Who better to host a show like this? (hint: no one)

    Great insight on the industry
I have listened to most of the episodes so far and really enjoy them. Nick is a thoughtful interviewer and gets great guests. A must listen for podcast people but also interesting convos for anyone to join.

    Smh 🤦‍♀️
This is awful, another miss. I thought LAist was supposed to produce podcast about LA and the “LA Culture”... blah blah blah. Are you all getting your family and friends to write all these 5 star reviews?? 🤔

    Inside Baseball Circle Jerk
Credit for the title goes to another reviewer, but it sums things up well. I’ve given Servant of Pod a good shot, but after listening to a handful of episodes, I’ve realized that it’s really only for people in the podcast industry who really only want to think and talk and listen to other people talk about the podcast industry. Well, the podcast industry, as it turns out, is not very interesting, or so this podcast would suggest. Nothing lost in giving this a go, but definitely nothing gained.

    Great New Show
I’ve always said I wished Nick Quah was on a podcast. Well...here it is. Thanks for listening to my internal thoughts. Great show! Great guests and informative. I’ll be listening.

Everything I had hoped for and more
I have been reading Nick's Hot Pod newsletter for years, with pleasure. I have always found it ironic that the only way to consume Nick's insightful analysis of the podcasting space was by reading with my eyes. So, I was thrilled to learn that Nick has finally launched a podcast of his own. After listening to the first episodes, I am very pleased that his podcast lives up to the high standard he has set for himself in the Hot Pod newsletter. I very much look forward to enjoying this podcast for years to come. Thank you so much, Nick!

    Zzzz
I was concerned about how bad this would be because his unhinged, rambling and sometimes incoherent newsletter and unchecked ego (he pitched himself to Longform...) indicates he lacks any self-editing skills whatsoever. He seems to have a team on this podcast that is good enough at getting him to be a bit more concise. But ultimately does the world need this inside baseball circle jerk? No.

So excited this pod has finally dropped. The entire industry hangs on Nick’s every word, so I’m excited to have him in my ears as well as my inbox. Go Nick go!
