Anne Marie from TexasSo positive and hopefulI recently discovered your podcast and have really enjoyed listening to so many episodes! I am currently struggling with severe hand pain and carpal tunnel pain in both arms. I have been on the AIP diet for a few years now, but still struggle and think that I need to see a rheumatologist.

sue in marylandLife improved because of this podcastEileen’s compassionate and relaxing voice is the gateway to an amazing learning experience. I have found her books just as helpful. I’ve become more accepting of my autoimmune condition and hopeful about the rest of my life. She’s had some great guests who have inspired me to try new approaches to fitness and nutrition.

UrsulaCInspiring podcast and great sardine recipeI’m thrilled to discover your podcast. Thank you for creating such useful content. I made the sardine recipe today and it was delicious—like a tuna salad. I need snack idea on AIP and I’m excited to include a different oily fish in my culinary routine.

JoMama212Informative and inspiringI’ve been listening to this podcast for years since diagnosed with RA and began looking into various ways to manage it. KSM in NCFantastic for Autoimmune warriorsGreat podcast for those batting autoimmune disease and those following AIP diet. Also great for those who want to learn more!

sbgrovepoor choiceEnjoyed this podcast until Eileen had Shauna Ahern as a guest. Really bad judgment to give Ahern a platform and treat her like an expert when Ahern has no education/credentials in the things she talks about.
-
emc202Great PodcastI truly enjoy this podcast. The host, Eileen Laird does such a great job of breaking down complicated topics into easy to understand takeaways. Even on topics that appear not to be related to my issue or interest, I always come away with some good information from her or her guests. Also loved her audiobook, Simple Guide to Paleo autoimmune protocol. Presents the subject in a clear, non-pushy or preaching way.

IssymarebearSo informative and supportiveI’ve had RA for over 20 years. Elimination diet 14 years ago showed me no wheat, dairy or soy for me. But since having COVID 19 in June 2020, my RA has changed. I was recommended this podcast several months ago and it is life giving!!! I’m more knowledgeable now (so many topics covered) as I work through the catalog. Ultimately it has stoked my self- advocate fire when I was at such a low point and miserable in pain and swelling. I’m newly committed to AIP and definitely see light at the end of the tunnel! Eileen Laird’s work is exceptional!! I recommend this podcast to others trying to move the needle on their health journey.

SpamchannelgirlAlmost always learn something newI am a registered nurse with good basic understanding of human physiology and am well versed in conventional medicine. A friend told me about this podcast and I listen to topics that interest me, and I almost always add to my knowledge about the subject from the content. It’s a different perspective in most cases and I’ve found in general it is a good source of quality information. Highly recommend.

wonder.3.3Best podcast focusing on autoimmune health! What I love about this podcast is that it covers such a wide variety of topics. It’s never boring or repetitive. It’s insightful, inspiring, grounded in science, yet practical with its advice. Eileen is an expert interviewer and clearly prepares for every episode. And because she is an autoimmune warrior herself, she always asks the questions I want answered. Added bonus: her voice is so soothing. It feels like listening to a wise friend. I highly recommend!

MartaDeikeWow!!!! Outstanding episode!!!!!I just listened to Episode #9 Healing Stories. I'm usually not totally into these because no one ever talks about my rare disease. But I just heard Kris talk about her journey with Myasthenia Gravis. I don't have MG; I have LEMS (Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome) -- MG's sister illness -- close enough!!! My jaw is still on the floor. I can't even tell you how empowered I feel to hear her story, and to hear somebody real actually say they were able to reduce the amount of MG meds through diet and lifestyle. I've been taking a life-altering medication for 14 years. With it, I can work as a trial lawyer and high school track coach; without it, I can barely breathe. Due to a recent high court decision, the pharmaceutical company will no longer be able to provide it. Needless to say, I was (an am) terrified and heartbroken. The morning after I learned this news, I had an urge to listen to Phoenix Helix again, and there was Kris, in a very realistic, down to earth manner, talking about how she did reclaim her life, how she is managing with reduced medication, and more, how she is intuitively thriving. What a difference a podcast makes!!! I am actually excited now to give the AIP a try again, and a more devoted try. I have hope. Great interview Kris!!! And from the bottom of my previously heavy heart, thank you Eileen. ❤️

h_h_hAww jeezUsed to be my favorite health podcast. I was here for the first episode. Now I’m out. Famous and famous-ish people are all just clamoring to virtue signal these days. Note about Episode 181: the implicit bias test is not scientifically validated.

MIGS4Worth while listen for all people, especially ones with Autoimmune issues! This podcast is great all around. Eileen Laird is so knowledgeable and is an expert at questioning. She has such a calm voice, she speaks clearly and with intent, and her approach to autoimmune issues helps the listener understand these complex topics by pinpointing the exact questions and by asking the experts the precise questions running through the listener’s mind. The topics are fantastic and the guests are top notch experts with clear explanations of various topics related to autoimmunity (and more). Thank you Eileen for making this Podcast available to so many of us who have been “lost”. You’ve probably helped more people than you realize. Thank you. :)

theaipchroniclesHighly recommendI don’t know that I have ever learned so much from a podcast. I just discovered Phoenix Helix and I’ve been listening to as many episodes as I can. It’s like I’m taking a course on my health. You don’t even need an autoimmune disease to benefit from the knowledge though I have 3. It’s as though all these experiences I have had over the 25 years since my first diagnosis are being validated and I’m realizing shared by so many others. I’m truly grateful for this gem of a podcast!!

MercedesjohnsonLife changing!!!!I don’t know how I stumbled upon this podcast, but I’ve been listening for years. My first episode was with Elle Russ and she mentioned symptoms of Hashimotos that I have been dealing with my entire life that I thought were normal or bad genes from my parents. I went to a doctor from the list she recommended and I had thyroid antibodies (aka hashimotos). My life has been forever changed because of Eileen and the Phoenix helix podcast! Thank you for everything you do Eileen!
