    Love the new logo!
It’s nice to see (and hear) that this show is back! I’ve been listening since The New York Times days and the hosts continue to be smart, well informed and very funny.

    Welcome Back!!!!
Welcome back PTJ!!!!!! Glad to have you back in my ear buds after your hiatus. J.D. and El Kaiser deliver the news about PopCulture, Tech and other current events the other shows won’t touch or go way toooooo loooooong about. Just the snippets we want to hear and in the right amount, delivered with the journalistic professionalism Cronkite and Murrow and the dead pan comedic timing of Abbott and Costello (yes, I am old). Looking forward to all you shows in your Next Gen phase. Give a listen and join the Jam!! <<<review NOT generated with ChatGPT>>>

    These two are the BEST
Informative tech news from two good friends that are as clever as they are insightful. I use this podcast as a pick me up--a welcome break from the daily news. Useful tips that make my use of technology more effective. And listening will help you better understand what is happening in the world of technology. Delightful. I look forward to every new podcast.

    Love these hosts!
I've been listening to these two for years, from back when it was part of a major media outlet. Great way to keep up with the major news developments along with entertaining banter and informed opinions.

Go to source for the week's tech news
Best tech news podcast out there. JD and Pedro summarize the stories of the week with an entertaining back and forth banter. It's also great when they review new tech gear. Send them your latest stuff so they have more to review!

A friendly podcast that talks tech
JD and Pedro are longtime podcasters who had a great weekly program though the New York Times. One day that publication decided to end most of their podcasts, including Tech Talk. It was truly a dark day for those who liked learning about the tech world. Happily after a bit of a hiatus, Pedro and JD rose like a phoenix with this independent podcast. It starts with weekly roundup of tech news, followed by a feature or two. What is great is that this podcast does not assume that everyone are tech experts. Therefore, everyone can enjoy the show, from tech-savvy engineers, to technophobes who fear that their coffee makers will rise up against them. (Well, maybe that is just Pedro Rafael Rosado’s fear)...

Most fun way to stay current on tech
Listen to this podcast every week and you will always be up-to-date on what’s happening in consumer tech. J.D. and Pedro let their great personalities shine through, yet focus on what’s important, the tech news. It is GREAT to see an independent podcast with high production values. It is one of my weekly go-tos. Thanks guys!

    Best Tech News Podcast Ever
The best, most fun way to learn about the latest tech news & get tech tips. Builds on NYTimes Tech Talk, but even better! If you're a tech geek you must listen to this!

    My Favorite Tech Update Option
Love the information shared with humor and clever perspective on what is happening in the tech world.

The Kaiser's on a roll, and so is JD.
After the demise of Tech Talk, I was so happy that JD and Pedro reunited for Pop Tech Jam. I've been on board since the beginning and ti's part of my Saturday morning routine. I love tech, but don't really follow it to the point of reading magazines and so on, so this is a great fun way to find out what's going on out there. Like all great podcasts, JD and Pedro are delightful company and you'd love to be at a party with them. I may or may not have stalked Pedro once when I spotted him in my neighborhood...

Part of my weekly podcast listening pleasure. Used to listen to them when this was part of the Times. Hey, even got a shout out once. Good listen for the novice and advanced techie.

    Love this show~!
True New Yorkers talking all things tech. Normally I don't like regionally inflected voices, but JD and El Kaiser are so funny it works. Smart and insightful.

    The only podcast foe me!
I love this show - both for the updates on current pop-tech and "opinions" on the news, but even more for the banter and humor Pedro and JD bring to each show. (Which tablet will PRR buy next and what will his kids do with his castoffs?) And each podcast is just about the perfect length for me - not too long. If I could only listen to one podcast each week - it would be this one!
  • Khenryknol
Entertaining and good information, stay updated on tech
Great podcast that balances getting through a lot of tech news while also going in-depth on some interesting topics. Very informative and a great way to stay up-to-date with what's new and what's coming up in technology

    Lost Found Greatness
Ok, I've been listening to these two since before they started this latest incarnation. And I'm really glad they keep doing this, because during their brief break between ventures I was instantly at a loss to find tech news that was (1) pithy (they cover all the bases in a half an hour, thanks to their news segment) (2) relevant to my interests (keep those headphone reviews coming, Pedro) (3) funny -- J.D. is flying below the radar as one of the country's quickest wits, almost Groucho Marx quick, with an understated delivery. They put a lot of care, thought and work into this little podcast, which is a welcome relief from all the meandering hour(s)-long tech podcasts out there.

