr. Sebesteny, for being such a delightful host, and for bringing entertaining scares to your children of the night. :-)
-
LoralindaHighly recommendedMany podcasts are a labor of love. What sets this podcast apart is that you can hear the passion and dedication in the host’s intros and in the selection of stories. Consistently thought provoking, well-written tales that are told by talented voice artists. This is a gem.
-
auto-de-feThe 11th DayI believe this is one of the best short stories that I’ve ever heard told. I lov the horror genre to the point of having becom jaded, but I was refreshed with this tale. Twisted.
-
kittychii93Spooktacular!I’ve been looking for a new horror podcast, and I’m so glad I found this one! I love the variety and quality of stories that I’ve listened to, so far. And the opening music is great. Thanks to the Tales to Terrify team for their hard work and making this podcast a reality!

AyabieReally want to like this podcast but...Highly audible, very frequent (like once every three sentences frequent) swallowing noises don’t get cut from the audio of many of the male narrators. Most of the female narrators have piercing, high pitched whistling on the “s” sounds that make me have to turn the treble down to the negative values to make it even listenable. Some of the stories have great sound quality, and others sound like they’re recorded with the built in mic from a laptop or on someone’s phone. Finally, the volume of some of the stories is so low that even with my car stereo turned to full blast, all levels maxed, and sound all routed to the speakers near the driver’s seat I still can barely hear the story. This isn’t freeway driving, folks. This is 20mph on quiet residential streets. And my car stereo can get so loud that a podcast with good quality sound (like The NoSleep Podcast) can vibrate the window panes of nearby vehicles at full volume. I know this is a labor of love by the people who make Tales to Terrify. I know they don’t get paid and that the Patreon donations are used to pay authors and show expenses. But I also know that some of these issues aren’t that hard to address, especially the one about the volume, and would make a huge difference in the quality of the finished product.
