I’ve lost count of how many times this show has ended. I’ve followed it from the early days, enduring a revolving door of hosts (some better than others). Hmm…mixed feelings about the future—if there is one. I appreciated that unlike other podcasts where I have to carve out a long hour or more of my life to listen, this was a nice, do-able half hour or less, short byte of Apple News and opinion insights. Ken has done a great job in his stint with the show. Will miss it.

I have been listening to this podcast for years. Since Covid and President Trump there has been drips and drops of name calling and leftist ideology. I listen to this podcast for Apple Tech news, which has great value. But even in today’s episode the calling of “the crazies” on Twitter that would hypothetically write replies concerning Apples new change in Covid policies, is total leftist extremism. Yes I am against Vaccines. Ok you are for them. Great, go get the vaccine. Keep your policies for YOU to follow. But why have these constant drops of your political views and name calling of others that oppose your views put in a Apple Tech News Podcast.

Ken Ray is great to listen too and very knowledgeable about technology and more! I have listen to him on this podcast and his other two: Mac OS Ken and The Checklist. I highly recommend all 3 you won’t be disappointed.

Was sad to see this podcast go offline. Was very happy I did not unfollow. Was so happy to hear Ken Ray’s voice. After a few weeks of returning and Ken’s producer and interviewer skills I love this podcast even more now.

After listening to daily news about Apple, I can get a more in depth chat with guests about what is going on. Perfect!

A huge “Thanks” to whoever was responsible for making the decision to hire him. —————————————————————————————————- Bottoming out… The show is only good now when Dave Hamilton is on, he brings a professional tone to things. Otherwise it's torturous to endure. The sound quality of recent episodes has been horrible, especially Charlotte's mic. It's somewhat understandable for a remote guest's sound to be sub-par, but Charlotte is a show regular - fix her sound! Don't you ever check the final product your listeners receive? Kelly, please for the love of all that is holy, quit with the constant use of giggles as punctuation! It's not cute, funny or endearing, itmakes you sound like a crazy stupid child - I know you have to be smarter than you sound.

Security Friday is a must. The seemingly never ending saga of security breeches makes one wonder how long the current state of the Wild West internet can continue with business as usual. The typical organizations mode of dealing with a breech appears to be a tiny bit of pr damage control and vowing to be better next time.

I was away for almost a year and came back to see how things were going. Nothing changed. Goodbye giggling buckaroo. This is becoming too distracting (giggles)

If they trust China , fine. But there is evidence China does spy and does steal American technology.

This show is completely moronic it’s for numbskulls. I was just listening to your podcast talking about the the new Apple TV app all I here from you it doesn’t do this it doesn’t do that how long have you used the application have you given it a month or two I mean please guys you can do better than this is absurd if you want to do an actual review of something you have to use it on a day-to-day basis for at least a month before you decide to pass judgment on it

Nothing personal against anyone on the show. No attacking or judging I just feel that they are too quick to judge, don’t do enough research, and that I know more about Apple than they do. Their last episode about Apple TV app specifically talked about several things that were incorrect and miss positioned.

I unsubscribed after about a week after Kelly took over due to the random laughs at everything and constant um hm while someone was talkiing. The only time the show is decent is when Dave Hamilton is on and keeps the order.

Or they need to quickly understand why people might be unsubscribing. I really miss Jeff’s easy-going nature. I find it unnecessary for the host to do a verbal comment at the end of every spoken sentence. For me it off putting and breaks the train of thought of the guest, as if she wants to break in with a comment. Finally there is too much giggling after her own comments I don’t mean to be too harsh I certainly couldn’t do what she does, but to bring me back, as my dad used to say. They need some schooling

Great content but way too difficult to listen to this host. Sadly, looking for a different resource for Mac talk.

The changes to the show are timely and appropriate to the new avenues of tech. The concise topics appeal to a larger audience.

It just goes from bad to worse. Every day I listen (for years now) to this podcast. The recent change of host is nearly final straw. Please stop the giggling. “Be excellent...” at the end of the podcast is an obscure “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” reference, I get that, but why this meaningless statement at the end of the podcast? Please no more of this. The show has too much emphasis on social and technology trends and not enough on Apple hardware and software. Brian is occasionally insightful, but usually comes off as a pompous windbag. I do not care to hear his political views on an Apple podcast. I get plenty of that elsewhere. No more. Would you like to hear my political views? Didn’t think so. Dave Hamilton is usually pretty good. The woman guest (can’t think of her name) makes no meaningful contribution. I like Andrew’s analyses, but he needs to speak a lot more. I didn’t care for the last host, but it just got worse. Will now unsubscribe but will check in occasionally.