    Best Tech Talking Today
If you want to have some fun, learn about neat tech, and fit it all in a discussion of emerging culture—this is your destination. When a leading publication decided to end these podcasters' regular talk about technology, I was both angry and disappointed. I decided to write to the editors to voice my view that technology is more than gadgets and that the hosts of those podcasts were always informative and creative in their approach. I thought that I would never hear them again. A few months later, I received an email—from JD (!) saying that she and Pedro were returning to the podcast universe with Pop|Tech|Jam. I instantly sought them out on iTunes and subscribed. I have listened to every episode since the beginning. I can clearly hear them having fun but also providing a needed perspective on issues that are part of what we do, see, and hear using all these devices and platforms. They pay attention to the implications of our tech world—concerns about the overuse of technology and how it can become an unwelcome viewer and unknown influencer of our habits have been the best of their reporting. It is simply excellent.

    Terrific show
Right-on tech reviews and tips that are really, really useful, right now. The style and humor of J.D. and Pedro have me watching for each week's download on itunes.

    I found Jesus
Well not exactly but that's how it feels. When you see two radio, video and publishing personalities using their own time, money and resources to put together an informative podcast that you have no choice but to laugh and learn, then you should be a subscriber. No commercials, no sponsorships, no subliminal messages, nothing to buy, nothing to fear. If you are a geek, this podcast is a must, if you are not what are you waiting for? If you are doing binge viewing on Netflix, poptechjam will make you binge listening to all previous podcasts. Fun, informative, current and always a pleasure to listen.

    I love the show
Real, funny, informed, familiar. JD and Pedro are the dynamic duo that keeps me real, funny, informed and… familiar (?). They have great takes on technology trends, privacy, pop culture and music. Fun people to hang around with. I’ve been a fan for, gosh, years now...

    Cover the world of geek!
This is a very entertaining and equally informative look at all things geek--tech, music, movies, gear--by two people who really know what they're talking about.

Like hanging with tech buddies in the living room
Nice recap of tech news, movie news, series news - Good technical info - (They got me listening to music with good headphones instead of the awful stock in-ear ones) - Pedro Rafael Rosado and J.D. Biersdorfer sound like people I'd hang out with, and have hung out with - Good delivery with just the right level of humor and sometimes, yes, snarkiness. Excellent production - A must in your library of tech podcasts!

When you vanished from you-know-what, I was sad. Then, recently, I accidentally discovered you guys again! I guess I missed a Tweet somewhere, 'cause I didn't know where you went. Happy Happy Joy Joy! These guys are smart, funny, and best of all supergeeks! Tech info is fun!

    My tech geek podcasting pals
I've been listening to JD and Pedro for a cool year now (pretty much since I discovered how great podcasts really are) and they, week by week, deliver great information in a fun way. It truly is like listening to a couple of my own nerdy friends carry on about tech news. Keep it up guys.
  • drphilns
    PTJ excellent tech review
This is even better since it got reincarnated. Sometimes, this is a little too focused on tablets; I wish that they would talk about pc's a little more. Overall, Rosado and Biersdorfer are very entertaining and informative. I eagerly listen every week.

    Simply the BEST!
The absolute best podcast of current tech and pop culture news, delivered with the professionalism and thoroughness of Murrow and Cronkite, mixed with comedic timing of Abbott and Costello, this show hits a high mark week after week and is a must have podcast subscription. Try it today and you won't be disappointed.

    One of my favorite podcasts
When the NY Times canceled all their podcasts last year, I was extremely sad to see JD and Pedro's 'Tech Talk" disappear. When I learned that JD and Pedro had launched Pop Tech Jam, just about a year ago, I was elated. They provide a great mix of useful information, informed (and/or personal) commentary, all with wonderful humor. If you are not a tech geek who watches genre TV and movies, you may miss, or not understand, some of their references, but, if you are listening, you will probably get all or most. After a year, I feel the show just keeps getting better and better, and it puts a smile on my face each week when iTunes informs me that there is a new episode available. Thanks guys, and please keep it up!

    Great to have you back
Enjoyed the NY times tech program until it was discontinued. The two hosts are informed and really seem to enjoy technology. Unlike other such programs they are on task, not boring, and entertaining

One of the best podcasts around!
I was stunned to learn that The New York Times had decided to cancel all their podcasts. "Tech Talk" was the best of NYT's audio offerings and I was incredibly disappointed to see the show go. Thankfully , J.D. and Pedro decided to put together a new podcast on their own and while the show is similar in structure to their old show there is a looseness and a freewheeling, "New York" sensibility to " Pop Tech Jam" that their old show lacked. The production sounds great and the mixture of tech smarts, playful sarcasm, fun and obvious passion for all things geek comes across strongly. J. D. and Pedro are a great team and I honestly look forward to every new episode!