This was a great podcast. Putting Kelly as a main host was a big mistake. Not a pleasure listening to her. Deleted this podcast when she took the stand. I’ll check from time to time to see if things have changed and then I’ll be back. Wrong move…

I have been listening to The Mac Observer’s Daily Observations podcast since the days of Ricky Spiro. When Jeff Gamet left I was very sad for myself but happy for Jeff. I have continued to listen to this podcast since the addition of Kelly Guimont but it is not at all easy. Kelly is obviously technologically knowledgeable but this is offset by her multiple shortcomings. Her delivery consists of erratic speech patterns interspersed with laughter where laughter is not called for, like those individuals who pepper their communications with inappropriate “lol”s. Her opening “Howdy do buckaroos” makes no sense in a tech podcast. I really think that in her ending admonition to “Be Excellent” she thinks “Like Me!”. Kelly seems way too impressed with herself to the extent that one can easily see her saying, “Mirror, mirror on the wall whose the smartest and coolest of all. I am!” Her ego is also reflected in the way she refers to elected officials as “My congressman” as if she is on a first name basis with them. She also seems to think that because she is technically knowledgeable it also makes her super cool. She is neither super cool nor cool outside of tech. The shining light in this podcast is Andrew Orr. Andrew is very knowledgeable and a joy to listen to. He comes across as one of those persons who is very intelligent but humble and slightly shy. Listen for the good information and hopefully Dave Hamilton can find a replacement for Kelly. Thank you to the other reviewers who let me know that I am not the only one who finds most of Kelly’s delivery as pleasant as walking with cut feet in a pool of alcohol. I will continue to suffer through Kelly as long as I can stand it in part because of the many other great things that The Mac Observer gets right. 12/08/18 TMO has chosen to ignore Kelly G's negative ratings so I have stopped listening to this podcast until they find another host like Andre Orr. Also why the frequent appearances of Charlotte Henry? She doesn't really add much if anything. I will continue to check periodically to see if Kelly Guimont is still hosting. If she is dropped I will start listening again unless she is replaced by Charlotte Henry.

An unfortunate mistake by TMO to have Kelly Guimont hosting what was an EXCELLENT daily show with Jeff Gamet. Kelly knows her stuff, sure, but her delivery is absolutely nerve-wracking and childish. Turning off!

Certain guests are prone to political rants and personal attacks, including referring to those who disagree with them as 'enemies', 'intelectually lazy', and 'nimrods'. After listening to every epsiode since epsidoe one, the episode from June 11 was the last straw.

Been a couple weeks and I’m making this podcast a part of my day. Good job.

I liked it at first. Daily brief on all thigns Apple, nothing more. Insightful, entertaining, and straight forward. Now its a lot of ranting, politics, and I just can't lsiten to it anymore. I go to podcasts like this to get away from the daily grind, not to hear more of it. I like it when DAve Hamilton fills in, it's everythign you wanted it to be. Bye...

I listen to a couple dozen podcasts pretty religiously, but this is one of the best. Jeff and his guests always stay on topic, deal with realistic and timely issues, and respect my listening time by being consistent with their offering day in and day out. You don’t know how wonderful that is in today’s podcasting universe! I really do enjoy the point-counterpoint, the airing of opposing opinions, the occasional argument, and most of all the telltale giggles when Kelly is on the show. Please keep it up. I am always pleased when your show pops into my feed in the afternoon, and it’s one of the first ones I listen to as my day winds down and I’m trying to catch up with what has happened in the Apple universe. I love keeping up on tech and Apple Tech specifically. This short 10-15 min daily is one of my favorite podcasts to keep me up to date. Also, being a fan of TMO, the MGG, Context Machine, & The iOS Show (formerly We Have Communicators) podcasts, this is another way to listen to some of the folks whose thoughts and opinions I value. This podcast is definitely worth a listen.

I have been a long time listener of Mac geek gab and macbreakweekly. This has been a great addition to my Mac podcast lineup. Love the daily update on all things Mac related. Keep up the great work!

These guys do it right. This is such a favorite that it’s placed in my daily morning playlist. Jeff and the team at MacObserver share the hot topics from their morning meeting. Easily my favorite way to keep up with the day’s tech news centered around Apple. - keep it coming!

This has become a regular podcast for me. I only gave three stars because sometimes the audio on one of the guests cuts out. Would think they could manage the audio a little better. Otherwise I really like the format.

Bryan and Jeff are mainstays of my podcast listenning with the ACM podcast. Now with the shorter daily Observations podcast they bring in Dave, Kelly and John. Really love the topics covered and the thoughtful comentary. Thanks much guys

There are a lot of Apple-centric podcasts. I subscribe to several. The Mac Observer is one of my favorite because it is short and sweet. Most all episodes are a half hour or less so they get right to the point, stay on topic, and don’t drone on and one trying to fill time. Highly recommend!
